If you were given a bill of #3.5M then that should be okay for the first milestone of a twin 2 bedroom. If there be any variation it should be within #300k, which solely depends on how you source for materials, logistics, off loading (loading) of materials to your site and planning. USBILAL: ATIKU, THE PROVIDER OF LABOUR AND SERVICES? A BRIEF CASE STUDY OF AMERICA UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA
By Akin Omoz-Oarhe
Why are you always led by the nose ? Can’t you do your independent reasoning? Just imagine Atiku telling you that he is a provider of labour and services through his various investments and you are now jumping all over the place repeating same. Can’t you ask what labour he has provided and who are the beneficiaries of the services defender. Can’t you ask how the “services” he has provided over the years, improved the life of the down trodden? What a shame. Let me help you here, taking a glance at one one of his best known investments, the America University of Nigeria.
Atiku owns America University of Nigeria, Yola, Adamawa State. Adamawa is his home state. Constituting the Board are:
BOARD MEMBERS. **1. Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Non-Nigerian **2. Dr. John Campbell. Non-Nigerian **3. Dr. Bamanga Tukur. Nigerian **4. Dr. Louis Goodman. Non-Nigerian **5. Mr. Gabriele Volpi. Non-Nigerian **6. Alhaji Tajudeen Dantata. Nigeria **7. H.E. Prof. Gilbert Bukenya. Non-Nigerian **8. Prof. William Bertrand. Non-Nigerian **9. Vice Admiral D. J. Ezeoba. Nigerian **10.Bishop Matthew Kukah. Nigerian **11. Dr. Anna Mokgokong. Non-Nigerian **12. Alhaji Adamu Abubakar. Nigerian **13. Chief (Dr.) Mike Adenuga. Nigerian **14. Dr. Peter Lewis. Non-Nigerian **15. Mr. Jon Freeman. Non-Nigerian **16. Mr. Ike Chioke. Nigerian **17. Mr. Akin Kekere-Ekun Nigerian **18. Dr. Dawn Dekle. Non-Nigerian
Can you believe that 56% of the Board membership are non-Nigerians. Why would Atiku think that Nigerians cannot totally run his University.
LIST OF PRESIDENTS Since inception of the University, there have been four Presidents which are equivalent to our Vice Chancellors. They are **1. David Huwiler. Non-Nigerian **2. Michael Smith. Non-Nigerian **3. Margee Ensign. Non- Nigerian **4. Dawn Dekle. Non-Nigerian.
Why does Atiku think that Nigerians are good enough to Head his school? Not even one? I can only think out a reason: It is part of human behavior to see in other people what you are. If you are a fraud, you think everyone else is a fraud. To Atiku, all Nigerians are all fraud like him who should never be allowed to Head his institution lest they financially crumble the place.
WHAT BENEFIT DO PARENTS OF ADAMAWA KIDS DERIVE FROM THE SCHOOL?
For a First Degree, The fee is : Tuition 1,590,000 Boarding 650,000 Meals. 678,300 Technology 70,000 Sports. 50,000 Student Activities 60,000 Health 20,000 e-Books 90,000
TOTAL. 3,208,300 (Three million, Two hundred and eight thousand, three hundred naira only). In addition to this, a student that decides to take an extra course in a semester beyond the 15 credit units for that semester, pays extra N53,000 per credit unit. Note also that the feeding here is for only 42 meals the college would provide. You provide the rest 1050 meals for yourself. In simple term, a student spends over N4m per annum just to be student of Atikus Iniversity.
Adamawa is not a particularly rich state. Most people are peasant farmers. A permanent secretary in Adamawa State is on annual salary of about N2m. Such a Permanent Secretary would need a two year salary to pay one year school fees of one of his four children in AUN. What could be giving Atiku the picture that his people can afford such a fee? Again we can see Atiku projecting his life style on others. As a custom officer, Atiku became a multi billionaire from stealing public fund. He expects other public officers to do same. As regards the peasant farmers, Atiku definitely believes they are simply not worthy of attending his school. The chances are high that there may not be up to 20 Adamawa Children in AUN and definitely not a single child of the honest civil Servant or Peasant.
WHAT TYPE OF CHILDREN IS ATIKU BREEDING? Think of the kid from Atiku’s University that had spent over N60,000 monthly on accommodation and had been fed 42 times at the rate 16,000 per meal. Now academically endowed, he desires to improve his fatherland by taking up an accountant in Adamawa State Ministry of Finance where his entire annual salary is less than N500,000 to cater for his accommodation, feeding, clothing, transportation and with a view to bring up his own child in colleges not worse than the one he attended. Tell me what he would do? Sure there is only one way open to him. It is to behave like Atiku and go straight for the treasury.
Nigerian youths, please avoid Atiku like a plague You have done well. But just a few remaining. Can you help in informing us of the origins and pay grade of the lecturers in different categories as well as the non academic staffs. |

Just pick the quote you prefer and ensure the artisan does a good job. If you can read a measuring tape and you intend buying materials by yourself. It's very easy Take your floor plan and extract the measurements in each space. Ensure its in sqm. Or You get a tiler to give you the measurement on areas for floor tiles. Then you compare which quotes is close in measurement from which you can choose from. |

Was told such is available in a choice location. Want to go check it out but I need to know if I can build anything reasonable on it.
Need details as regards number of bedrooms, cars, little garden it can take.
Thanks.
Cc: Mountmoriah. Your desire for space within your rooms plays a significant role. Bungalow----3 bedroom Duplex--- 4 bedroom Duplex+Penthouse-------5 Bedroom You have your portable green area. You have space for 3-4 cars to park. If your location adheres strictly to standard setbacks for residential buildings then you'll have less space for cars on this plot. |

The North fought GEJ tooth and nail when President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua died. What was that unusual, uncommon word the legislative used in proclaiming him president? The North refused to back PGEJ's second tenure.
The North helped PMB won the 2015 elections. The North have been instigating crisis in the country. Why is the North divided over PMB's second term bid?
Atiku Abubakar the presidential aspirant under the PDP is also of the North. The PDP has alot of political calculations to do and alot more now than when these North-men left them for APC. Has the North actually lost any presidential election in Nigeria?
The West got 8 years. The North got 2 years direct and 2 years indirect. The South got 2 years indirect and 4 years direct.
Depending on the outcome of the 2019 elections, the North may get 8 years or 12 years ahead. When will the East get theirs? Will the East be able to broker a formidable deal with the North? |

Daboomb: You are pushing your luck too far!
I just did the ESTIMATION now, now, but l was on my way out when l made the earlier post, just to tell him he does not need someone Survey Plan, to answer a request for something as simple as what was asked. Calculations l am giving out to someone will not done when l am in a hurry, to avoid mistakes. That was why l could not do the estimation immediately. At least l have done it while You and your friend are still expecting the person's survey plan. Or maybe you want to condemn the calculation, since l am not a Contractor?
Again, it is NOT a Quote, because unlike you and the desperate contractor you are defending, l am not a Contractor. (Just an ordinary floor member here, who have gained from the FREE contributions of others and will always encourage and provide my own little FREE contribution, whenever l can). No one can say l have ever prospect for any job, anywhere. I have been a Client at various times
From your own statements, you obviously also agree that it is FRAUDULENT, to be asking for somebody's survey plan, just to give them a rough estimation of something as basic as erecting two coaches of perimeter fencing of two plots of land when it can be done without such Survey Plan being handed over.
Dont even try to you 'reverse psychology' to accuse me of another thing while trying to defend that your possibly fraudulentand desperate fellow Contractor.
BTW: You still have not told us (as you claimed), how it is impossible to do that Calculation without laying your hands on the Survey plan of that Nairalander? Between this post and the previous I wonder which is even lengthy since you claimed to have being in a hurry. Thanks for rendering answers. You have done well. |

Daboomb: I am disappointed at your post, maybe YOU TOO should have allowed the person that @jabolo's post was directed to, to respond? You see, at times, we are guilty of what we accuse other of.
But that is by the way. I dont have to be the one to respond to him, infact, l just ignored his response because he has shown the "type of Personand Contractor he is".
The problem was someone who wants to do TWO coaches of Fence, round his TWO plots of land. Okay, let's go there: One Plot is either 50 x 100 or 60 x 120 (for large Plots) You simply take the Perimeter of Both plots, lying side-by-side (say 100 (length) + 50 + 50 (double breath) + 100 (length) + 50 + 50 (breath) = 400ft.
Did l need a Survey plan to calculate that?
Now, each Block (say the Client wants to use 6" Blocks) is 18" in length (or 1.5ft). Thus, if you divide 400 ft by 1.5ft, you get 266.7 or 267 Blocks approximately.
We need to factor-in breakages (minus) and Mortar-fillings between the Blocks (additive), eventually, these two will cancel each other, approximately.
We also know that a Big 15ft Gate will remove 10 Blocks from the line it is placed. So, if he is installing a Gate, he will use approximately 257 Units of 6" Blocks (otherwise, he will use 267 Blocks approx)
If he decides to use Blocks as Pillars (by doubling them, he will place pillars at every 6 blocks interval). That mean he would have about 267 divided by 6 = 45 Pillars ( 43 Block Pillars, with Gate inclusive) Therefore, an extra block for each Pillar = 45 or 43 Blocks extra, depending.
In all 257 + 44 (average) = 301 Blocks required for first, ground coach. Two Coaches is 301 x 2 = 602. Let us round it up to 650 Blocks, maximum.
If he is using concrete Pillars of 9" thickness with a Gate inlcusive, he will still use 43 Concrete Pillars and (257 - 22 ) = 237 Blocks. Again, let us round it up to 250 Blocks per coach. Thus total number of Blocks required, for the Two Plots Perimeter fencing (side-by-side), with 10ft Gate installed, 9" Concrete Pillars at every six blocks interval AND for TWO Coaches Perimeter = 500 Blocks MAXIMUM
Cost in Naira, will now depend on how much A Tipper of Sand and a Bag of Cement are sold @Tracypacy's own Area.
Did l collect his survey plan to answer his question? No.
So, l am right to say he does not need a survey plan to answer simple question like was asked.
That he chose to show his level and be raining abuse like l have taken food from his mouth, just shows how desperate he is.
I wont dignify him with a reply and you too can tell us WHY you think that question cannot be answered, providing the person with a close as possible answer, without seeing his survey plan (that survey plan contains a lot of personal details and should only be shared when ablsolutely necessry.).
Thank you.
#jabolo: Thanks for responding, even without my prompting. I understand itt is just natural not to allow this sort of malfeanse to pass without a response. He is who he is. So you had it in you to put up a quote, yet decided to call someone a fraud indirectly. I'm definitely disappointed. We are all who we are. God knows us best. |

And no I don’t have blocks or cement on site yet. Apologies. My bad. Please forming inspection chambers should be about #2k/chamber inclusive of dressing and the slab/cover. You'll provide the blocks/cement/sand/rods (slab cover). A mason will handle the construction of chambers. |

Your site engineer or plumber should be in the best position to tell you. Normally, your toilet/bathroom, kitchen, will have chambers. Rubbiish: Concrete fascia are supported by columns, as long as there are supporting columns, there is really no much to worry about, regardless of the size of blocks. There's actually no column on that building apart from that which is at the ends (corners) of the building. So invariably the concrete fascia is being held by the the roof beam cum fascia. |
