myndofgold:
beautiful pics, but u for try give the "real" LA. Start from carson to inglewood to long beach and end in compton, so that all these people that want to come to LA will knw wht they might be up against if they ever get lost in the middle of the hood.  grin
Thanks.

I have family who live in Carson, and it's not the hood. The "real L.A." isn't run-down and crime infested, but is a mix of many areas of different socio-economic backgrounds. Finding images of the not-so-nice areas of L.A. aren't easy to come by, but I'll post some. cool

PoliticsRe: Will Nigeria Ever Split Up Into Seperate Nations? by blackspade(m): 11:15pm On Nov 07, 2008
ezeagu:
Well separating helped for all those Eastern European countries, and European countries are usually based on ethnicity (E.g Germany's language is German, England's language is English, Serbia's language is Serbian, what's Nigeria's language? Nigerian?) and the people in country were usually the ones who actually that put their borders together.
If you're suggesting Nigeria should be split because of ethnic and language barriers, then I must say you shouldn't be so ignorant on the issue.

There are so many more examples to counter your suggestion that Nigeria's split is imminent because of ethnic/language barriers. South Africa is a nation of numerous ethnicities, and languages, and they're still intact. Matter of fact, they have 11 Official Languages (Afrikaans, English, Southern Ndebele, Northern Sotho, Southern Sotho, Swazi, Tsonga, Tswana, Venda, Xhosa and Zulu), and many different ethnicities that make up that nation, and they're still intact. Other good examples are: The United States, Belgium, Canada, and Switzerland. These nations are all made up of numerous ethnicities, have more than one official language, and are still united.

You saying Nigeria should split along language/ethnic lines is absurd, and is more of an excuse than a reason to say Nigeria should split in my opinion.

PoliticsRe: Will Nigeria Ever Split Up Into Seperate Nations? by blackspade(m): 8:05pm On Nov 07, 2008
How many times does this topic have to appear?

Replying to the OP, no, hopefully Nigeria doesn't split. Dividing this great nation is not the solution to our problems. Look at all the others countries who have had problems in their early years of existence (ie. United States, Spain). Nigeria is not even 50 years old, and we have our own people wanting to split us up. This nation has tremendous potential, and dividing the nation wouldn't solve anything but satisfy the many tribalists who think other tribes are holding them down.

We are all Nigerian, forget the tribal divisions, when we go abroad, what are we? The answer is Nigerian. When someone of this country becomes one of the wealthiest persons in the world, what are they? The answer is Nigerian. When a consortium bids to buy a football club overseas, what are they? The answer is Nigerian.

Nigeria Forever.

@ poster, you are wrong.

If you're suggesting America will fall because you think Obama is inexperienced, then you are flat out wrong. The man has extensive knowledge in foreign policy, and has the right judgment and temperament to be in that position. His Vice President Joe Biden is an expert in foreign policy also, so please don't underestimate the still forming Obama administration. This is just the beginning, give the man a chance.

Foreign AffairsRe: Obama Becomes the 44th American President: Anything For The Black Nations? by blackspade(m): 8:32am On Nov 05, 2008
Along with lowering trade tariffs between African and America, I think he should increase the numbers of refugees they let in, and create an "economic refugees" option, where people from extremely poor nations (<$1,500) can apply for refugee status, along with people who come from war-torn nations. So many of our people would be able to grasp the opportunity available in America.

I couldn't agree more. I could stand a McCain presidency, but with Palin on the ticket, along with McCains health history, that crazy witch would destroy this nation with her extreme far right views. She is truly Bush in a Skirt. lipsrsealed
