Aufbauh: These Obi people ehnnn.....very naïve and ludicrous in their inclination.
They'll be taught the bitter political lesson come 25th of February.
They've refused to accept that all politics is local. So you can't impose ur worries in Abia on Benue people. What you think it's a national outcry in ur locality may not matters or could easily be rationalize by another locality.
The LP and their supporters lack the basic understanding of local skills politics. This is where the legacy parties will hit them hard.
We have an election to attend to first.
After that, we can come back to respond to all archived trashy comments
APC and PDP go don deh say which kind problem be this!
Meanwhile shebi Tinubu and Shettima been roll out NairaTaxi free taxi abeg weh the thing deh now Ndi ala…
The normal lackadaisical non-challant behaviour of an average “give-me-free-money” Nigerian had affected the project. (Zero-Continuity and Zero-Manitenance Culture) .. .. Peter Obi will definitely work to reduce all these non-productive behaviours and cultures from our existence and mindsets as “a people”.
That's Politics of Hatred. Like, the hatred was clearly spelt out in bold characters.
Let's dissect and analyse the whole scenario.. 1. The venue of the fracas was supposed to be around the same ground where PDP had their campaign. 2. The convoy of the PDP Governorship Candidate was directly attacked. 3. Guns were later deployed and used in the same fracas, and people were killed. 4. The identities of all those that “started the fracas near the PDP Campaign ground against the PDP Members” were not known yet. 5. The identities of the shooters (and gun wielders -- especially those who were caught on camera) were not known yet. 6. Investigations are still ongoing. 7. Governor Sanwo-Olu had already blamed PDP for the whole fracas,, and painted them in bad light, and taken decisions not to be found anywhere near them. 8. That accusation and conclusion by the Governor was rather too quick.
If the Lagos State PDP are so weak and docile, then, they can remain quiet and accept such accusations and stomach it fully, and let the whole of Nigeria see them as the ones who caused the fracas (even while investigations are yet to be concluded). If at-least they cared about their name and their reputation (and that is, if they are very sure that they were falsely accused, and that they can establish and prove it), then they should be heading to the court already.
reddingtonblack: If you need a translation simply ask ideas, innovations/invention are meant to be shared and put to use cos its lifespan starts with productivity/utility.
Moreover, even the App is yet to kick start ... the true test of any idea or initiative is in the end use, Great leap doesnt start with coping what is in existence rather it is by setting a record no one as set. should the App yield a success ratings maybe then you can ascribe his step to a great leap
Agreed, some of the grassroots use smartphones, but did you consider the fact that majority of the grassroots aint internet/social media savvy time will tell
Now you're beginning to go OFF-POINT..
(Most New Inventions are based on improving the existing earlier inventions)
reddingtonblack: i can't say peter obi copied Nig. govt becos Nig govt also copied the intiative from developed countries,therefore the credit must go to the develop world, moreover the E-pp wasnt successful here
Putting the cart before the horse is counterproductive, Peter Obi is dreaming to be president of nigeria not the president of SUG therefore is targeted audience should encompass the general public, there are people who don't use andriod or iphone. already i see the grassroot are left out ope o!
My point since morning is the initiative is exclusively suitable for government not political parties.
So i trust APC won't copy such, thanks to Asiwaju outburst Buhari is reacting
You just ended up saying that Innovative Technology is not supposed to be applied across every sphere of human existence and activities,, but Peter-Obi dared to apply in into party activities.. That's A Great Leap.
You also tried to imply that Innovative Technology is not meant for the grassroots. But that was a very faulty assumption. The grassroots use smartphones too. Don't discriminate anybody.
reddingtonblack: what OBi replicated is called E-participation portal used in developed countries by a real government, which is beneficial to the people cos the govt has the capacity to solve problems and attend to the need of its people.
I picked three important things from this paragraph alone.
1. You're saying that Peter Obi knows how to see good things and go for it, and replicate it properly too.
2. I know that on the 21st of May 2018, the Nigeria Government (Under Buhari) tried to replicate this same E-PP (https://www.osgf.gov.ng/news-media/news/post/sgf-launches-citizen-government-engagement-platform).. They copied the same thing Peter-Obi copied, but they pasted wrongly.. Nevertheless, I am trying to let you know that you don't regard the efforts of the Nigerian Government in any good light.. The Nigerian Government also did the E-PP too, so you should be saying that Peter-obi copied the “Nigerian Government’s E-PP”, but just look up there and see what you wrote about how an E-PP developed by “a real government” should be like, which is exactly NOT what our Nigerian E-PP represents.
3. You're also saying that Peter-Obi has the capacity to solve problems, and to attend to the needs of the people.
Tareq1105: Are you referring to the same Obi that said he doesn't do Internet Banking and doesn't have ATM card? That was his response to the issue on fraudulent youths defrauding innocent Nigerians. He said no one can wipe off his account bcoz he doesn't do Internet Banking and he doesn't have ATM card so if anything happens to his account he would walk to the manager and demand refund. He's archaic, a serial liar and pretender.
We all heard him say that on national TV interview and it was debated on nairaland platform here even though somt obi-idiots would soon deny it.
Your Obi doesn't know anything about computer even the way he presses his phone in the public attest to that. I've seen him touching his phone severally in the public. I'm sure one obidient did this for him.
“Inclusive Inclusion”..
Repeat the statement above many times. YESS .. It is called Inclusion.
The time someone developed the NAIRAXI TAXI Mobile-App for Tinubu-Shettima,, we applauded Tinubu and Shettima on that one, at-least for giving the developers the opportunity. And they counted that as being technologically innovative.
reddingtonblack: Peter Obi didn't innovate anything, he only stole the E-participation portal initiative used by Government in developed countries... there is nothing commendable about a APP that was created for selfish reasons. if I am supporting Obi I don't see how the App will benefit me in anyway, Will Peter Obi lie he does not have 1st hand experience of major problems savaging the country.
WE wish him the best with the APP, but we no dey copy nonsense
You earlier said in the other comment, that other developed democratic countries are not using mobile-apps in their campaigns.. (That means, you're trying to say that it is happening first in Nigeria, and that we didn't copy anybody here.) Now you turned around and started saying something about “Copying Nonsense”. Where again is the “Copy” here again naa..??
Quit the hatred my brother. It's making you sound so ridiculous.
reddingtonblack: Even In the US that is father of all democracy, there is no such things aa Party app.
Everything that involves the party and electorates must be done in the open to foster transparency, fairness and credible electoral process.
There is nothing good Peter Obi possibly want to say to his supporters that he can't say on Arisetv or youtube, and we have bloggers that will spread it. So what is the benefit of the APP if not to fetch people details. Goodluck
There is a “First Time” to Everything.. (That is,, including granting tv-interviews and political rallies too.)
We must not always copy others..
You're actually saying that Peter-obi Invented the use of “Innovative Technology” and Mobile-Apps . Is that it.??
SOME LECTURES ON “E-PARTICIPATION” IN GOVERNANCE.. (A CASE STUDY OF NIGERIA)......
Our dear country (Nigeria) had once ranked better scores between the years 2012 and 2014 in the United-Nations-Ranking of “E-Participation of Citizens in Governance” for the 193 countries that were ranked.
And again, Buhari tried to develop an E-Participation Portal in 2018, Yet Nigeria still didn't rank well in the UN-Ranking, even up till 2022. The E-Participation Portal even had to be shut down after some few years. Nevertheless,, Citizens E-Participation in Governance, (==>> full meaning: “Electronic-Participation”), is a method of Governance where the Government engages and interact directly with the people, so frequently, and very often through a lot of varied electronic means (including social media, and SMS text messages too), and at the same time, be getting direct feedbacks from the people, rather than from Government institutions.
On Monday, the 21st of May 2018, the FG officially launched the redesigned and upgraded website of the “Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), and part of the main features of the new website “was” the “E-Participation”-button which was working at that time it was launched, but the E-Participation Portal stopped working after just ONE YEAR. As at then -- just before the portal stopped working -- there were only 982 Participants on the Portal (out of the over 200million Nigerians)
Nobody knew the exact reason why the E-Participation Portal was shut down, even though the “E-Participation”-button is still currently there present in the official website of the OSGF. READ MORE ABOUT THE E-PARTICIPATION BELOW.
SGF LAUNCHES CITIZEN TO GOVERNMENT PLATFORM
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha on Monday 21st May 2018 officially launched the redesigned and upgraded OSGF website, http://www.osgf.gov.ng/ with a charge to web managers of Government websites to ensure that the contents are continually updated and kept up to date.
He reiterated the commitment of the Federal Government to the full operation of the Freedom of Information Act to engender transparency, openness, engagement, and popular participation of the citizens in the governance process.
He emphasised that a major achievement in the redesign project was the introduction of the e-Participation platform for citizen’s participation and engagement in governance, which has been integrated with the website. The portal will allow citizens carry out the following:
1. Request for information from Government;
2. Submit an idea to Government;
3. Lodge complaints to Government;
4. Respond to Government;
5. Report issues to Government; and
6. Give compliments to Government.
He stated that the new website was in keeping with the need to lead Ministries Departments and Agencies’ (MDAs) compliance with the dictates of Executive Order 001 on the Ease of doing Business, particularly relating to the directive for MDAs to host a functional website. He stressed that the functions and responsibilities of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation made it imperative for it to have a functional website that would deliver information about the structure, policy thrust and activities of the administration on a daily basis.
Q: What is e-Participation. The Nigerian Government, in recognition of the need to evolve itself through reforms and modernization of its processes using information and communication technology, otherwise known as electronic government has designed an e-Participation system which will provide a platform for Government to interface with the Nigerian public through SMS using GSM phones for the purpose of monitoring or tracking the implementation of government projects.
Q: Objective of the E-Participation System The e-Participation System provides a platform for government to interface with the people through SMS on GSM phones and through internet facilities. It enables the government to monitor progress on ongoing and completed projects since images and other information on such projects can be forwarded through SMS and the internet. It also provides a means for the government to receive feedback from the public on both completed and ongoing projects.
Q: Benefits to Grass Roots/ Citizens:
1. Participate in monitoring of Federal Government Projects in their locality,
2. Serve as sources of accurate feedback to government with pictures to support their view about any project,
3. Directly communicate with the Government through SMS and Internet services,
4. Voice their opinion to the Government and be heard,
5. Get to know list of all Federal government projects located within a locality, and
6. Suggest any developmental project need of a locality directly to the Federal Government.
Q: Benefits to Government:
1. Have a means of getting direct feedback on projects implementation from the grassroots,
2. Contractors performance can be monitored by the grassroots,
3. Empower the grassroots to take ownership on Government in their localities
4. Increased Government transparency and anti corruption stance,
5. Provide additional information for decisions making.
