presido1:Thank God I sabi my place as a second-class citizen twice-removed. Grrrrrrrrr those whitey and their fake smile does my head in big-time. |
PrincessMo:Heaven help us if you consider travelling in a tube packed like sardines and waiting hours for buses to turn up good transportation. At least in America where bus services stops around the evening, they always come on time and their Metro system ain't half bad too. Still though, it's London all the way. ![]() |

lucabrasi:I feel you my brother. If only they stopped at that, can you imagine that Nigerians and Somalians in Uk have their own ethnicity and ethnic code now? If in doubt try NHS. Ghanaian African ~ Ethnicity Black African Angolan African ~ Ethnicity Black African Cameroonian ~ Ethnicity Black African . . . . . . . Nigerian ~ Ethnicity Nigerian . . . you get my drift? I can only wonder why? |
tRoOE:No be joke o, na now i know say life is very unfair, me I dey travel go Nigeria a year, eat everything that comes my way, turn black like charcoal, yet do not lose anything, but my sister only travelled once, fell sick and lost so much weight, even her skin started to peel and she turned to oyibo overnight. |
lucabrasi:I live directly opposite tastee restaurant , but you too for sabi say ko dabi . Infact the prorietor once said "aunty you no dey cook for house?", na im i come vex say "are you sending me your customer away". I also petitioned him and reminded him of my human right to diet food, so he advised me to be buying iyan and eforiro, because efo na vegetable. ![]() lucabrasi:Can you start this straightaway please? Na good job amaka dey do for the food section but na picture i go chop? ![]() |
tRoOE:lucky bugger, even if I purposely set out to eat food prepared from buka inside gutter sef all in a bid to get an upset stomach in order to lose weight, I always fail miserably . Desperate times call for desperate measures. And by the way, why are you people talking about food here, hmmn nigerian food, niger food, glorious glorious niger food, men I am hungry . . . |
me sef i tire, its always one problem after another. If its not tribalism, its one black country thinking they are superior to other blacks, I seriously hope for that change to happen. |
@ poster For security reasons, why don't you take pictures of the wedding gown fron different angles, afterall tailors copy styles from pictures in magazines such as Ovation, and those fashion posters that they buy. And then you can also save yourself the bother of dry-cleaning bills. |
Nah seriously, it's just that we cry a lot about racism but you need to see tribalism that occurs on this forum, and in Nigeria in general. We are our own's worst enemy. It's so funny sometimes when people ask what tribe you are from before they reply to your post or before they allow you to respond to their posts peacefully. As if we as a nation, don't have enough problems as it is. |
Hmmn, the ómóto's égborhácoven |
laudate:Please cut them some slacks and give them the benefit of the doubt. It's water off a duck's back to all of us do-gooders and dragon-slayers, if proven otherwise. Is Austria not in the same Europe as Netherlands whereby a woman thought her daughter had gone AWOL for over 20 years only to discover that her husband had imprisoned her in the basement of their house? |
@ d-loaded now I geddit o jare, na the lethal combination of https://emoticons4u.com/crazy/1412.gif and those itsekiri esirághwá bushpigs, dey make my liver shake o. |
algood:
were you blind to her original post?
pardon, are you guys (i mean ladies o, before you come and bite off my head) both talking in code to each other? |
Dalby: Dalby:na wah o, you are still wondering, why don't you take the advice of the gentleman below https://emoticons4u.com/crazy/069.gifDalby: |
pahtahkee:Is that so? And there was me thinking I was posting in the jokes board. ![]() |
brownbonno:Oya you too zip it ![]() There is no bad belle in the poster at all. The poor lady was being burned at the stake for having the audacity to seek greener pasture for her and her family, hence her expressing her distaste for her fellow Nigerians, questioning the decision to appoint Rotimi Adebari as a Mayor in Ireland, someone whom they deemed of such lowly statue of an asylum seeker/illegal immigrant. |
algood:yourself+your husband+your children=three people indeed. Na true you talk, https://emoticons4u.com/happy/1016.gif, the situation is really critical It's all good though, algood. algood:Good words. algood:Easy tiger, a lot of us on this forum are barely in our teens o. ![]() |
Siena:WORD. https://emoticons4u.com/happy/540.gif This accolade extends to Blacklion too for his input overleaf. @ poster Don't be put off by people giving you advices you don't want to hear, there is always at least two sides to every situation in life, its what makes the world tick. ~ My two-cents for you would be to plead with your husband to give you at least two extra months, work your arse off (I would advice that you diligently seek a full-time job with tons of overtime). ~ Put a substantial amount of money on the side for rainy days so that if you don't get a job back home straightaway, your children would not go hungry (Keep this money a secret from him, you have sacrificed enough to stoke his ego and pride, by dropping everything to return to him at such short notice. ~ As a test, send the kids home about two/three weeks before you join them, if your hubby requests for money for their upkeep, then you know that you are going to be in for a very rough ride back home, once the money you bring runs out. ~ Return home to your rightful place beside your hubby. ~ And finally, explore means of leaving the country without it having a detrimental effect on your ability to retain your potential loooooong residency status. |
lucabrasi:Phew, we finally agree on something, you this modakeke guy . |
lol some of you should know why people are whining about this thread. pahtahkee: pahtahkee: pahtahkee: pahtahkee:Contact galore here and there. Shuo, with all these your contacts too, you sure say you too be under "g" visa agent with third class certificates . I see, little wonder you and vivikoko/vicjustice no dey get along. |
brownbonno:motion seconded. Just take is easy though to prevent the possible prospect of them selotaping your mouth and deporting you too before realising their errors yet again. ![]() Good luck. |
lucabrasi:I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. |
Vicjustice:ouch, oga sir softly softly now https://emoticons4u.com/crazy/069.gif ![]() brownbonno:The boss with money, to burn is legally within his right to a lawyer to make such enquiries (request for statement of reasons/ reconsideration). As the immigration law currently stands, if they ask you to provide X,Y,Z,A,B,C and you satisfy their requirement, and dot all your i's and cross all the t's, they have to issue the visa, if the ECO's trip up, you have the back-up of having the right to appeal their decision. |
Why not find time to arrange a date/weekend break for the two of you, a kind of make or break holiday where you would be able to have a heart to heart with each other. And then from there you can make up your mind about whether you are really ready to walk from the union or stay to make things work. |
mamaput:. . . and they had the audacity to accuse him of being rude to them afterwards. Jobless nit-pickers claiming he would not have used the term half-caste, if he was genuine. . . People who have nothing positive to contribute to this thread should be barred, as this is not good for the reputation of this site. Thousands of people go missing in the UK daily, so I don't see what the big deal is, for them to accuse the poor boy of being a fraud. Once the reunion is completed hopefully, news of this good news can filter into the mainstream news about a guy who found his dad with help from nairaland. Seun every publicity is good publicity, so I implore your senses (common and business) to heavily moderate this thread. |
Siena:Errrr, just for the record, can you possibly state what state you reside in, in the UK please? https://emoticons4u.com/happy/1016.gif |
@ Patrick watch yourself o, my name no be bumper, why are you decimating my name as such, especially such a large part thereof ![]() @ Paribus Wait on VOR, he has an inbuilt guarantee to deliver without fail. FOI Act is applicable to information about an organisation or its activities. i.e. poke-nosing Data Protection Act is applicable to information about you held by an organisation. |
The country is sick and twisted. People want to work, yet they make it more profitable for people to stay on benefits. They waste so much money on deporting people or bribing people to go home. It's so sad the way people get deported, they get picked up in shopping malls, at work, at home, whilst driving or anywhere, they don't get a chance to take anything at all, all what they have worked for goes down the drain, they lose their savings, their properties, everything they have worked for . . . Life sucks |
Rlst84sale:I feel you my sister, if you hear someone wailing and yelling, it's human nature to want to know if things are okay. If I were to find myself in such similar situation, I would tell them I want to get off the plane, knowing the delay in off-loading me and my luggage would cost them thousands of pounds. Perhaps if more people make a stance (indirect silent protest) like this, they would reconsider other humane means of dealing with overstayers. |
