Same noise some made about provisions for server in INEC's budget. I don't know how they leaped from provisions for server in INCE's budget to INEC actually buying and using servers. They reason like 2 year old kids.

Sometimes you just have to question their level of intelligence
.
I naturally don't question their level of intelligence. .......
I question the level of intelligence of the rest of us who see something meaningful in a write up that still tells us what's in the public domain.

For the avoidance of doubt, I wish to tender a copy of the 2017-2021 strategic programme of action document, which dealt with issues of ICT including servers, card readers and the electronic transmission of election results," he claimed.

So this group is bringing a write up on a purported document as claim that a server exists?...
I was expecting something more reasonable........

Nigerian judges and selective judgement. They are powerful and seen to defend the Constitution when a governor is involved but a very willing tool in the hands of the President.

The same Constitution that could not save Onnoghen is now very powerful in Kogi to save the Chief Judge.
It depends on the terms used.
Onnoghen was suspended(told to stand aside pending the case by the CCT) by the President.
The case in Kogi is different. If the governor has chosen suspension instead of sacking then he may have succeeded.

The role of the NJC is quite clear as to removal and recommendation of judges.

I agree with you. The Nigerian society values doctors more than engineers. If there is no light everybody knows whose fault it is. Everybody blames the engineer not minding his constraints.
It is not so in medicine. If a patient dies it is not their fault but the will of God. Can you see the difference?
That's 7up, crystal clear.

You are one of those morons coming really hard on the poor guy because of his opinion and maybe a little glitch in the write up. Well to set the record straight, some of us studied engineering not because of the fun of it or to cram and memorize all day like the medical guys do but for the love of technology and innovation. No thanks to the stupid government and the ineffective NSE who did not implement the SITSIE recommendation of the NSE. That would have placed us on the same level with the doctors.

Notwithstanding, with little or no support from the govt, some of us are doing so great with the useless mathematics you call it.

Google the name of africans working in silicon valley, if at all your dumb ass know where that is, and you will be amazed how the neglected nigerian engineers are making us proud.
It's good to hear that some morons are doing great in the profession even with the useless and dumb ass mathematics.
Kudos.

All over the world, doctors are usually the highest. A new doctor in Nigeria (House officer) is earning just 180k per month. If you compare the works this dudes do in the hospital, u will pity them. It's not good to judge for afar.
Please can you highlight the type of job doctors do?
You forget, a hospital does not only have doctors.

Have you ever assumed what kind of work "bankers" do?

Every job is as important as the other but society have categorized some above others.

This is why we have remained where we are. We hate the truth and we don't read. We don't reason. If you have observed very well, you would have seen that I said the 'Average Engineer'. This means it does not apply in all the cases. But people like you put insult before reasoning. I can forward to you my work completions. I meet a lot of guys who claimed to be engineers. They know calculus but how is this relevant to the Nigerian society?
"Average Engineer" indeed.
Have you ever heard of the word "Average Doctors", or is it every doctor that's a doctor even with all the housemanship and training they go through.

Every profession has got people who have gone through it all and have nothing to offer, so it's not peculiar to the Engineering profession.
CareerRe: Why Do Doctors Start Federal Job On Level 12? by bixton(m): 6:08pm On Jun 20, 2019
chrisxxx:
I can tell you why. For your information I am an engineer.
A doctor is readily relevant in the Nigerian society once he is qualified. He gets into the field with less supervision even when we know sometimes he learns from his mistake.
An average Nigerian engineer has no ready contribution. You are only being employed to assist you. You cant design anything. You cant troubleshoot. You cant contribute to anything meaningful. They dont see you as a professional. A Nigerian engineer is almost useless. If you think you can solve maths, who maths elp? Others read Maths/Computer they may even solve it better.
Wonderful statements from an engineer.
It must have been hard for your lecturers to impact knowledge on you.
It must be a waste of time and effort to have even studied such and to have graduated.
Please which of the engineering divisions do you belong to?

Yes same applies to Dogara. Gbaja was minorityleader-majorityleaader-speaker. Mitt Rommey was the republican candidate in 2012 but, is now a senator last november.
I have checked Hon. Dogara on Wikipedia. .....he has served as committee chairman. It's best he be made same in the committee where his contributions will be applauded.

Hon. Gbaja with what you have said is on track.

Apologies, but becoming a presidential aspirant is not a title. And even if he had become a former president who later turned to be a senator, then it can be said that he's on track. The American system as a president, you're subjected to the parliamentarians/legislators. The reverse is in Nigeria, so one does not expect a former president or former presidential aspirant who knows his/her onions to do same.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: This Was How I Lost A Bank Job Opportunity Yesterday . I Hope It Helps Someone. by bixton(m): 8:22am On Jun 20, 2019
AGManuel:
I write this with tears in my eyes but I won't cry because a man is not supposed to.

If really I was such a bad person , I hope to change and live a better life. But to deserve unemployment because of a past situation I found myself in which I couldn't help, I think it's too much for me to bear, but what do I know? maybe I deserve to be unemployed.

But if I tell you I'm not depressed, I'm lieing .

Last year I got a marketing Job with a bank few months after my NYSC when things were extremely hard . Even transport money to go for the training was hard. On the first day of training, on my way home, I lost my phone which was the only thing of value I had then. Safe to say I began the Job phoneless , cashless and frustrated .

Even money to buy bank wears and appear smart or serious was a case . No transport for work, no phone for my work and marketing, no clothes to wear, I'll leave out feeding coz I could control that with starvation or one square meal. My mom was only able to raise small cash for me which most times didn't last a week, transport to and fro was 400 naira, a plate of food was 300, before I get transport for marketing , airtime and transport to call and bringing customers to open accounts and running around on the job which was money intensive, anybody who worked a as marketer before can relate...all these with a huge target of 30 accounts to open and a target of 3 million to bring to the bank.. At least I'm expected to spend 1k a day on the Job which I have not been paid. Remember it was my first month and most banks don't pay in the first month, it's in the second month they combine your salary and pay. Pay was 35k. I was just frustrated.

All these struggles manifested in my performance coz I couldn't deliver and my first two months was a mess coz some days I just couldn't go to work. Sometimes I came to work late coz I had to look for transport money in the morning. Being able to come to work and survive was my main concern then, I fell sick many times out of starvation and it affected my Job. On one occasion or two the Branch manager assisted with stipends when I complained to her about my struggles. Most times the stipends only lasted a day or two but It was a life saver for me coz there was no other option, at least I was able to come to work and eat the next day. Fellow colleagues couldn't help, nobody could, I dropped shame one day in the board meeting and asked for help for we the new staff and how hard it is for us to keep up with the Job. I got nothing.

Not too long after, I resigned to pursue something else . I traveled.

Only for me to come back after 8 months for another bank Job interview and when my former Branch manager was called as a referral, the one I complained to about my struggles and reasons for my underperformance , the same one who assisted me sometimes and this was her reply "He's unserious, indiscipline and unfit for the Job. I was not supposed to hear that but the interviewer put it on loud by mistake and I heard that part before she quickly put the phone off. Immediately I knew I wasn't gonna get the Job.

It hurts me so much, dad is no more, mom a widow, siblings in school calling me day and night for money being the first son and bread winner. If I'm unserious and irresponsible, I can change & become better. No matter the circumstances I faced, I can't make excuses for that. But if I was such a terrible person to deserve unemployment . I let God be the Judge. The interview happened yesterday.

I'm back to the unemployment table guys. My advice to every young hustler out there is to do their best on any job they find themselves no matter the circumstances. But my prayer is for our pasts not to deny us our future bread. We go make am last last.
In as much as its painful, do not let it derail you.
There are lots of persons who have gone through same.
There's always a light at the end.
Do not be surprised today you might be an employee, tomorrow you might be an employer.
Let whatever happened be a motivation for you.
Believe in yourself and your creator.
PoliticsRe: Bayelsa Assembly Insists On Pension For Lawmakers by bixton(m): 7:32am On Jun 20, 2019
Don't mind those ingrates.
Pension for serving for only 4/8years, while the average civil servant who served the state for 30yrs upwards before pension is being owed arrears running into years.

Have they for once debated why our elderly are being left to live in abject poverty? No.

Bayelsa has a lot of things for those legislatures to debate on like;

Why there is no electricity in yenegoa such that even the state assembly and government house runs on generators.

Why there is no single production/manufacturing industry in yenegoa/bayelsa.

Why 90% of confectionery sold within the state comes from neighbouring states

Why asides civil service there is no other means of employment in the state.

Why the state water boards only exist on paper as no tap anywhere is running.

Why social services ministries are practically not on ground.

Just to mention a few.

So if with all these and more the problem of this 6th assembly. is their pension, they are worth being called ingrates.

And for those shouting PDP n co, have u ever heard lawmakers either at the local, state or federal level quarrel when it comes to sharing money?
They are all same.
Make Bayelsa an APC state today and they will still push this abomination through.
Please do not make the bold as part of your beautiful statement.
There are States where the leadership is of the APC and we are yet to hear such absurdities of any nature.
So lets not assume.
One thing which our legislative houses lacks is vision, and till we have that, we're far from great and meaningful expectations.

Where the 5th failed, the 6th will also.

I'm still trying to comprehend the absurdity of such bill?
There's an existing law as regards insurance policy(personal) and its left for them to key into such.
They need not waste valuable time collecting allowances to put up another for mischief reasons.

Except of course they intend using ill gotten monies for such purposes at the expense of those who voted or rigged them in.

You just agreed totally with what he said. For whatever reason, no region has ever benefitted for having someone at the federal level. The point about Peter Obi is irrelevant because the same rule applies.
You did not get my drift.
Benefits come directly and indirectly.
You're trying to attribute regions to land mass.

Remember people, persons and personalities, represent regions.
So if those benefits don't get to the regions then it's not the portfolio that's the problem but the individual occupying it.

Good luck ruled for 6yrs as a President, 2yrs as vice, how did that liberate the SS, what good did it bring to bayelsa his own state

Buhari the number 1 citizen, yet kidnapers and insecurity has taken his home, the north has ruled this country more than any region, yet they are the capital of poverty, most children out of school, insecurity headquarter.

The SE is missing nothing, because those ruling are gaining natihin

Bold 1----- His region did not benefit because they did not like him and he returned the gesture.
Bold 2-----He was surrounded by the wrong sets of people and over greedy people who saw their closeness to him as a way to enrich themselves.
Bold 3----That is happening because those involved are trying to proove a point and send a message across.
Bold 4----Don't ever believe such. The north is that way and may stay same because it benefits the elites, ruling class and privileged ones. It's a means to an end.....mostly personal.
Bold 5----If that is true, Peter Obi would not have accepted to be a running mate to Atiku under the PDP even though he has said derogatory words about the party.

The last is eternally true.

Yes I'm a producer. That's very good if they do in your area. I think that's the next step where I am. Perhaps you should share with us the method for discovering tainted palm oil in your area.
It's a simple technique to those who know original palm oil.
We use a clean stick or pipe to insert into the 25litre can, and check for the colour difference and residue that stays on the stick/pipe upon removal.
FoodRe: Lady Buys Fake Palm Oil In Abuja, Shares Photos by bixton(m): 2:27pm On Jun 19, 2019

A very large proportion of palm oil in Nigeria is tainted with dye. It's a very sad reality. No matter how bad it gets, I can never taint palm oil I produce. People do all sorts to make fast money these days. People erroneously believe that the redder and more good looking the palm oil is, the better. Mehn you are so wrong. Let me educate most of you on how to buy original palm oil.
1. Smell the palm oil. Palm oil has a faint sometimes a bit more pronounced roasted smell. You may not get this smell from pronounced producers like Okomu, Presco, etc because they use a different process to purify and dehydrating their oils.
2. Palm oil at room temperature will have a viscous bottom layer, semi-viscous middle layer, and a less viscous top layer.
3. The colour of the bottom layer is a shade lighter than the middle which in turn is a shade lighter than the top.
Take a white piece of paper, a spoon, a small container like a small tomato tin and about 10-30cl of water along with you to the market.
Tell the seller to stir the palm oil in the container and after that, take just a spoon of the oil and mix with a spoon of water. After stirring pour the mixture on the paper. If there is dye in it then you should see water and dye separated from the oil across the paper.
Are you a palm oil producer or seller?

From where I come from and where we buy mostly nobody will let you try that.
Though there are other methods we use to test such and for those buying in large quantities.
FoodRe: Lady Buys Fake Palm Oil In Abuja, Shares Photos by bixton(m): 2:00pm On Jun 19, 2019
Most of the palm oil sold in the market have some form of chemical or colouring added to it. It's majorly done by those who sell directly to the end consumers and not necessarily the producers/manufacturers.

There are lots of things people should be wary of buying in the market.............
1) Already grounded egusi, cameroun pepper, crayfish.........
2) Already cut veggies...........
3) Kanda/Kpomo( those ones that look over big for #100)
4) Towel/Shaki
4) Periwinkle/Isam
.....and lots more.

I want to assume your roofing wood members were treated before placed.

You'll need to find the source of entry of the termites to be able to solve it.
But on a general level fumigate your entire site(every where internal and external) before you start installation of the POP.
You can repeat the process 3 months after installation again. Do same again when you intend moving into your house.

Ensure your site(inside the house and outside) is properly cleaned after each works is carried out on-site.

Good day once again my esteemed team of builders and professionals. I have another question.
If someone is to cast a dpc, does he have to do some part of the plumbing before the casting? I keep wondering how drains for the bathroom and the toilet will be done when dpc has been cast already. Especially, the recessed type in bathrooms. Imagine having your foundation up to 6 courses high do u need to bore the wall by the side to direct the toilet waste and bathroom drains to the pit? Does your pit also need to be up to the dpc height? Thanks team.
There are so many ways to go about such but the ideal thing is to do your waste piping inlet-outlet before the casting.
With regards to the pit, the final height/level of your pit is supposed to correspond with your interlocking stones/concrete pavement/increte.
Except there's some particular reason you want it to be different.
