Guy, are you ok at all Was the Prof the first person to be assassinated in Nigeria this year? Are you also implying that all the Muslims killed in the North this year were murdered by Northern christians? You better watch it, so that people don't start regarding you as the new resident evil. I am sure that you are very happy to hear this kind of terrible news because you derive perverse pleasure in using the opportunity to prance from one thread to another, stoking embers of hatred. No doubt, you are one of those who die many times before their death. Go get a life before it's too late!

@topic, i am hoping against hope that the police can quickly bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice. The government should also consider providing 'special security' for academics.

What makes you think he didn't advise the government earlier? He is only an adviser to the FG, he can't enforce. Seriously, what sort of government is this? The other day (just three weeks to the end of the year), they sought the approval of the NASS to spend a whopping N161 billion on unsettled subsidy claims . Someone really wants to "bankrupt Nigeria"!

JaaizTech: I am a Muslim too, and this is exactly where I stand; Northerners find it so difficult to see how much they have wronged themselves and others. I don't know if it is arrogance, or lack of exposure or because for decades they have been in power and have always looked at themselves from within themselves. They are just damn too blind to see, and perhaps too arrogant to accept the truth as it is. Boko-Haram is not Islam, ideology of Boko-Haram is anti-Islam, Boko-Haram has its origins in the north, it flourishes in the north because of the failure of the past leaders to help her people develop. This is the plain truth, accept and look for a way to solve the problem, that's the approach i expect from the north, not to remain in denial. There are obvious instances that a group people (Christians) would have done some things to malign or harm Islam and the North, just the same way there have been instances a group of people (Muslims) have done things to malign or harm christians and the south; these issues would always exist, the onus is on us to prepare ourselves for the challenges, to develop the North, to develop her people, most importantly. It is nobody's fault that the North is so poorly educated and wallowing in immense poverty, it is nobody's fault but the Fault of the Northern leaders themselves
