What a big shame. In 2024 the rulling party can't even cconduct a simple nomination. The black man is truly cursed. We simply can't do anything right |
Things are getting worse now, because people are starting to loose faith in the Niara. Business people are now transferring their profits to Dollar and Pounds, even if they don't actually need the FX. This is putting further downward pressure on the Niara. This going to get a lot worse before it gets better |
PARADIZEPRIEST:Buhari's govt had banned the importation of a lot of products to encourage local production. This govt removed the ban, which will lead to an increase in demand for FX. The FG needs to place a very high import duty on items like artificial hair and many other non essential things that eat up FX |
Na statistics we go chop ![]() |
no problem for me, I am using dollars to build my house in Abuja |
Ohibenemma:The APC candidate has already been selected behind closed doors. He's been promised 'Juicy compensation' so by stepping down, he makes it look like his doing a sacrifice for the party. He will be well taken care of. |
SoNature:1000% agree. With the issues we are currently facing, the last thing we need is a wholesale change of the system of the govt. Also we need to remember the lessons of the first republic. The Parliamentary system of govt can be very unstable. The Presidential system actually works, but it needs to be done properly, and that means states and LG's need to be totally fiscally independent. Every state should have resource control of their resources and can pay 'energy tax' the center. Police, power generation and rail should all be state responsibilities, while high speed rail between states will be Federal. |
They need to be patient, because Peter Obi is still learning his lesson. When PO gets his certificate in 'Tinubumomics' then maybe the suffering will start to end |
professor100:Go and build your own university with only mosque. Nobody is stopping you |
mrvitalis:Bless you Dollar needs to get to 5000 before we even begin to get sense |
I've got to say the man has a point. Nigerians don't put enough pressure on the their state governments and LGs to deliver. Everyone focuses only on the FG |
Who cares, Its still their kids that will get jobs in those departments. They can locate the departments on the moon for all I care. It doesn't affect me or my family. |
Watianoengineer:Its better to keep quiet, and let people think you are senseless, than to open your mouth and remove all doubts. |
On his mandate they shall stand! They said they will teach Peter Obi a lesson(Who is teaching who now?) They said Muslim-Muslim ticket is a victory for Islam in Nigeria. Shey an Quran they go chop now? Under Tinubu Nigerians will FINALLY get sense by fire by force! |
The same system we had that collapsed in the 1st republic. Nonsense We just need to have a proper federal system, with the states and LG having full fiscal autonomy and resource control. No more sharing money as monthly allocation. That will force us to move from consumption to production |
Simple demand and supply. We import practically everything plus we now also source FX for school fees and healthcare. What do you expect will happen? The governors and LG are totally useless. Not one state in the country has an industrial strategy or an end to end agriculture strategy. All they do is collect and share monthly allocation. The party has come to an end. Every level of govt in this country needs to focus on Production and not consumption, just like the Man said during the campaign |
As usual the discussions in Nigeria are filled with falsehoods. I don't like/support Tinubu, but the truth must always be said. Tinubu did NOT remove fuel subsidy, Buhari did. The allowance for payment of fuel subsidy in the current budget was only till June. I am not saying Tinubu did not support and endorse the policy, but it was originally conceived and put in place by Buhari. Buhari knew Nigeria could not afford subsidy, but he was too much of a coward to do it while he was in office, so he set the subsidy removal to kick in when the next govt was in office so they would face the heat. Buhari was the WORST thing to ever happen to Nigeria. |
So many states now have state police in all but name. It's time we took the next logical step and allowed states set up proper state police forces to compliment the National police. |
The Emir is not an illiterate, so he should know perfectly well why some offices of CBN have been moved to Lagos. Nowhere in the world are all the departments of a central bank in a single location. Why do we always look to bring ethnic sentiments into everything? |
onez:The Yoruba and Northern Muslims that voted for him, should be in the front of the protest |
Ayatullah:And the Israel will reply with something even worse than what they have done since October 8th. Nobody has a monopoly on terror as Isreal is showing. If the Palestinians have ANY sense in their heads, after this war, they should seek out Mandela like leaders who promote peace and co-existence, not useless jihad and violence. With such leaders they will be reach a sensible deal with Israel that will benefit both peoples. Failing that they can consign themselves to another 25 years of death and misery. |
OP, That must have been quite traumatic for you guys on the plane. |
EdiskyHarry:Very easy to believe. Did we not all see the campaigns? Why is anybody acting surprised now? Did Tinubu make a SINGLE sensible comment during the campaign? As usual Nigerians seem to think they can vote for incompetents based on primordial sentiments of tribe and religion, and somehow, those same incompetents will favour them. We are our own worst enemies |
Crucialgem:Your craze dey take sterioids! Countries develop by implementing sound economic and social polices and following the rule of law, not by prayer. Get your head out of the clouds and into the REAL world |
Many Yoruba's thought it would be 'business as usual' That it was now their turn to chop and clean mouth. What they did not understand was that Buhari and his goons have emptied the account over the last 8 years. There's nothing left. Even our oil for this year has already been sold. CBN can no longer lend money to govt. Everything don scatter scatter. That's what happens when the so called President has an attitude of 'Na Statistics we go chop' and educated people still go and vote for him. Anyway sha, na martial music me I dey wait for ![]() |
What did he do for children when he was a minister? |
2elliot:You are wise beyond your years. I simply don't understand why any Nigerian man under 40 would consider marriage. Spend your 20's and 30's building up wealth and enjoying a wide range of women.Get married in your 40s when you are established and can afford everything that goes with raising a family, without stress |
aswani:market woman that is fluent in their local tongue over a tested man that has graced the boardrooms of some of the largest companies in Nigeria? Truly Nigerians are the cause of their own problems So you would prefer a motor park tout or |
I am an Edo man, and my inital reaction was 'What nonsense is this?' However after watching the video, I must admit there are some interesting facts hat have been raised. I will definitly be looking to investigate this further. |
Wisdomclass1:If you are too dumb not to understand how Nigeria REALLY works go ahead and join any root. The North NEVER riot against their own . If Tinubu is brought down tomorrow, who do you think will replace him? The only protest I will support is one for total restructuring of this country. |
Big Fat No!! The North have NEVER joined any riot against a northern leader (1989 SAP riot, 1993/94 June 12 riots, 2021 End Sars). The North only know how to riot when it's against a southern president. I don't like Tinubu, I will NEVER support him, but I also will NEVER join any march against him, even though he and his SW people betrayed the SS. |
Useless judgement. So if government suddenly announces thar the price of rice is N20000, do you think any trader will actually sell at that price, if it costs them 40000 to import the rice? |
