Which one should i go for
1.Infinix Zero(16+2)
2.Innjoo i2s
3.Innjoo Note
4.Gionee M2
I think spec wise, the infinix zero is the best, i don't know about the innjoo note though

@4llerbuntu...funny id....u seem 2 be an experience linux user..i want to know wat will happen wen i switch my interface lets say xfce to gnome or others.. will my apps still be ok...

i have been 2 lazy dis days 2 setup another virtual machine... ve bin busy wit hardware stuffs..
well nothing will happen to your apps, though you may need to figure out where to find what app you want to use, depending on what window manager you're switching between. xfce, mate and kde have the traditional start menu, so does the fallback version of gnome3 (if it still exists - I haven't used it for a while) . Anyway even if you're switching to or from gnome3 or unity I don't think you should have too much of a hard time figuring things out, and worst case scenario, you can always switch back to the wm you're familiar with

Bros, use minus sign instead of the plus you adopted; total space-total available=0.02(default apps)
oh my mistake, i actually assumed it was total space used, sorry about the mixup, but one question, when you check phone storage under settings is that the same value you get?
I know some phone vendors would say a thing like 8gb ( 4gb user-accessible), just wondering if that's what's happening in your case
for example, in my tecno p5, the specs say the internal memory is 4gb, if i check phone storage under settings, i get roughly about that value but my file manager shows 1gb as phone storage, but usually most phone manufacturers reserve about 4gb inaccessible storage for os functions

well there's always DSL.But you will need to become a sensei to the guy sha
DSL? damn small? is that distro still alive?

@4llerbe just bite the bullet, put xubuntu - even if it's 14.04, add kingsoft office

The distros got heavier I guess, i remember the days when you could get puppy Linux under 100mb, i seriously doubt that is possible now

I guess you did not add that of SD. The phone memory indicates "Total space :3.17GB , Available :3.15 GB, check very well.
3.17+3.15=6.32 > 6gb which is what I said. And that's for the internal memory, there was no mention of sdcard capacity

Dear tweetum, what you said is an understatement. I started using in mobile phones 2003 and the worst phone I have ever bought is innjoo brand(from Jumia), I will do comprehensive report soon when I am done with job at hand. The innjoo i2 they touted to be 8gb internal memory is actually less than 4GB(see attached), the FI they claim to be 4GB internal memory is less than 1 GB. When you receive call via the phone , from the very first second, the heat from the ear piece can peel your skin if you speak for up to 30 nminutes. I do not know the roles NCC play.

May God help Nigerians !
looking at the picture you posted, it seems to me the internal memoy is a bit over 6gb, it;'s the sdcard that's < 4gb; they didn't lie about that
PhonesRe: Wiko Phones Launched In Nigeria (Pictures) by blackweaver(m): 1:27pm On Oct 27, 2014
saw the phones at slot the other day, you can find more information at the slot website too.
I think my biggest issue with these phones is the 4gb of internal memory.
Apparently they sell their phones in various markets in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
The Wiko Bloom and WIko Rainbow seem pretty sensible for their prices (not quite as sensible as the Infinix Zero maybe, but pretty close )

@4llerbe you, kde? I'm surprised, always thought you didn't think much of it. As per the pinguy I tried it once too, wasn't impressed. I think for the near future not really into trying unknown distros anymore. Maybe I've gotten lazy.

oh I for one intend to try kunbuntu 14.10, I've been hearing about the new features of kde 5, I think now is as good a time as any to try it out, not getting rid of my xubuntu 14.04 though - especially since I hear it's a bit glitchy

Apparently they just jump in with their questions without bothering to read previous posts guessing that someone will still give attention to it.
If only there a way to make a sticky note on the first first page so one could just direct them to it, or maybe a sticky thread with solutions to commonly asked questions (readonly of course). Maybe that will help; a lot of these people don't seem to know how to search

TheAlchemist:
yep i own an asus transformer netbook t100 simply amazing, when i want to feel like an ipad owner i simply undock the screen from the keyboard and it becomes a tablet, when i want to use it a netbook simply dock the screen to the keyboard... anybody wanting value for money should get this netbook.
how is the battery life like? If you can use it 12 hours continuously then you definitely don't need a tablet, that's the other advantage of tablets over traditional notebooks/netbooks - battery life
PhonesRe: Why Buying An Andriod Tablet Or An Ipad Is Just A Waste Of Money! by blackweaver(m): 7:30am On Oct 03, 2014
Ochillary: If am ever going to buy a tab its going to be for gaming purpose.. Big screen + the battery
thank you joo, too many people try to use their tablet as a phone replacement , meanwhile it was meant to compete with netbooks not phones. The original iPad didn't even come with a mobile network and till today if I buy a tablet for myself it has to be Wi-Fi only
I use my tablet for browsing at home, watching movies , playing HD games (plants vs zombies is more fun on a tablet ), and reading - especially comics. Those who say tablets don't perform any particular function obviously don't read comics (unless they have phablets)

I don't know about AF+firewall, but you can get NoRoot firewall, and it doesn't require rooting. The only thing is you have to activate it every time your phone starts up

LordReed: The fallacy of fan boyism. I just knew this would happen, all that noise of 4in being the perfect size, now there is a 4.7in iPhone suddenly big phones can be used one handed. Sheesh!
One thing i have to respect them about, they don't just make noise, they actually put their money where their mouth is unlike some other fans who will talk about how much their os is better than other oses but have few sales to show

you have cwm? if so do a rom backup first, that way if you have any issues or decide you don't want to continue, you can restore to what your phone was befire you started.

If you have titanium backup i recommend that you backup your apps and data too first before installing this rom

that link doesn't have bugs, did you follow the instructions properly? I also had issues the first time I tried installing it because I missed a couple of steps. Steps 1&2 alone aren't enough, you have to do steps 3&4 too for it to work

TravelRe: Top 6 Highest Skyscrappers(Buildings) In Nigeria.(pictures) by blackweaver(m): 6:26pm On Sep 08, 2014
Chigold101: The term skyscraper originally applied to
buildings of 10 to 20 stories... why did it change from this and become... The optiumum size for a
skyscraper is between 50 and 60 stories...
what made it to change? sometimes it is funny sha.
if the person that "invented" the name did that for 10 story building, i dont see how and why we wont call our high rising buildings here in Nigeria skyscraper.
Although i don't have any source to verify, I think the change came about because of the relative height of the buildings to other buildings, e.g. when the term skyscraper was coined those buildings were the tallest that could be found in the area. However since then there have been so many more buildings taller than that height that it makes no sense to continue calling 10-storey buildings skyscrapers. If in the near future 30-40% of tall buildings are over 100 stories for example, there won't be any point calling a 60-storey building a skyscraper.

ok from the definition in Wikipedia A relatively small building may be considered a skyscraper if it protrudes well above its built environment and changes the overall skyline.

In that note we CAN call those buildings skyscrapers since they are the tallest buildings and change the skyline.

Even Wikipedia lists these buildings as skyscrapers (search List_of_tallest_buildings_in_Nigeria)

of course in more developed countries these buildings would not qualify as skyscrapers but locally i think the term still applies
TravelRe: Top 6 Highest Skyscrappers(Buildings) In Nigeria.(pictures) by blackweaver(m): 4:49am On Sep 08, 2014
timilehing: Hmmmm booked. lemme now comnent

A Skyscraper without glass exterior?? The glass exterior is what made them skyscrapers not height

These buildings are no skyscrapers, they are just tall building/towers.
you know, i did a google search to verify your comment, and the first few results I checked said it was about height, and while Wikipedia talked about glass exterior, it wasn't stated as a criteria for being termed a skyscraper. Maybe you're an architect and have a different definition, but for those of us non-architects, i think we'll stick with general non architectural dictionary definitions
