Phones › Re: Man Who Bought 'Refurbished' Phone From Jumia Cries Out by bigtt76(f): 5:17pm On Apr 06, 2019
Na dem way.... Never buy any phone on Jumia that is not Infinix or Tecno and when doing so, buy only phones that were just released into the market not ones already on the market.

As the companies announce release of the new phones so, begin order. If you wait after 2-3 months, this is what you get. #NeverAgain

patogist:
A Fish farmer and undergraduate of University of Benin has taken to social media to cry out after purchasing an Iphone 6 from Jumia store. He claimed he bought the phone for 75 0000 naira but unknown to him it was a Refurbished Iphone 6 that was sent to him.
the Undergraduate of UniBen wrote,

“My name is Joshua Ekanem, the phone i bought from Jumia on Jan 11 2019 after using for two months with some issues, like the phone getting hot”

“I know so many people will laugh about this, but i am so depressed because i have saved for this phone after working hard”.

“Why i came online is because I’ve been tackling this issue with jumia for three weeks and have not been getting a good response . I’m a fish farmer and also a student of University of Benin”.

“If Jumia has price tagged it 100k I could have saved for it. For me to recently find out that no new Iphone 6 in the market” .

Handle her like you would your daughter. Its a life training you're undergoing now don't fail.

lacapine:
I have a 17 years old maid who would be 18 in June. She came when she was 12 and she is like family now. She is in SS1. My problem is her issues with boys. Always keeping boyfriends of which I discourage her big time. Had to ask her why she keeps them, she said because her classmates/ friends have boyfriends.

I have screamed and threatened but she will still keep. What am I doing wrong? Should I allow her just keep them? I teach her sex education though but she says she isn't sexually active. Today, I saw the picture she and the guy posted on facebook holding each other. I lost it today. I flogged and punished her. I'm I being too hard? How do I help her? We wanted to help her till university days but with these, we are scared and reconsidering sending her back after ss3.

How best do I handle this situation.

The world's richest man, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, and his wife MacKenzie have agreed a record-breaking divorce settlement of at least $35bn (£27bn).
Ms Bezos keeps a 4% stake in the online retail giant, worth $35.6bn on its own.

Amazon was founded by Jeff Bezos in Seattle in 1994, a year after the couple married, and Ms Bezos was one of its first employees.

Both parties tweeted positive comments about the other in the wake of the announced settlement.
The two did not provide any further financial details about the settlement.

The Amazon shares alone will make Ms Bezos the world's third-richest woman while Jeff will remain the world's richest person, according to Forbes.
Jeff Bezos, 55, and MacKenzie, 48, a novelist, married in 1993 and have four children.

Ms Bezos' tweet is her first and only one since joining the microblogging website this month. In it she stated that she was "grateful to have finished the process of dissolving my marriage to Jeff with support from each other".

*MEMO TO MRS ABIKE DABIRI-EREWA.*

Dear Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa,

Mine is not a very long letter. Just to commend you for the "passion" that you bring to your work.

I believe like, you that when we name and shame the bad eggs tarnishing the image of our dear Nigeria, abroad, it will deter others from a life of crime, ABROAD.

It is in this light that I appreciate your publishing the names of the 5 robbers in UAE. You gave their names as Chimmuanya Emmanuel Ozo, Benjamin Nwachukwu Ajah, Kingsley Ikenna Ngoka, Tochukwu Leonard Alusi and Chile Micah Ndumodu (Ndunagu?)
Like you rightly pointed out "these five boys are a disgrace to this country and an embarrassment ".

Unfortunately Mrs Dabiri, you simply referred to the woman executed for drugs as "A Nigerian woman ". I believe you were in a hurry to address this very pressing National issue, that you coulndt wait to get her name.

You also in the same vein failed to inform Nigerians of the names of the other Nigerians already executed for drugs and does on death row for the same crime- drugs.

While you and your team are busing unravelling the name of the "Nigerian woman executed for drugs", permit me to give the names of those already executed and those on death row. Am sure you will agree with me that all hands must be on deck to save the image of our nation.

THOSE EXECUTED FOR DRUGS IN SAUDI ARABIA

1. Yusuf Yekini Ajiboye
2. Adebayo Adeniyi
3. Mohammed Abubakar
4. Mohammed Issa

I hope I have saved you time that you can channel towards other issues.

Thank you for all your services to our beloved country.

For the record, the stores did not turn down his transactions because of the card used. The issue is most probably with him not informing his bank of intended use of the Naira Mastercard while abroad. He also didn't state the country but I'm quite sure his card may not have been enabled to pay for transactions abroad without being activated for such undecided

Nigerians have taken to social media to react to reports of plans by American oil giant, Exxon Mobil to divest its assets in Nigeria.

According to Reuters, quoting industry and banking sources, the company has held talks on the sale of a suite of oil and gas fields in Nigeria as the company focuses on new developments in U.S. shale and Guyana.

The report said that the potential disposals are expected to include stakes in onshore and offshore fields and could raise up to $3 billion.

However, some commentators blamed the harsh economic realities in Nigeria for the company’s alleged plans to leave the country.
