. . . I am 100% sure the date of receipt at VAC have no RELEVANCE whatsover in the appeal process.

If its that important, UK law could have permit them(VAC) to personally embossed the receipt date on the refusal notice.

    (2) A notice of appeal by a person who is outside the United Kingdom must be given -



(a) if the person -


(i) was in the United Kingdom when the decision against which he is appealing was made; and

(ii) may not appeal while he is the United Kingdom by reason of a provision of the 2002 Act,


not later than 28 days after his departure from the United Kingdom; or

If I may wade in here because this is something that equally happened to me,the refusal notice stants counting from the day that it is received,not by the VFS in this case but by the applicant or would be appellant,

Many thanks for setting me in the clear here. I should have stated emphatically that the refusal notice starts counting when the applicant/appellant picks up his application pack from the VFS.

I want to agree with Pahtakee on this, the date start counting from the day you collect your application from the VFS.Cuase immediately it will be entered in the system which will mak eit to become a refernce point for who ever is acessing it. . .
In summary sha, it starts counting from the day you collect your application package!

starts from the date on the appeal notice.

While i wish you best of lucks, i'd wish to bring to your notice that your appeal might not be granted especially when the commission understands that the visa you sought is for a particular purpose and duration, and that the purpose of your visit is most likely to be invalid at the time of the final decision.
If i were you, i'd withdraw my appeal and re apply afresh: in fact, this move will make the eco understand how serious your application is. Goodluck!
