I should point out that the Emir has been saying this for years (along with Okonjo Iweala, he backed GEJ in 2012 over subsidy removal).

The truth is, WE HAVE TO STOP PAYING SUBSIDES for power and electricity. Subsides have been going up because the number of Nigerians buying cars, generators, etc...is going up.

Subsides are also the reason why we cannot build new refienreis and attract investment in the downstream sector...as well as the power sector...because who is going to refine fuel at N165 (NNPC figures) and sell it below N150?? Who is going to come and invest in pwoer sector and be colecting bills at 30% the cost of power production??

Who is going to accept government that forces him or her to sell goods at a loss, and only pays you the difference between the government price and the price you bought the goods at?

And the cabals are being fuelled because quite simply...government polices force them to engage in sharp practices like smuggling fuel across the border to earn a profit...and make claims for products not improted.

Meanhwile, oil our major earner is at $80 and below. We need it at $140 per barrel to be able to run an economy WITHOUT BORROWING.

So, we have no choice. Subsidies must go. YES....we will be paying N300 and above for fuel (which by the way is what they pay in Niger, Cameroon, even Benin...and all these countries are as poor as we are...and Niger is even poorer...and they all produce oil). Yes, electricity bills will shoot up to N30000 and above per month for a one room apartment...but we haven't got any choice.

Our budget cannot sustain us.

So, let's face facts, YES....LET US FIGHT CORRUPTION AS WELL, LET APC STOP BEING PARTIAL....but the truth is SUBSIDY HAS TO GO...unless you got N20 TRILLION extra for Nigeria every year...somewhere.

In 2012....Nigerians foolishly rejected GEJ's good idea of removal of subsidy...partial yes...but better than not removing it. Thanks to that we missed out in investment...and in job creation, refinery building (yes...we could have had more refinereis built than just Dangote) and even sorting out the power problem.

I do not think the FG both past and present do actually have an economic blue print that will position Nigeria well. All we've ever had probably after the civil war is economic policies towards managing the economy. Our policies have always been on the verge of "manage" to growth rather than "stable" to growth.

As far as Nigeria is concerned business owners are only interested in maximum profits by any means necessary.

Not all of us is against the removal of subsidy for petroleum products/electricity distribution, but its the resultant effect on the masses. And this effect is ripple like.

A sane economic policy as regards this subject matter should be one that can give all the right incentives to private investors.Those incentives are supposed to act as subsidy given an agreed time frame and they fix an appropriate price for consumers.



But given in Nigeria with all the incentives the government gives to private investors they still cry foul in order to rip the consumers

The profits they have made in Nigeria surpasses that made in South Africa even if we go by population count.

Job 1:6 - God’s sons refers to the angels.

We are forever safe in the true ark

There was only one pair of dogs on Noah’s ark. From within their genes, came all other pedigrees of dogs. The potential is all in their genes.

Science can’t explain hibernation. The animals on Noah’s ark slept most of the time.

God remembered Noah and all the animals. Remember doesn’t mean to just think of them.

Genesis 7:15-16 - Elohim (Creator God) commanded Noah to build the ark.
Yahweh (Covenant-Keeping God) closed the door of the ark.
When God closes the door, no one can open it to drag you out to the waters of judgment.
Even when the ark gets a little turbulent from the choppy waters outside, you will fall safely within the ark, not out of the ark.
The name Jesus means “Yahweh saves”. Jesus even saves you from yourself — many times we are our own worst enemies.

Genesis 7:1 - One of the most beautiful words in the Bible is “Come”.
Jesus said “Come unto Me... and I will give you rest.”
You don’t need to clean yourself before stepping into the bath.
Step into the bath and you will come out clean.
Jesus is the Bath. You can’t clean yourself from your sins. Only faith in Jesus can give you forgiveness of sins.
When the Lord said “come”, it means that He is in the ark.

Genesis 8:15-16 - When the Lord says “go out” it means that He is still in the ark.
The Lord is the last to leave the ark. He’s a true Hero — He’s the first one in, and the last one out.

A holy life is not the root of your salvation. It is a fruit.

Genesis 8:4 - Ararat means “curse reversed”. Because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, the curse has been reversed.
We are standing on ‘no-curse’ ground!

Genesis‬ ‭8:18-19 - Every creature that went into the ark came out alive and safe. It’s not how good we are — it’s how good your ark is.

There is still judgment coming. There will be a Second Coming of Jesus Christ where He will judge the unbelieving world.

Genesis 9:13-15 - No flood shall ever destroy the earth again.
A rainbow is formed when a storm and sunlight collide.
When the devil sends a storm, God gives you His Grace, forming a rainbow.
The rainbow has seven colors. God does many things in sevens.
You can see in the Book of Revelation that there is a rainbow around God’s throne in Heaven.

“I set my rainbow in the cloud, and it will be a sign of a covenant between me and the earth. When I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow will be seen in the cloud, and I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh, and the waters will no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.” ‭‭(Genesis‬ ‭9:13-15‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Isaiah 54:9 - This chapter comes after Isaiah 53 which is about the suffering of Jesus at the cross.
Thanks to Jesus’ finished work at the cross, God swore that He will never be angry with us who believe in Jesus.

They are legal. The controversy is in whether the timing of inauguration was appropriate, good faith and duly communicated. Once such conditions are met, it is immaterial whether quorum is form or not. Those present at inauguration will simply elect the leadership via simple majority.

Let me be straight forward, I got a call from home (I'm in school), i was told that network providers want to use a part of the compound for erection of their mast. The deal is, 15 years agreement but they are ready to pay 4m-5m for the first 5 years of agreement.

Yeah, the agreement is juicy, but my concern is that, health wise, is it advisable to have a mast near a house?
