For what? What do u want to do with my name and face? una wan come kill me? In fact, I don vex I'm outa here ![]() |
Are you asking me? I will first pray to God for his repentance, but if he doesn't change, omo! I'll quickly meet him one-on-one in his office, give him a piece of my mind without mincing words, then zoom off to another church. And I'll make sure I carry my family and friends along because I wouldn't want them to perish in hell all in d name of going to church. |
JUJU ke? :oThe community leaders should talk with the PHCN management in the area. This is how it is done in other communities suffering from power problems and I've seen it work. Juju can never be d solution to such PHCN problems. Dialogue and mutual understanding is always d best. |
As the saying goes, "remove the plank from your eyes before trying to remove the speck from another person's eye" The Benue State Chairman of Conference of Nigeria Political Parties, CNPP, Mr. Baba Agan, has faulted the impeachment threat by the House of Representatives against President Goodluck Jonathan, advising that the lawmakers should first purge themselves of corruption. Fielding questions from newsmen in Makurdi, yesterday, Agan said the plot by members of the House smacks of hidden agenda and not what they want Nigerians to believe. He said: “The way I see the whole issue, it goes beyond what they are saying. I am sure the non-implementation of the budget is not the real issue. I strongly believe that it goes beyond that. “It is either for political or selfish interest that they are doing what they are presently doing.” Agan recalled that corruption under democratic governance started with the members of the National Assembly, who under the past administration of former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, demanded huge sums of money as furniture and other allowances. He said the practise later extended to the state Houses of Assembly and councilors at the local government level. “I advise that the House members should first purge themselves of all the allegations of corruption hanging on their necks before embarking on this ill-fated assignment that will serve no useful purpose to the average Nigerian,” Agan added. I overheard someone saying that it's d way the SS people design their invitation letters. He said it is their professional jargons. It may not make meaning to you as a layman but they know what they mean. If you receive a letter from them explicitly stating that you are invited for an INTERROGATION, will you go? You no go run? |
He's a human being of course. He's entitled to his private life. "you must chop my groundnut, I don't care..." |
Keagan, Talia and Wati are the only three Housemates that are guaranteed spots in the StarGame finale at this point. A game that started with a total of 35 Housemates; 28 loud and rowdy Downvillers and seven posh, prim and proper Upvillers, has now been trimmed to seven deserving contenders vying for the coveted prize of US$ 300 000. With just one last Eviction in their way, time will tell who among Jannette, Kyle, Lady May and Prezzo will be joining the elite three finalists. You must be wondering how Keagan, Talia and Wati have made it to the finale; well let’s break it down for you. Though Wati was one of the nominated Housemates this week, by the powers vested in him as Head of House, he saved himself and sacrificed Kyle. Keagan is the only Housemate that wasn't nominated while Talia was initially put up by Wati alongside Jannette. One would have thought that since Jannette was already up for possible Eviction, the Head of House would have put Talia (his other choice) but she managed to survive by the skin of her teeth. So, Malawi, Zambia and South Africa are now sitting pretty in the finals of Big Brother StarGame. Who Will Join Them? The question still stands; who will be joining Keagan, Talia and Wati on Sunday? Jannette, Kyle, Lady May and Prezzo are up for possible Eviction this week. CLICK HERE to vote and keep your favourite Housemate in the game. |
The House of Reps alone has no power to impeach the president. The House of senate must also concent and with credible reasons too. Their warning sounds like an empty can that makes the loudest noise. B4 u say jack-robbinson now, the same person moving this motion and sounding the warning would still go to the president secretly and ask for the sum of 620,000 dollars for him to remove his name from the impeachment list. Shameless fraudulent bribe-taker! |

Monsignor Gabriel Osu, spokesman, Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos, noted that the judiciary was the last hope of the common man and urged the CJN to ensure dispensation of justice without fear or favour. Osu,who spoke in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), noted that corruption was high in the country. ``The problem with the judiciary is that it is a disjointed house, when the Court of Appeal is going left; the Supreme Court will be going right. ``She should make sure that justice is done and never delayed and that cases are attended to as and when due. I believe if she dispenses her duties very well the sky would be her limit.” Pastor Femi Asiwaju, the Vice President, Penticostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Lagos State chapter, also urged the CJN not to compromise in the performance of her duties. ``We are proud of our women in position of authority; they have always been very firm. So a woman being on the bench as CJN, we expect the same from her because it has been her hallmark.’’ Pastor Churchill-Peters Ayerume, the National President, Council of Foursquare Men, also stressed the need for Mukhtar to be conscious of her actions. ``If the men have not done well, I believe we should give women a chance,’’ he said, adding that her track records were indications that she would deliver. "A parliamentary probe into the subsidy scheme in April found it was riddled with fraud that had cost Nigeria $6.8 billion in just three years - equal to a quarter of the national budget. It was one of the biggest corruption scandals in the history of Africa’s top energy producer" The partial removal of the oil subsidy by the fed govt will go a long way in checkmating the fraud and embezzlemnts. You know, this subsidy removal and payment issue was just started in January this year. I therefore believe that the govt is still trying to suitably organize the payment process. |
D-Explorer:Guy take 5 ! You too much! |

When the boko haram released a statement "thanking Allah" 4 their success in the attack on Christians & govt officials, which left 2 notable legislators & hundreds of others dead in this same Jos few days ago, what did the JNI do? Did they condemn the act? NO! 2ndly, they said a more realistic & proactive mechanism should be put in place. Could they pls suggest one or two, instead of instigating disaffection and spurring sentiments & religious war, thereby adding salt to injury. 3rdly, can someone or better still, JNI pls tell me which religious group is actually being manhandled in Nigeria when Boko haram has released a statement vowing that Christians in Nigeria will know no peace unless they turn to Islam? Since the fulanis do not want peace & harmony, let them leave the Plateau nah! B4 nko? I have one advice 4 the JNI, just as u said in ur statement, u better leave your affairs to the Most High God. |
Assalaamu alaikum! Pls let us preach religious tolerance and love for fellow nigerians during this Ramadan season. The bloodshed is much, and we don't need all this. Say no to boko haram, say yes to true religion and one Nigeria. Alhamdulilahi |
Then I guess the security agents especially the Nigerian Police Force has risen up to the challenge. More kudos to the police. I also remember how they dealt with bank robbers in Portharcourt last week. At least, people would start reposing trust in their ability in this fight against terror |
Karen Igho was far better than Goldie in da House. Though Goldie tried her best anyway. I'm sure she would have gained more support from her fellow Nigerians if not 4 the way she was disappointing people. Didn't she have a boyfriend here in Naija? |
Assalaamu alaikum to the Muslim brothers and sisters on Nairaland. I'm not one anyway, but one-love! @Jarus, pls you guys should also endeavour to preach about religious tolerance and love 4 one another during your Iftaar discussions, and suggest ways to end this boko-haram trouble in Nigeria. Live & let live! One love! |
bayooooooo: Praise GEJ my foot. Nigerians are protecting their votes period. And what makes you think it was GEJ that was on the line during d telephone conversation at the collation centre? Nigerians must learn how to appreciate good things, even if it's little. I've seen the return of free and fair elections in the country during GEJ's administration. Last year's election was one-in-a-million likewise subsequent re-runs at state levels. With the help of Prof Attahiru Jega, I believe more free and fair elections a yet to come in 9ja I remember before last Saturday's Edo election, people were spreading rumor that PDP had plans of rigging it, but from the looks of things now, we all can see that here were no plans for any rigging, @ least, GEJ won't permit that. Nevertheless, I'm happy for Comrade Oshiomole. I wish u God's guidance and divine wisdom. |
@OP: pls go ahead and marry her. Age is just a number. Afterall u said she looks younger than her age. As long as she would respect u as d head of d house there's no problem @ all. Or would u prefer marrying a younger person who would give u problems? |
I say Welldone to the security agents that handled d situation, be it police or JTF. At least, people of that area would start trusting security agents |
My mistakes were loving a man more than he loved me, being possessive and jealous. I've learnt my lesson now. I now carry on as if I don't care (while I actually care). Lol |
Its a lie. Just a big rumour which spread like wild fire. People should pls stop rumour-mongering because parents whose children went to Bauchi orientation camp may just develop high BP and have heart attack all 4 nothing. |
Really? So how many are we in Nigeria today sef? Is it not high time we conducted another census? |
Nnaa na wa o! But I thought the Nigerian contitution while listing the fundamental human right included Right to freedom of association. Association cuts accross religious affiliation. Religion should not be by force or under duress. Therefore, live and let live!!! |
Hmmm, this is sad in deed. What do we do to restore peace in Jos? What could be the lasting solution 4 all this? May the souls of the dead victims RIP. |
These 3 words- vice, deputy and assistant-have similar meanings depending on the usage. -A Vice President refers to an executive officer ranking immediately below a President. -A deputy refers to someone authorized to exercise the powers of his superior in emergencies; or -a person appointed/elected to represent or act on behalf of others; or -an assistant with power to act when his superior is absent. -On the other hand, an assistant is a person who contributes to the fulfillment of a need or futherance of an effort or purpose or a cause. Now looking at these definitions, especially the last one, if you were to be the Vice President of Nigeria, how would you run your office especially as it concerns the current security, economic, religious, power/energy, etc challenges facing the nation? |
Promotion of tribalism and hauling insults at people from tribes other than one's own annoys me a lot. |
