Hier, I would have love to quote you phrase by phrase but I can't. All the same MuttleyLaff have done justice to it.

Let me give an illustration. I am Igbo by flesh, if through the Spirit of the Lord I am able to prophecy or give a word of knowledge in Hausa language(tongue). Surely my understanding will be unfruitful because I myself do not understand Hausa but those whom my prophecy is directed to will.

The gift of speaking in tongues(languages) and its interpretation thrives where there is language barrier.

Hier I have some Chinese guys around me. Whenever they begin to communicate in their tongue, it becomes an unknown tongue to me because I do not understand them.

Whatever I do not understand is a mystery to me.

Our destiny is first and foremost in God's and also in our hands. God and man are partners in this. Work out your own salvation for it is God who is at work in you.

Think of it like this, God is the Vine while we are the branches. Our job is to abide in Him through trust. You can limit the life and nourishment of God your Vine through lack of trust and thereby endangering your destiny.

Johnw47, which part of Isaiah's prophecy is Matthew referring to in his epistle(Matthew 8:14-17)?

Just in case. Isaiah 53:3-4 (Holman Christian standard) He was despised and rejected by men a man of suffering who knew what SICKNESS was. He was like one people turned away from; He was despised, and we didn't value Him. Yet He Himself bore our sSICKNESSES, and carried our pains; but we in turn regarded Him stricken,struck down by God and afflicted.

Note: you said He bored only our sins and not also our sicknesses. Who is now lying between me and you?

Matthew 8:16-17
When the even was come they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying Himself took our infirmities and bare our sicknesses. Amen!

Matthew clearly linked the physical healing Jesus performed as the fulfillment of Isaiah's prophecy. I don't know about you but as for me I believe that by His stripes(wounds) I am healed spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally.

This has been working for me, since I discovered this truth. John try harder.

Maybe someone will come and tell us that it is spiritual disease and not physical disease again. It is not hard for them. Don't let anybody deceive you, the Lord is more than willing to heal you physically. The devil is roaming about seeking for whom to deceive.

I usually liken the Holy Spirit to an incubator. He is the One that incubate on the word of God. The Holy Spirit was present in the beginning(Gen 1:2), but until God spoke words He had nothing to incubate upon.

When God said, "let there light" the Holy Ghost acted on it and brought forth light. Halleluyah! This is why the word of God is important, for without the word there will be nothing for the Spirit of God to work with.

What has God said concerning you and your situation? Find it out and hold on to it in your heart and mouth. The Spirit of God will surely broad over it to bring it to pass. Amen! For example, are you sick? The word said, "by his stripes we are made well" (Isaiah53:5).

Hold on to this truth dilligently and watch the Spirit of God bringing it to pass in you. Amen!

Sir, how did you stop speaking in that glossomania called tongue? For me, it took me a while to stop it through the help of the Spirit. I had to retrain my mind to stop, when I got the revelation personally.

I was a pro in speaking in the fake tongue.

yeah.I personally av given up in the argument and ain't going any further. Tongue is a wonderful gift, so many Christians have this gift but despise it not knowing it is what launches us into a greater dimension of the supernatural. I don't think anyone that doesn't speak in tongues often can manifest the gifts of the spirit effectively. Its one of the greatest gift to a believer for personal communion. We can share helpful materials for the benefit of other people who believe in this gift. Oral Robert, ken hagin,Benny hin etc have materials on this topic

Yeah speaking in tongue (other human language you are not familiar with)is a wonderful gift, not the kind we practice today.

It is a toxic relationship built on lies, not a marriage. She did the right thing, nobody deserves to be chained to a dubious situation entered under false pretense.

How will you feel if someone comes into your life just for what you have and can offer? The person do not value you, neither does he/she loves you. He is just in your life for the money. I am sure you will not be satisfied with it.

But this is how we all treat and view God. We seek Him for prosperity and not because we love Him and value Him. Some seek Him for husband, wife, miracles, healing, provision and so much more. They do not value him but they value what he offers and can do. God onces told me during my meditative moment that miracles are the by product(fruits) of a love relationship with Him. Do you want a life of miracles? Then get yourself acquinted with the Lord, let his word dwell in you richly and be your word as well.

Don't build your love for God on physical material things. Follow God with a perfect heart and all this things will be added unto you. Get rid of that selfish mentality and it shall be well with you.

Seek God for who He is and not because of what He has and can do.
