Sure you can keep this stock short term but anything more than that is more than risky.

wasnt it in the report for YE 31/03/03 that they reported exceptional items from the sale of some their assets?

Livestock feeds plc has released its full year result to the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. The company whose share price opened January this year at N3.63 and got to N9.96 at the end of trading on March 5, 2008, fell by 72 kobo yesterday to close at N9.24 at the end of trading on the floor. This is obviously as a result of the poor result just released to the public. It traded a total volume of 24,571,540 in 548 deals.

According to the results turnover for the period increased slightly by 4 percent from N560 million recorded in 2006 to N581.7 million in 2007. Profit before tax declined significantly by 900 percent from N728 million in 2006 to N8.840 million in 2007. After tax profit was no good as it also decreased by 998 percent from N748 million recorded in 2006 to N8.324 million in 2007.

This is no fresh news, it has been in the public domain for a while, check out wanaj0 spreadsheet. This result is for YE 31/03/07. Livestock feeds is making a turnaround, Q2 PAT is about N23m. Whilst this is not fanatastic, I think it is +ve signs, they might make N50m for YE 31/03/08. Compared with 8.23 for YE '07, this shows a significant turnaround.

My opinion though, usual caveats

I am inclined to believe that it is from yesterday's transaction, the text came in exactly 1243hrs UK.

Exit? you must be having a laugh. I would hang on to every unit of OandO with my dear life. Do you know what could happen to the stock price once their venture into upstream starts to pay. Well, if you want to know, then sell to me and I'll tell you the story once it sarts to unfold.

It is a mistake. Goldlink was listed @ 1.80 but closed yesterday @ 1.89. So it must have gained close to 5% today to close at 1.98.

Well, I learnt that Investment and Allied Assurance is doing a PP @ 2.10 per N2.00 share. that emans when it is going to be listed, you will get four times the units you applied for. Was able to get some @ 2.10. Now I am thinking of getting more but was told that it is now N2.60. I expect listing in couple of weeks. Anyone know anything about this company? Anyone interested?

You don't have to pay tax twiceif you can proof you had already paid interest on the initial investment, although you might pay tax on the profit if you are domiciled in the UK (confirm from a tax  expert).

The receipt from the counter is not a proof of the source of funds. it will either be your payslip, rent income slip,receipts from invoices you,dividends slip, loans etc

bros what r u on about, if ojo stop u an d u produce the receipt, they can always run a check on your incoming funds from the a/c and verify if any is questionable. I do it all the time. In 2006 I gave a friend 10k to take home 4 me, he was stopped at LHR and the guy produced the till receipt, the customs guys just query am small pass am.

not that i am aware of. If you earned the money legitly, u can withdraw and do whatever u want with it. I do anyway, at least not the small amount i deal with anyway. when u withdraw money across the counter they'll always issue u with a till receipt. I thinks its enough proof of the source
