Sand cannot be delivered through hose naaaa guy!

Swagzy9:
University of Lagos

A massive fire has erupted in Unilag close to the popular senate building.

A car caught fire and a tyre exploded. The fire figthers also didn’t have top notch equipments as they could be seen quenching the fire via buckets rather than a high pressure hose.

Travel › Re: You Board Your Flight & Discover Your Seat Is Taken, How Will You React? by bigtt76(f): 3:12pm On Jun 22, 2019
I just love my windows seat cos I love to sleep all through the flight. From what I gathered in the tweet, it most likely was a free seating flight hence why the air hostess suggested him taking up any other available seat.

Why I won't like to be chanced like that, I don't support the guy's attitude of tryingg to be correct... It's not everyone that understands why someone would want windows seat or front seat.

I'm sure she asked before she took the seat. Let's not in the spirit of saying 'respect is earned' end up insulting our helper.

I don't blame them, social media gave voice to the voiceless. Other cou tries face their own issues too. I've seen toilet facilities closed down in the UK train station because of no water but that doesn't mean it's how it is. We need to reorientate ourselves in this country shaa.

SILVERLINES:
Must Nigerians criticize everything? Taking pictures of everything they see for jesting on social media?
If a government could build such airport, then at what cost does it take to keep the restroom and other minor facilities clean. Probably at the moment cleaners were not in place to keep the place tidy does not mean that's how the place ever be, till now, and ever shall it be. Nigerians and social media are the real problem of this country and why the international communities see and count us as nothing, every little thing we snap pictures and push ourselves out to the world. Probably something like this is happening in the UK and the US but we can't see it on social media make us think they are all perfect than we do.

Investment › Re: Money Market by bigtt76(f): 8:24am On Jun 08, 2019
Money Market Fund (MMF) is just the abridged version of investing in Government treasury bills (TB) except that with MMF, the banks or the financial institution invests on your behalf and pay you interest on the money invested daily, monthly or quarterly with the option of re-investing.

Now, unlike TB, you can opt out at anytime without loss of invested fund don't get it twisted though ....with TB you get paid interest on the principal upfront with your principal remaining intact till the end of the bills' tenure. If you want your principal before the end of the tenure date, then you will have to sell it at a discount rate meaning you lose a percentage of it.

Some MMF operators may require that you don't opt out for 30-90 days after investing but if you want to, then you will be fined a penalty for doing so.

Again, unlike TB, the yield rates fluctuates with the market meaning you can start with 13% today and tomorrow it drops to 12% while with TB, if they say 13% for 90 or 182 days ....so shall it remain untill the next batch of bills are to be sold at a different rate.

I would advice you read up more on the best MMF operator to select from, I know quite a few I've used though - ARM and StanbicIBTC both have low entry levels at N5K. Others may insist on from N50K upwards. There are other good and better ones out there you just have to dig them up.

All the best

Crime › Re: Twitter User Raises Alarm After N810,000 Is Stolen From Zenith Bank Account[pic] by bigtt76(f): 1:07pm On Jun 07, 2019
Exactly. In addition to this, I've always warned people against obtaining a debit card on the account they have all their monies stashed! I see no reason having a savings account and a card on it. Least I would do will be having multiple bank accounts with only one having a card and empty while the other with my cash. If I want to use my card I will just transfer the cash to the account with the card and transact to the exact value.

solasoulmusic:
Somebody around you used your card online on a platform locally or internationally that doesn’t require token because all zenith bank transactions online outside of Nigeria require verification by MasterCard but if it’s just a smaller institution they won’t opt for an expensive gateway

Verifying you can be Soft token or hard token so it’s either they had access to your token or the gateway wasn’t that secure but in some cases they’ll still allow it without because it’s really up to the merchant and how they process it.

I would suggest you check with remita and get the time of the other transaction. Time stamps are important it could even be compromised staff.

I love Zenith though I have my run ins from time to time they do monitor and inform you just depends on how conscious you are and able to react quick like you did. Check your money when you rise and sleep. At atms be very careful online make sure you have anti spyware some of them can record keystrokes and send the information.

I used to like movies downloads etc now I just pay for Netflix when money dey na there all the spyware can come in from downloads

Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by bigtt76(f): 7:50am On Jun 06, 2019
What's the total cost of the fone? Phone cost + DHL cost? Be sure that you will be charged customs duty once you use recognized courier services. The analogy that once its a gift you won't be charged is false. Is the Chinese seller your brother? Or your cousin? Custom officials are not foolish you know? Always factor these things in when making a decision to buy online. What if the device is defective? How do you send it back? Buy locally and Sav your self stress. You even get freebies locally. If I were you I will go that route. All the best shaaa.... You might be lucky. kiss
