I actually didn't mention any religion, but as you've mentioned it first, let me respond along same lines. The muslims never take their dead ones who died at home to the hospital to be certified dead before they're prepared for burial. The Christians do take theirs to the hospital for same to be certified during which they're asked if they want a post-mortem performed or not (the muslims don't give that opportunity).

When the person dies in the hospital, the muslims are always in a hurry to carry home the corpse and prepare for burial while the Christians are all too flexible to keep their in the morgue till such a time they're ready. If hospital wants to perform post-morterm, they're all too free to do so as it is one of the pre-requisite for a death certificate to be issued. I might be wrong though.

NOETHNICITY:
So why have u christians nt been doing this. When u pple have failed to lead by example yet u want muslims to follow.

Nairaland General › Re: 19-Year-Old Girl Who Lives In A Plastic Bowl Dies by bigtt76(f): 7:26pm On Dec 26, 2016
It is technically wrong not to have a post mortem or autopsy on the dead.

NOETHNICITY:
Thousands of pple die daily both in Naija and across the world after some brief illness and less than 1% of the deceased undergo postmortem.
Nairaland General › Re: 19-Year-Old Girl Who Lives In A Plastic Bowl Dies by bigtt76(f): 3:39pm On Dec 26, 2016
The write up said ...'Brief Illness' without specifying what made her ill to have taken her life undecided

NOETHNICITY:
Can't remember anywhere the write up says she died of unnatural causes or mysterious circumstances to prompt the need for anyform of investigation.
Why do u think a postmortem shud be carried our here?

Thank you jaaare! People nowadays don't see reason in a good comment. That's why the western world are more developed than we are and also they're able to find cures to ailments faster. We blame them of others afflicting us but for which no solution has been found. its because of practices such as this. Ebola which almost decimated West Africa, was spread because of religious practices. angry

....Abeg who get that meme for people who are against this to go f@ck themselves kiss

Chinks:
bigtt76 actually made a valid point. If the family members could allow medical experts to do that, I believe it will go a long way to prevent such occurrence.

jonhemma11:
Former President Goodluck Jonathan has taken to social media to wish Nigerians happy Christmas.Below is what he wrote and see how Nigerians commended him....

'The essential message of Christmas is that Christ came to earth to live and die for the purpose of reconciling us to God. Being recipients of such good tidings, should we not appreciate this divine sacrifice by being reconciled with each other during this Yuletide season and beyond? My desire for Nigeria and Nigerians this Christmas is that we treasure our common brotherhood knowing that if God did not will it so, we would not have found ourselves as Nigerians. To God be the glory, we have survived to this point and I am more than confident that we will go on to thrive in 2017 as we work together to build a Nigeria where anyone can become anything irrespective of his region, religion or tribe. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year from my family and I to you and your family. May God bless Nigeria. GEJ'

Business › Re: Lagosians Complain Bitterly About Lake Rice Trouble by bigtt76(f): 11:39am On Dec 24, 2016
PMB regime and essential commodities grin happened first in 1984 now happening again undecided

EdifiedCEO:
Lagosians who want to purchase the government's Lake Rice, which costs N12,000 per 50kg bag, are complaining bitterly.

The news of Lake rice's arrival had been greeted with cheers but when sales began on Thursday, the cheers turned to complaints. Instead of finding relief in the scheme like they had expected, many people in fact had their problems compounded while trying to access the product. The frustration is mounting.

Here are accounts of three residents who were frustrated trying to get the product:

Kelechi Ukatu, from Ori-Okuta, Ikorodu said:

“In my life, I have never suffered the way I did on Thursday,”

“I left my house very early that morning to go to Farm Service Centre in Odogunyan where the LAKE Rice was to be sold for interested buyers living around Ikorodu. Of course by the time I got there around 10:00am, I met more than 200 people who had already registered and gone to pay in the bank. By the time it was my turn to register my name; I was the 700th person for that day alone.

“While I was still there, waiting to get a teller to go and pay in the bank, the 200 people who had already paid were asked to wait for their payments to be confirmed at the state secretariat at Alausa before they would be given their rice. Many of them waited for hours and later left the place angrily after some of the officials asked them to check back the next day.

“A lot of people also left in frustration after waiting several hours just to get a teller to go and pay in the bank. I left the place by 1:00pm without recording any success. On Friday morning, I went back to check, the situation was worse, I had to give up. I am just pained that I wasted that much time waiting in a queue for something that won’t even get to me. If not for God, I could have fainted in the midst of that suffering,” she said, fuming with rage.

Mr. Ayodele Bamgbose, another Ikorodu resident said:

“It is a good thing that the Lagos State Government came up with this idea of selling bags of rice for N12, 000 each but their good intention has turned to a huge disappointment for many of us who cannot even get to buy the product even after visiting the Odogunyan centre for two days.

“Apart from the large number of people at the place, the process one is subjected to before he or she can purchase just one bag is not fair. In fact, if you are not healthy, you could faint in the process.

“How can people wait in the queue for more than two hours just to register and be given tellers to go and pay in the bank? Even by the time you pay and come back, they tell you they have to confirm if your payment has reflected in the server in Alausa. This is madness to me; it does not make sense in any way,” he said.

“How can they ask us to provide our LASRA cards just because we want to purchase rice?” Bunmi Ogunleye, a hairdresser, asked angrily. “It is not as if it’s a document that every resident of Lagos has yet, so I don’t know why that should be used as a condition to purchase the LAKE Rice. I left the centre I visited because the idea did not make any sense to me,” she said.

There were similar tales of frustration and disappointment in many of the sales points across most local government areas of Lagos between Thursday and Friday. For many, the exercise had not lived up to their expectations especially with the criteria adopted to select beneficiaries.
