Nairaland GeneralRe: How Was Your Day/Yesterday? by BlackMamba(m): 9:49pm On Oct 23, 2006
My day has been wonderful. Not for what I've done, but what I'm about to do. Tonight is the night and she just called to confirm her reservation for the night at my crib. I hope she lives up to the hype. grin
PoliticsRe: Why Is Nigeria Not Working? by BlackMamba(m): 3:08pm On Oct 23, 2006
Ignorance of their rights as citizens. Until common folks on the streets and villages become emboldened to demand accountability from government officials, Nigeria will continue to grope in the dark. Most Nigerians that find themselves in position of authority, including me, will be most inclined to misappropriate public funds, because (a) You can do it and get away with it and (b) if you don't do it, you'll be ostracized by your family and constituency, ie if you can survive shutting them out of pilfering government coffers.
Fellow Nigerians, it will take a combination of leaders that are ready to sacrifice everything, including their life, and sensitizing the population about their role in government.

Nairaland GeneralRe: How Was Your Day/Yesterday? by BlackMamba(m): 5:29pm On Oct 19, 2006
Not very good so far. I woke up late and got to work late. Thank God I don't punch in or sign a time card. But my mood has been screwed up. Meanwhile, a friend of mine left me a remittance instruction to use Western Union, rather than Moneygram to send him money, because according to him, it's been a while I "shake body for him last".
I think I'll just go to the bar around the corner and ingest some ethanol into my bloodstream. That should change my mood and help me salvage the rest of my day.
Christianity EtcRe: My Friend Is a Devoted Christian But Flirts Around by BlackMamba(m): 4:59pm On Oct 19, 2006
lafile:
u still havent explained what you mean by flirt. Flirt has different meanings especially in the Nigerian context. Do u mean he sleeps around?
The details may be too graphic for him. You don't want him to jeopardize his own chance of going to paradise trying to explain his friend's flirtatious acts. grin grin

RomanceRe: What Is Wrong With Dating Or Marrying An African American Man? by BlackMamba(m): 3:04am On Oct 18, 2006
There is nothing wrong with dating or marrying an AA man if you can connect with one that is focused to succeed in life. AA men do not engage in more bad acts than other races. A lot of them don't just give a damn about their actions and end up ruining their chances of succeeding in their hustle.
FamilyRe: Anambra And Imo Marriage by BlackMamba(m): 10:09pm On Oct 17, 2006
I have a problem marrying outside my village, because I don't want to travel more than 1km to do the wine-carrying and visit my in-laws. You see, you can always create a problem that will validate restricting yourself to a particular area. It worked for me. huh
TravelRe: Nigerians In Diaspora: Where Do You Want To Be Buried? by BlackMamba(m): 9:53pm On Oct 17, 2006
I'll prefer to be cremated and my ash scattered. I detest the sight of valuable real estate converted into useless cemetery, especially for the dead who don't give a f*ck wether they're buried in a mausoleum or left on the street to rot.
PoliticsRe: Poor Fayose by BlackMamba(m): 1:58am On Oct 17, 2006
Akolawole:
In Nigeria, if somebody sneezes it is OBJ.
OBJ never impose Ayo Fayose as the governor, please stop spreading the rumour.
If you sincerely do not know that in unitary Nigeria, nobody stays or goes without sanction from Aso Rock, then I'll pardon your ignorance.

I will have preferred a more African touch than this Arabic garb. We Africans have long been brainwashed by Christian and Islamic influences in our lives, but lets try to hold on to our indigenous culture, if we still have any left.
Dating And Meet-up ZoneRe: I Dont Love Woman Anymore Is It A Problem~ by BlackMamba(m): 12:53am On Oct 17, 2006
Don't smack anyone or you end up in jail. Try alternative lifestyles. Same sex or toys. The choice is yours.

BusinessRe: Financial Scandal In 'Consolidated' Bank (Afribank) by BlackMamba(m): 12:29am On Oct 17, 2006
You can't eliminate corrupt practices in a dynamic society. That's why enforcement mechanisms are put in place eg. EFCC. Unfortunately, they're busy running around as Obasanjo's political thugs. Until majority of Nigerians become sensitized to demand the rule of law, we shall continue to grope in the dark.

CelebritiesRe: Is Craig David's Father Nigerian? by BlackMamba(m): 8:44pm On Oct 13, 2006
He is the son of a half-Jewish white mother and a father from Grenada. Grenada is a Caribbean island. And like most Caribbean islands, they have a black population from back in the days of slavery.

PoliticsRe: Chief Judge Collects Bribe by BlackMamba(m): 2:06pm On Oct 12, 2006
If the kitchen cabinet in Aso Rock wants him gone, he's gone. Bribe or no bribe. That's the sad reality in Naija. We know who pulls the strings.

RomanceRe: Are Nigerians Shallow? by BlackMamba(m): 3:19am On Oct 11, 2006
You'll appreciate where most Naija is coming from if you grew up in Naija and your family has no access to government funds or into some shady business. The standard of living in developed countries allow you to make certain choices and withstand the social pressure.

PoliticsRe: Efcc Vs Enugu State - Who Is Justified? by BlackMamba(m): 4:55pm On Oct 09, 2006
Naija politics 101 will tell any smart person that Mr. Nnamani has glaring questions to answer on how he turned Enugu state into a private venture (Ebano INC). Despite obvious and overwhelming support of Aso Rock and his well crafted p.r moves, to confuse the uninformed, Nnamani is constantly in the forefront of EFCC investigations. That speaks volume of his sopposed "successes" in the state.
Those who continue to blow his horn should realize that the time to clean house is here and we will demand full accountability.

How did he beat the rap?
CultureRe: Inter-tribal Relationships by BlackMamba(m): 4:22pm On Oct 09, 2006
Status and class affinity usually neutralize any pressure that race/ethnicity may bring to a relationship. Love alone, often cannot withstand this pressure, especially in Naija.
LiteratureRe: Do Nigerians Read? by BlackMamba(m): 5:54pm On Oct 07, 2006
@Orikinla
Please don't fault anyone for their choice of reading. The economy is to blame for Longman, Macmillan etc, rather than people's taste in reading.
RomanceRe: How Can A Ugly Boy Attract A Nice/beautiful Girl? by BlackMamba(m): 5:38pm On Oct 07, 2006
Cash money! You don't have to say a word and they'll flock like bees.
If you're financially challenged, then you'll need supreme confidence in yourself, even if in reality you're bleeped up. With confidence, you can get a lot of girls by being yourself or projecting a fake image. Choose the method you can deliver with the most confidence.
