I can't believe there are still people like the OP who think like this. If you are illegal in any European country, it'll take you MANY years to get yourself sorted out. There are people for example in the UK, that have been here for over 10 years and are still not settled.
You better bet is to send your wife over to somewhere like the UK that has a large Nigerian community. If she comes on a 6 month visitor visa, she can do childminding/hair dressing within the Nigerian community as long as she does not stay the whole 6 months (maybe does 4-5 months) she'll always get another visa. That way she can be earning the FX sending to you for the business. Hopefully she would only have to it once or twice to generate enough for your business to take off again.

I am yet to understand the role of the traditional rulers in the modern-day dispensation. Because the government still control them. The government can decide to pay them or not, the government appoints most of them and remove them at will, they follow the rules of the government.

Do people still regard them when they issue directives? Do people still have reverence for them? I remember the end sars period when the Igbos attacked the Oba in Lagos and took his staff.

Honestly it's time this money stopped going direct to the governors. There should be a Oil derivation fund for each state. Fund managers should include state govt officials, representatives from labour, traditional institutions etc. The projects executed by the funds in each state should be transparent to all. Right now the money is just vanishing in a corruption filled black hole
