How many women out there would allow any one not close to their heart to carry them on their back? Did anyone notice the girl was wearing her madam's dress? Those photos were taken in a studio, would she be comfortable kneeling her down in public if not to portray fun? Abeg don't kill the joy and fun in the shoot, this is too lovely.

You're welcome. As a standard practice, Visa officers always want to see the following in your application 1. Strong ties with your home country 2. Availability of funds to cater for your travel and stay throughout the duration of your visit. This could be very tricky. Don't show proof of funds with N3million and say you are sponsoring yourself for the trip costing you N2.8million for example. The VP would be like, why would you want to spend all your savings just on a 3 weeks vacation. Use wisdom here. 3. Letter of invitation giving strong reason for you to be travel 4. If staying with a host family, that family must prove that they can house you conveniently in an apartment that is rented or owned. They must tender their rent agreement or mortgage documents and bank statements. 5. Your bank statement must show only funds that can be tied to your occupation. That is, if you are an employee with company A, it must show all your salaries paid by the company. Any other cash inflow to that account must be explainable and in your application. For example if in addition to your salary, you get paid commissions by Jumia for affiliate marketing, you should mention that in your application and tender necessary contracts. 6. Ensure no sudden large cash bank deposits before applying it would be suspected. 7. Your storyline should be as genuine as possible no ambiguous stories. 8. A letter from your company (genuinely registered company) showing that you are their staff and you are entitled to a period of time for vacation or leave as well as confirming your salary earned backed by pay slips, would help prove your strong ties. I think these should help give you a head start. I will update with more but I think from what BlowJobs had mentioned and others in the travel section of NL you will be fine. I noticed that you mentioned not having traveled anywhere before, I would advise if you can afford it, travel to Ghana or other African countries first before attempting to try the UK visa thing. Though it may sound foolish but VOs would be wondering why you have not traveled to cheaper African countries first before looking to travel to US or UK. You need to show them how adventurous you are. For me I have a lot of road trips to and from West African coasts splattered all over my passport. I think you should do the same. Does your wife work? If yes then her own situation should be incorporated into the application. For example you both splitting the cost of the vacation with separate bank statements showing what each of you earned. Just make sure you package your application well and truthfully but also try as much as possible to avoid unnecessary details. With UK Visa, it is submit and go using their accredited companies like VFS or others. No serious interview like US Embassy but you will be asked questions during submission. The VO handling your application only has your documents to help determine your suitability for the visa. Where need arises, you might be called by phone to explain. skytouch2: @bigtt76
Thanks for your response. I and my family had applied for US visa two times this year and got denied. Though, I have learnt one or two things about that experience. The new thing now , I want to try UK visa alone to start building my travel history because I have never travel to any where before . I really want to know ,the ropes the best way I can get this visa without getting refused because I have heard from people that UK visa is tough. Please advise , I am a novice on visa thing
Thanks |

Politics › Re: LASG Promises Calm At Lagos Street Carnival by bigtt76(f): 6:50am On Nov 25, 2017 |
Area boys and owo mi daaaa corner no? actiondrilling: The Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture has promised Lagosians that there would be calm during the Lagos Street Carnival scheduled for December 3.
Plans are in top gear by the state Government to shut down a major road in the city’s capital, Oba Akran Avenue for its annual Lagos Street Carnival on December 3. This was disclosed in a brief meeting with the Commissioner and Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Hon. Adebimpe Adesola at the State Secretariat, Alausa.
Dubbed, “Lagos Street Party’’ in its maiden edition, the event has grown into a carnival to mark the start of the ministry’s end of the year activities. It is also designed to celebrate the multi-cultural nature of Lagosians and reposition the state as a formidable cultural destination.
To this end, several adjoining roads would be closed on the day of the carnival while alternative routes could be accessed by road users. The Commissioner revealed why the venue was moved from the island to the mainland this year.
“This year, we are bringing it to the mainland. Of course, next year, we will be looking at another location.
The aim of government is to take this all around Lagos. It is not a programme that will be static in just one location. The Governor has promised Lagosians that he is going to run a government of inclusion where no one will be left behind. Not in infrastructure alone but in every sense of governance and he has been doing that systematically since he became the Governor of Lagos State. You know, Lagos is the centre of excellence,’’ she said.
The events include parade, floats, dance and loads of music from DJs as well as performing artists. Also, each local government will be represented during the parade as well as ethnic groups amongst the residents in Lagos. As regards the target audience for the show, Hon. Adesola stated that the carnival is thrown open to all.
“The programme is not going to be for adults alone. The children will have their own corner and family will also have their own side. We have drawn artists from different genres. We have artists from hip hop, Fuji, Waka, Gospel artists on the bill. We have cultural groups that will also come. The programme will start at 12 noon. Small scale entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to sell their wares at the venue. We have also prepared for the security of lives and properties around the venue,’’ she disclosed.
Meanwhile, the Lagos Street Carnival is powered by the private sector to ensure that this event remains on Lagos State cultural calendar even with the succession of new administration.
In terms of security, Hon. Adesola assured Lagosians and visitors that efforts are in place to ensure that the venue and environs are safe and incident-free.
“We expect more visitors this year and a lot more will be coming. And in terms of security and crowd control, the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture is not working alone. We are working with LASTMA, Security, FRSC, Fire service, LASAMBUS and the LAWMA. All of them are onboard. You are not going to see Oba Akran on Monday in a dirty state,’’ she said.
For Lagos state, this annual cultural event is a source of revenue generation for as visitors from other states lodge at Lagos hotels, the state derives its consumption tax.
The line-up of artists include Olamide, Lil Kesh, Queen Salawa Abeni, Malaika, Tope Sax amongst others.

Electricity generation is just one of the many uses dams are put to use. Storage of water for dry season use, collection of excess rain waters to prevent floods. The use of a damaged for electricity generation however requires more technical features for that to be achieved. Features such as the dam being on a fast flowing but steep river or water path helps in creating the force that turns the turbine fast enough for power to be released. babyfaceafrica: nice...but iif the dam doess not generate light, what is its usefulness? |

Buhari won't make that mistake of re-contesting though LasGidiOwner: Atiku will trash Bubu in the north. With the VP from the SE(block votes), it will be a walk in the park as the SS(block votes) and NC(block votes) will vote massively for Atiku presidency than Buhari presidency. SW will be divided alongside PDP/APC/AD thereby making it impossible for APC to win handsomely in the region.
At the end Atiku will score the highest votes across Nigeria to send the incompetent Buhari back to Daura. |
