commodore007: Africa needs to up its game. The mass migration is alarming. The desperation at which an average African man wants to leave his shores for better opportunities is quite high. There needs a system that works in Africa, take for instance Nigeria the unemployment rate stands at 18% if am right .That is relatively high .African leaders needs to seat down first and put things in proper perspective we have the resources, we have the men to utilize these resources but leadership have been a problem of the black race#so sad we made the headline for the wrong reason# Leadership hasn't bin d problem of d back race; the black race is fukked |
Politics › Re: INEC Server Shows Buhari Lost 2019 Election - Atiku, PDP Claim by BigBashiru: 1:37pm On Mar 20, 2019 |
Justpd: Nigerians will keep suffering because they're the architect of their own problems. We all know INEC chairman is a corrupt thief, we all know he won't conduct free and fair elections. We all know the presidential election was massively rigged.
What baffles me the most is why some Nigerians are against the idea of atiku and pdp taking INEC to court. If we keep letting impunity slide, how do we get better as a nation? How do we forestall the recurrence?
If Peter Obi didn't fight for his stolen mandate in anambra state, the state would have been a shit hole right now, and corrupt individuals will always have their field day in the state They don't have sense (but they think they do). That's why Nigerians are ruled in their own land by foreigners. |

Gucciboss: There is a bit of sense in what you said. Dressing formal to work helps one to stay in line with his/her duty requirements. It also scare scallywags away from you. Formal dressing has away of shaping your thinking pattern. You must not put on suit but at least corporate shirts, trousers and shoes will serve.
Many persons don't realize how important little things are until they see the outcomes.
The problem is that Nigerians don't see Governance as a business that requires alot of seriousness. Exactly. It reminds you that you are at work. |

Xisnin: Would you mind listing your achievements since you started putting on suits? It is not your fault, it is hard fighting low self-esteem. That's the issue. Public service is not a platform for showcasing culture but for serious hardwork. Traditional clothes encourage a laid back attitude that lowers productivity. No work place allows traditional clothes and government work should not allow it for the singular reason that it blurs the line between serious work and relaxed politicking/cultural showcasing (That's not what public service is about). You dress according to the demands of your profession. Doctors dress a certain way; presidents out to dress a certain way. It's easier to wear trad than to iron long sleeve shirts week in week out. Maybe that's why they just choose the easier path and opt for trad?? |

knowledgeable: Starting with any president in power.
This is transformational, because then, we join the rest of the world. Even in most Islamic countries like Egypt/Morrocco, people dress formal. When it comes to traditional attires, most countries of the world have far more fashionable attires than the rags we showcase today as culture, but they have transformed themselves into modern dress code and joined the rest of humanity. I am always at shame when ever I see that ugly Yoruba attires, ugly hats, or hausa-fulani ugly out of shape hats/ shapeless danshikes, and of course that Igbo ugly father Christmas hats.
This country really need to transform by introduction of new legislature on Dress Code. The Chinese, Arabs, Europeans, Japanese etc had more classic/elegant traditional attires than we Nigerians, but since have joined the rest of the world when it comes to code of Dressing That's the issue. Public service is not a platform for showcasing culture but for serious hardwork. Traditional clothes encourage a laid back attitude that lowers productivity. No work place allows traditional clothes and government work should not allow it for the singular reason that it blurs the line between serious work and relaxed politicking. |

probably why all of the above countries are more serious than us I can tell you those clothes can be quite laziness inducing. |

I think you dont know what a normal highway looks like, some countries are boasting of 16 lanes, Nigeria can only manage 6 lanes at most on their major highways, I really cant believe you said this,I qgree the cars are not so good but to say Nigeria roads are good ,why not say they are the best on the world Abuja that has the best roads in the country with 4 lanes etc has the 2nd highest number of accidents in the country. Good roads isn't the issue, the issue is savage driving. |

30% neutral coincidence, 20% harsh weather conditions, 40% careless attitude (bad maintenance, overpacking, incorrect packing of loads), 10% plain bad luck! 90% recklessness including overspeeding, poor car maintenance which is a form of recklessness and 10% bad luck. |

dwilliams: na wa o, de just curse Nigeria with bad news, there is no day you wont see bad news gracing the front page of nairaland and the funniest thing is that most of these deaths are avoidable, from the collapsed building that was marked for demolition to the one at Ibadan, to the death traps on our roads or perhaps the vehicles that have failed safety standard or even a military man shooting unarmed civilians. Death,Accidents, Ritual killings,Arm robbery,Rape etc everywhere and everyday
When will good news start coming from that part of the world. There are no death traps on Nigerian roads; it's the Nigerian drivers that are death traps unto themselves with reckless driving. The majority of Nigerian drivers are reckless this includes "managing" bad cars. |
