Redhot111: It got 2 dis only because d government n muslim leaders refused 2 sincerely do sumtin abt it. As a christian i wld say is not justified in anyway. But d killing of christians has bin taken as a normal tin 4 2 long, hence dis reprisal attack. Shame on d muslim leaders n d government dat has bin silent 4 so long n i sincerely pray dat God should step in n take countrol. When Muslim leaders who spoke against this evil group were murdered in cold blood, what did the government do? And you, did you as much as spare a thought for their bereaved families? |
Ayee Idris: I don't have a problem with anyone defending themselves, but pulling people out of their cars and slaughtering them can never be Justified. The bokoharam don't care if muslims are being killed, they have been killing muslims and christains without discrimination. We should join hands and hunt down the animals called Boko Haram. We need to seperate sha before it bEcomes too late. You took these words right out of my mouth. What sort of self-defence is that. |
Even if na pdp sef, why e be say na only the muslims dey do the bombing, them tell u say christains no sabi wetin be bomb, abi we no sabi use am. Na the xtrian we dey north i dey pity for. If i were in north i would have form my own 'crusaders' then we would tell the north that we still have knights in the church who are still ready to defend the church. What nonesense!!![/quote Be sure that you have the cover of the PDP/FG before you do that. |
Reference: Oga it is called reality not diversion. When I say you have to solve the structural problem of Nigeria before you can even dream Sweden it appears we are talking bull. |
PDP, THE RESIDENT EVIL. |
It is amazing that some Nigerians expect anything positive to come out of today's sitting of the House of Representathieves. Do we expect them to castigate Farouk, expel him from the House, and hand him over to the |
kaysy: This should be signed into law with immediate effect!Well, that's a topic for another day. But i affirm that as far as Nigeria is concerned, we are yet to see the benefits (if any) of the bi-cameral legislature. It is unwieldy and a drain on our traumatised treasury. |
jaw jaw: The Chinese with a population that is more than 6 times Nigeria's and an economy over 20 times bigger (which means a larger potential to be corrupt and also not be caught) realized it decades ago that corruption had to be killed at all cost.I hope so too, but how will this hope translate to reality when the National Assembly whose duty it is to make such laws, is itself a bastion of corruption? Now i understand why that Lagos guy threatened to send them a nuclear warhead. Imagine the damage they are doing to our collective psyche and heritage. |
niddamugu: If we must move forward - YESIndeed. It is very clear that a great number of people would rather we perpetuate ourselves at this stage of arrested development. I am beginning to think that, like smacking a hysteric person in order to bring him back to his senses, Nigeria needs a shock treatment to restore her equilibrium. |
juman: One nigeria is craziness. You are entitled to your opinion. For now though, we must accept that we have no other country and must bring up new ideas to fight this hydra-headed monster called corruption. I look back few years ago and see Tafa Balogun sentenced to only 6 months imprisonment, and i shake my head in disgust. We really need the death penalty for this crime. |
With the alarming number of reports of sleaze, fraud and outright theft coming out of high places on a daily basis, shouldn't we just adopt the Chinese model by wiping culprits out of the face of the earth? If convicted armed robbers can be sentenced to death by hanging, i see no logic in sparing the lives of pen robbers, whose imbecilic greed emasculates and endangers the entire populace. We must get harsher on these criminals. Or what do nairalanders think? |
fellis: [Thank you brother, for making time out to educate the bigot who i am sure, smiles gleefuly when terrible things like this happen so that they can push forth such rubbish. |
teskyg: yeah. And some Northern Idiots called Elders went to Aso Rock and the only message they passed to GEJ was Extra Judicial murder by JTF.Listen to your bigoted self. Was the slain retired DIG a christian? |
Demdem: put yourself in his shoes.I see. In that case, kicking the PDP out of power should be the foremost priority of every Nigerian, if we are to negotiate our way out of our country's arrested development. |
hubreality: Tribalism and religious fanaticism, and crisis are even worst than clamored corruption. That's why we don't need twisted hatred and dictatorship over democracy. Gen Buhari has long lost value for human lives whether corruption or not following his sentimental incitement to killings of innocent people post election. Is that so? Why hasn't the government brought him to justice uptill now? |
Buhari is offering to assist the FG to fight corruption, albeit with a condition: all corrupt persons must be made to face the law. What is Jonathan waiting for ![]() |
mike404: People don"t seem to understand what this whole boko haram imbroglio is all about. the bitter truth is that this whole escalation of the boko haram scourge is directly related to the results of the 2011 presidential elections. the conservative northern elite have analyzed the voting pattern and discovered the unfolding scenario of nigeria"s political reality. they northern leaders seem to have reached the conclusion that the votes president jonathan got from the northern part of nigeria to roundly beat the northern candidates came largely from christian votes resident in the north. they seem to have concluded that henceforth, southern candidates who are mostly christians, can get the statutory geographical spread to win future presidential elections with or without the support of the conservative northern political elite. they see this as a potential end to their stranglehold on nigeria"s political, and economic life wire. so they seem to have decided to take decisive action to remedy the situation.these escalations by boko haram are not primarily to make nigeria ungovernable for president jonathan. the devious plan seems to be a decimation of the christian population in such a way that by 2015 when national elections will hold again, the emerging pool of northern christian votes would have been neutralized. the boko haram attacks are directed at achieving the following aims. first, the persistent attacks against christians, and churches will have a direct impact on christian evangelism and church growth. this will result in a halt in the growth of the christian population in the north. secondly, the incessant attacks which have heightened insecurity in the north will make southern christians resident up north to take flight and relocate from the north to the south. thirdly , christiansIf all that garbage you spewed above were facts, do you think the PDP-led administration would have spared Buhari? Your rat-infested brain is wrecking a lot of havoc. See the shrink soon. |
Kogi State, no doubt. Lokoja the capital, is a glorified refugee camp. You can imagine what other parts of the state look like. Zero growth, zero development. Maximum graft, maximum docility. |
I have quite a number of igbo friends and colleagues. They (and i believe, most other igbo people) are infinitely more refined than some of those violently advocating for Biafra here. You don't sway people with gutter language; you sway them with powerful argument and sound logic! |
I understand that it used to be Onitsha (during the regime of Mbadinuju), where gangsters, dare-devil armed robbers, politcal assasins & thugs, advance fee fraudsters, ritualists, rapists, vigilantes-turned murderers, fake/adulterated drug merchants and myriad other criminals held sway and made the city a hell-hole for residents and guests alike. Recently, on my way to Owerri, i passed through Onitsha and some of my co-passengers remarked that visitors whose business in the city extended to dusk, usually passed the night in Asaba for fear of the unknown. Some locals i know insist however that law and order now prevails there. Do you agree/disagree? What are Nigeria's current crime havens? |
Spirit of Okija: GOOd move GEJ!!Your hate for Buhari has seared the left side of your brain! Unreasonable hate induces HBP. Watch it. |
The missile against Gabon at Tunisia '94 no doubt, but most of his goals were truely spectacular. Our present strikers must be wondering how he did all that. |
Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un. I am still trying to recover from the shock of the news of the death of this legend. Yeking/Gangling/Goalsfather, RIP. May Allah have mercy on his soul, amin. |
@nagoma, you've done well to explain the situation in the best way possible. You've done really well. Unfortunately, there are people who will always insist on calling a blue sky red no matter what. Don't lose sleep over them as the perilious times we are in now may have pulverized their reasoning ability beyond redemption. We just wonder how much more blood will be shed before the government exposes the sponsors of these murderers. What exactly do those guys in Aso Rock discuss everyday? |
toba: since these folks acknowledges themselves as muslims and have the devilish act of not forgiving an offense that's 10 years old, then i think Islam is a religion for evil pple, murderers and terrorists.Your thought process is not much different from that of the terrorists whose evil deeds you find it convenient to tar the entire Muslims with. So because an isolated group kills and maims in the name of Islam, you conclude gleefully that they are Muslims and rush in an undignified manner to spew such rubbish? Should it then be appropriate for me to say that Christianity is an evil religion on account of the number of Christians caught in Muslim robes trying to burn up churches? Or that Christianity encourages murder on account of the mass murder of 77 persons by a Norwegian who claims to be a member of the Knight Templars, working hard to rid Europe of Muslims? You are better of directing your energy to calling on the President to unmask the sponsors of this terrorists without further ado. Or have you forgotten that he said he knew them? |
The earlier we begin to realise that PDP is the cancer eating up the nation and we are going no where near development with it at the helms of power, the better for us all. |
You know, self esteem issue is the problem of people like you. You people look and sound pathetic acting a f00l over teams thousands of kilometer away from you and who would still give two 4ucks about some third world wanna bees who add zero value to their worth and income but would choke themselves to death over some stüpid football club affiliations. No wonder Europeans and South Americans always take away all the trophies in competitions because they know how to support theirs and build up their local teams while you clowns always show up to fill out team numbers. Pathetic. People who expect to grow but cannot put an atom of work into it. Funny people.
The question is: what are you doing here? |
A very heart-wrenching and touching story. @Afdman, you are THE MAN and your wife is THE WOMAN. Please be strong for your family. Wishing your wife a quick recovery. Allah knows best. |
