That is the problem with UBA. Though the bank always have good numbers to back it up, but when it comes to capital appreciation, it could be frustrating for the holders. FCMB and other small bank would have returned 150% appreciation before UBA will be struggling to give you 75%.

Thanks, I once visited the firm last month before then I made I sent a mail and I was called by someone from the firm asking me if I have filled a form for the conversion? I was surprised but when I got to their office, I was asked to forward the mail I sent to the registrars to them and which I did. The mail was forwarded to the registrar through them alongside with my transfer form. But till date I am yet to hear from them. I sent another mail last week to united securities but they told me they want to confirm my transfer form.
Thanks
Were the holdings in your name in CSCS? If yes, then the transfer malerky is utter BS.

Oga mi sir. I am shocked to hear this from you oo especially knowing that you earn in forex and your expenses are in pounds. I hope you are doing the true yield (in GBP) on your investment sha. If someone whose expenses is in Naira, i might decided not to reply but coming from a person in diaspora, we need to keep things in the right perspective.
To an extent you are right.

In 2007, I exchanged £1=N250 ish. Today £1=£440, this implies ~44% exchange loss.

I have a few shares bought in 2007 that have done more than 4 baggers.

I am currently holding Nascon I bought May and Aug 09 for an average of N3.50. No amount of xchange loss can wipe away all the baggers (for now anyway)
I am currently holding truck loads of NEM at an average of 56k.
etc

There are also a few not-so-good moves (aka school fees) Big treat, Oceanic, Multiverse, Chams, Dunlop and a few other insurance stocks

Dividend-paying long termers still pays (for me anyway)

On the part in bold, u may not be far from the truth !!

I did mention in my analysis of the coys 2018 YE financial print that over 41% of key loans could not be accounted for in that result.
The bank(FBNH) was the only 1st tier entity to get a forbearance from the CBN on the implementation of IFRS 9 guideline, yet its qualifying capital benchmarked against its total loan portfolio(CAR) has been CONTRACTING. ...YE 2018, Q1, 2019 and H1, 2019 all witnessed series of contractions.

Fresh findings;

Looking @ their H1, 2019 report last night, I noticed that the slight decline in NPL(to circa 14.5%) was mainly because the loan to Atlantic Energy(a key exposure) has been written off(probably effective from prior yr). ...that write off alone was over 126B. ...which was why there was a reduction in gross loan.
However, net loan grew by near 44B(QoQ), perhaps from the pressure of trying to meet up with the CBN requirement on LDR. ...and since prior net loan position hasn't delivered any noticeable return, pressure from LDR may likely persist in the short to mid term.

2 things are @ play here;

1) Prior provisioning(huge as it seems) hasn't come off with any impactful recoveries. As a result, higher loan portfolio have majorly brought about higher risk assets.

2) The bank has not managed to tweak their investment drive to help aid the shortfall of their unhealthy loan portfolio.

This 2 can only happen because management have either been playing pranks with the banks capital or are grossly INEFFICIENT !!

FBNH should be 'approached' with CAUTION !! ...AsY and AsQ has underperformed and @ the moment, there is no clear direction to growth trajectory.

Enough said.

It was not only FBN that had that run in price at that period of time.
Some stocks with worse fundamental even did better in term of price appreciation.

For now , FBN is still lagging behind.
Among the first tier banks, they have the worse fundamental. And why would anyone buy now when we have better options if not because of the name and sentiment. This however does not mean FBN cannot return a higher percentage in term of capital appreciation.

Bottom line, we must all be able to define what we are to buy...we could be fundamentally, technically, sentimentally, spiritually driven...

Mine did not reflect until I called Morgan Capital. They did the reflection within 30mins of my call.
Maybe the manner in which i was paid!

initially they wouldn't pay the cash consideration unless i fill out the form. I refused to fill out the form (and never did).

my argument - the shares were properly mandated and deposited with CSCS since 2007. Why was I required to to repeat the whole process? Never mind that i am offshore, so physical representation is a non-starter! So I wrote directly to the registrar and presented same argument. He didn't reply, however, about 1 week later I received a few bank deposit alerts for all my share accounts (3 brokers hahaha).

I have always thought that the share deposit would be automatic at some point.

Maybe it is time to open my email again grin grin worse case scenario, i pick up the phone and jand up!

It(the swap for diamond by the equivalent proportion of access) was done almost immediately DIAMOND was delisted from the exchange.
In principle, the delisting pulled off every OS of DIAMOND from all investor holders CHN(the warehouse) and replaced them with ACCESS @ a 7 for 2 exchange ratio.

So unless, there is a problem with ur A/C or broker, u ought to have been credited with ur equivalent vol of ACCESS long before now.

I'll advise u try comparing the vols of ACCESS u had in ur entire portfolio JUST BEFORE and AFTER the delisting of DIAMOND. ...and see if there was an increment by a 2/7 proportion to the total vol of DIAMOND u held post merger(assuming u had some access prior to then)
Sometimes u may never really take notice of the change in vol.

Alternatively, u can check with ur CSCS statement of A/C just before and after the delisting for proper verification.

Hope this helps.
OGG, I asked because it hasn't reflected on my CSCS though I was paid the cash consideration on 19/07
