@ Funkybaby British National Act 1981 (as amended), sorry I don't know how to put the link up for this. Maybe if I put in so much attention and effort into my studies as I put into Nairaland, I would stop repeating school. @ Akolawole see wetin you don cause, me I no dey siddon fence again o, na ya side i dey kampe. |
Siena:Na thank you we go chop ![]() |
VOR:Yoruba nairaland would not allow me to have talented_crackhead, my oruko abileso or is it ibileso? VOR:Ouch, I would let that pass though Sir. [s]Emi ke, no be me, me I have way too much respect to tell my elders not to throw stone if they live in glass houses too.[/s] ![]() |
VOR:The sole purpose of the BNA Act of 1981, which was enacted on the 1st of Jan 1983, was to give mothers whom were either British or settled the same equal right that was only previously accorded to the dad only. Before the Act was passed, only married fathers could confer automatic citizenship on their off-spring. The only difference was that after this date, whilst the British/Settled dad had to be legitimately married, the British/Settled mother did not have to be, until July 2006 when the law changed again. So in effect, Maggie was born when her papa (seun) was not yet married to the her mum (funky), so she was an omo-ale (illegitimate child), hence did not qualify for citizenship status yet, until her parents got married. I am going to deduct further marks for challenging my authority for calling me, your teacher olódo ![]() |
My local hospitals Queens in Romford would not even accept you in an emergency situation without first seeing proof of ID, just because they have to appease their residents to stop voting for BNP, who have a stronghold in the area. |
They take it when you apply for a visa or when you go to request for/renew a visa. Never thought I'd say this, but the poster above is/was right. ![]() |
Thank you o jare my brother. How many people can stand the sound of a crying baby, talkless of someone screaming like a wild banshee. Isn't this the same reason why babies are banned from flying first-class and business-class? |
Siena:I'd rather https://emoticons4u.com/crazy/338.gif. I don't do uptight, no sense of humour . . . EloSela:tell her to https://emoticons4u.com/crazy/363.gif ( )Siena:Mr Motivator, Mr Mediator, Mr Moderator, how many times did I call you? |
https://emoticons4u.com/crazy/139.gif happy birthday to ya, happy birthday to ya, happy birthday. We no go wash am? |
2Legit:You are very correct in your assertion but seriously don't you think this is nit-picking gone too far. Even an employee on a minimum wage of £5.25 an hour should not be charged with the indignation of providing proof of £473 talk less of a doctor or an IT consultant. Is this issue not in the same vein of police stopping black people in driving "supposedly" flashy car and asking them to prove what job they do in order to be able to afford such cars? ![]() |
@ big_bumper, Are you ok this afternoon? Did I give you ''chocolate'' to take yesterday night? @ Mr Pataki and Jackal Have you seen your report card above? Mr Akolawole is all out for WW3 o, so you better stand well well. |
As for the rest of you, concerning your end-of-term progress report, I am going to assume (knowing how slick Mr Akolawole) is that this child was born between 1st January 1983 and 1st July 2006. Methuselah, don't let your head start to swell o, it's just because I don't know how to spell sly that made me say you are slick o . If your name does not appear on the list, then you have to drop something (i.e. pátá or kúdí) to get your critical status rectified. So in alphabethical order;@ Akoslywole I choose to stand on the fence regarding this one for now, but would not hesitate to wade in to win it for team left-wingers. Are you sticking to the post Jan 1983 pre Jul 2006 date? |
END-OF-TERM REPORT FOR VOR As for you, bookish I Too Know- Methuselah's assertion, not mine. VOR:INCORRECT, same reason as Jackal, plus deduction of 10% for not spelling Maggie correctly, indicates lack of attention to detail. Rumours of baby going round so probably keyboard was sticky due to baby's drool or wee. VOR:HALF-CORRECT. Ambiguous question so everyone gets full marks whether they see any contradictions or not, but the reason you got half of the marks is because your reasoning was yet again wrong. Because I love the smell of babies, I dash you an extra 10 points so your OVERALL MARKS = 32.5%, LOWER B GRADE, ENOUGH TO PASS TO THE NEXT LEVEL FINALLY. Don't even attempt to quote the law to get me to remark your work because I'm sorry I can't give you more marks than the teachers pet. |
UPDATED END-OF-TERM REPORT FOR MR PATAKI
Whats the contradiction you see here? So you know stuffs too about UK immigration. @ VOR and Jackal, Are you saying by the right of the Father being a british citizen she automatically becomes a British citizen? Why then did she and her mother have to apply for a settlement visa at first?
PHEW, THANK GOD FOR THE LOGICAL SENSE OF REASONING, I HAD ALREADY MARKED YOU DOWN AS AN OLÓDO AND A WASTE OF GOOD SPACE AND WAS ALREADY THINKING OF RELEGATING YOU TO JÉLÉ-ÓSIMI (RECEPTION CLASS).SO ON THAT NOTE, I WOULD REGRADE YOUR PAPER AND GIVE YOU 34% FOR EFFORT, WHICH EQUATES TO B GRADE AT A LEVEL |
Now for the next name on the register. END-OF-TERM REPORT FOR MR PATAKI
1. When she has stayed in the UK for a minimum period of five years under the Limited Leave to Remain
INCORRECT. What is your excuse? Maggie is the pikin. You really need to stay away from those weeds.
2. Answered by big_bumper
INCORRECT, I would not tolerate cheating in my classroom. I deduct 10% from your overall marks. OVERALL MARK 9% for spelling my name right and being my favourite student. |
END-OF-TERM REPORT FOR JACKAL
1) Maggie became a British Citizen the day she was born at Ilford NHS
INCORRECT. because her dad was not married to her mother at the time of birth, based on assumption of maggie's date of birth nestling between post 1st Jan 1983 and post 1st Jan 2006.
By the virtue of the father being a Brit citizen, the daughter becomes one as soon she got her umblica cord severed.
INCORRECT. Again, answers as above. OVERALL MARK; 10% FOR SPELLING YOUR NAME CORRECTLY. BRITISH A' LEVEL GRADE - C. COULD DO BETTER, POTENTIAL DARKHORSE OF THE CLASSROOM. |
END-OF-TERM REPORT FOR BIG_BUMPER
Maggie is the child right? I thought peopl born in the UK after Jan 1. 1983, only had to have one parent that was born in the UK to have automatic British Citizenship,
INCORRECT
BUT if neither parent is a British Citizen nor have settled status, they had to wait ten years.
HALF-CORRECT.Could also receive outright citizenship by virtue of parents getting settled status.
I think the law changed slightly since then, not sure though.
CORRECT OVERALL MARKS 49.99%, NOT BAD, IF THIS WAS UK A' LEVELS GRADING, I WOULD BE AWARDED AN A-, NOT BAD AT ALL. I DESERVE A PAT ON THE BACK. |
Right so the law has not been changed then. Please, could someone enlighten me on the recent law that was enacted on the 1st of July 2006 regarding fathers confering rights to their offsprings? |
I am trying to retrieve my phone number from my phone, where are d numbers usually stored nokia phones? |
@ Pumper, Just wanted to be sure. I got your email addy then. The one with the postmaster.co.uk Are you still using it?
Yes, I used to be on postmaster, till it got closed because I refused to pay for their gold service.Okay, okay, okay, officer patrick I confess I did it, but it was a mistake ![]() |
Akolawole:Yes o the case is so straightforward myself and Mr Pataki gave you two different answers to question 1 & 3 ![]() |
Pumper, I did a check on you now, are you Aade by name? Are you going to be around? ![]() This conundrum by Akolawole is really something oh. My head is not thinking straight at the moment.
Which kain check? What have I done now? Yeah, its Princess Ade**** Omoba Ade********, can't stand my first name though, it's a man's name. |
Now addressing the contradiction issue, assuming Sisifunke only had a six months visitor's visa, giving birth on the NHS would not be free, but once maggie is born, only maggie becomes entitled to free healthcare Can you rephrase this contradicting contradiction please? |
1. In response to question 2, the law as is stands is that one has to have at least six months visa remaining on one's travel document in order to get treated on the NHS, so unless sisifunke applied for a visa longer than a six months or unless she gave birth the same day she landed in the Uk, she is classed as a "health tourist" and would normally have to pay. |
. . . Nice meeting you online this evening.
you too, Mr Patrick Tell Mr Methuselah (oops Akolowole) to come and spill the beans now, and let him know that we've got his back, in case he has to start sleeping in his car. We can always contribute towards his petrol cost so that he can keep his car running through the night, after all, what are friends for. ![]() |
