Of course there are infrastructural and governance issues. Nobody is denying that. If these issues didn't exist then Nigeria would no more be a developing country.

That is my problem with your analysis. the bad have completed over shadowed the good so much so that citizens are shackeled from realising their true potential. when you live through a week without thinking you have to bribe your way into what is basically your right, or do not have to jump through hoops to get a job, or sleep with one eye open for fear of armed robbers, or fear of showing your wealth because you might be kidnapped, or cast your vote and be confident that you vote will count, then you can preach to me about good things in nigeria. Please dont list food, or tourism (which we have none to boast of).

If we are unable to hold ourselves accountable we at least should be able to hold ourselves accountable to international standards. That is the crux of our folly, Nigerians think what is happening in the country is normal. Who in God’s name is talking about traditions? We are talking about quality of life and you are bringing tradition into it. You are confused. And yes, showing what is wrong about the country under normal circumstances should spur our leaders to do more. But alas normal is not a word found in Nigeria. Abnornal? Bodies litter the streets of U.S everyday but do the U.S citizens post it on CNN as what they want people to know about them? You are black living in the U.S so must have experienced a degree of racism that 99.9% of Nigerians at home will never experience but the U.S will never put pictures of racism as what the want one to see when you come to their country. They always paint a very good picture of the U.S. It is only when you are there that you know what's really happening.

I'm not saying fellow Nigerians should not show pix of Nigeria. I'm only saying they should show good photos of Nigeria. As the world outside knows very little about the good side of us. If you live outside Africa, you will understand why am asking Nigerians at home to do this.

Secondly, yes we have 85% bad and 15 percent good. This is as a result of what we went through before independence and what we are going through now after independence.

My problem is where those pictures come from. most likely the pictures will come from abuja or some parts of lagos. where only the rich have access to.

Like it or not the truth must be told. why should i represent positively when things are negative. if we all do that then we are affirming what our senators are doing, what armed robbers are doing, what are education system is, what our job opportunities are etc. when we twist the truth it is like saying there are no problems and things should be business as usual. If my child is doing badly in school i would not want his teacher to color his achievements but to tell me as it is so that i can put appropriate measures to correct the situation. doing otherwise is same as cheating me and my child of his future potential. that is what those that try to color the truth are doing; cheating us of our future.
