If you don't need Police at least you will need criminals, so no one should complain, security is for everyone, so secure yourselves, why the shout ,it is only the witches that will kill & cry at the same time. If Police is not on the road, then be on the road with your 2 left legs. State Police? go & sleep. |

Nigeriabiafra80:IPOB has been proscribed, they are criminals, they should be treated as such, the Police can never be afraid of criminals,they have been at peace with the citizens ever since but not with the criminals and any citizen who become a protester & later prefer to become a looter,vandal,killer etc, as hoodlum,thugs, miscreant will be regarded as criminal & when caught his rights seized, that is why despite your hate & attack on the Police, they are still performing their duties, so where is the fear you talked about. Now in Calabar they are warning your brothers not to involve or buy any looted items from thieves, the government is recovering looted items, google it, you know what that means, that is confirmation of your trade, so better change from your brutal trade, brutality comes in different form |

We should allow them do their work,thank God you did not allege bribery,shooting or brutality of any form, must they tell anyone why they are there? Don't you think we are begining to ask for too much? very soon the government will not be taking us serious, because we complain too much, some of us are not doing well at our work place or been able to take care of your home but instead of being concerned with your problem you prefer to border about how others do their work, you better go back to your looting, arson & vandalisation of people's stores & warehouses carrier,if the government listen & end sars for you, you think they will be ending everything for you because you manage to go small school & you can write nonsense, pouring out your frustration. But we prefer soldier to police,we feel they are more professional than the police,we should not complain, because you praise them you think they are fools. We are too biased,majority of the comments here does not seem to see any wrong on the part of the youth/hoodlums who had the gut to stone the soldiers who came for peace & went ahead to ambush them,collected their rifles, what do they expect, you expect soldiers to part them on the back? My brother professionalism stops if you cannot caution yourself against the security & their is no any other way they can remedy the situation, they will have to speak the language you understand better, they ask for their death. 1 Like |

Racoon:It was just #2,000 increase, not just the Police but other paramilitary, you must be wicked & this same Police are attached to you, don't mislead the public, if you cannot pay the Police why don't you adjust their pay to that of the Navy or other military at least. With the changes made people are still not satisfied, criminals will never be satisfied. The problem of Police in Nigeria is lack of welfare, logistics, the least payed in Africa not to talk of the whole world,no proper insurance coverage in case of injury or death,pay them well and see changes, at least from#250,000 above monthly. You don't need a medical doctor or a psychologist to examine them when you do all I mentioned, our politicians know the solution, they don't want to make our Police standard and proud, but they travel & see police abroad, that is why they come out the best in joint operations abroad, tasting a little of the comfort, where all they needed to work is provided. The same problem with our health institution, politicians leaves the hospitals to their fate while they go abroad. |

What we have are elders in the community, referring to them as Monarchs or Kings is wrong,Kings don't beg, Kings can even take their life for a course in their land,Kings don't accept defeat, they see it as failure, nobody question a real King except he that can dethrone him and a King prefers to die than to beg,to show his bravery since his forefathers were not weaklings in their time. Though it was possible because largely they don't depend on government finance for running of the palace,but these greedy elders see everything as business they must gain from,so no respect at all,that is why they can call somebody their father,just because their hands are soiled and they may face Ganduje's style of administration, which a King should not be afraid of, that is why even if the former CBN Governor of Kano Emirate is said to have done anything wrong to the political class,at least he showed the kingship in him,he did not beg and he accepted the dethronement in good faith. |
