Na wah o. I got an e-mail today too from a supposedly 'dubai recruitment firm' asking for certain info about me, if I wanted to take up some high networth executive position in Dubai.

This 419 guys will soon destroy our image all over the globe, that's if they've not already.

It's a shame on our government. A friend once told me that in Naija, you not only contend with witches and wizards, but that the government itself is so evil and demonic, they'll terrorize and make a big nonsense of your life for you no matter how hard working and righteous you can be.

The doctors should get out of the country and get better jobs outside. I have a lot of Medical Doctors as friends here (mostly Nigerians) They are the best paid and live the best lives. Though they first have to write some exams and therafter only make money when they run their own practices sha.

I will tell you how I got convinced that God is real. I have like you said, never seen Him with my eyes but I know 100% the He is real.

Lets first of all deal with the physical:

You see this world or earth (choose whatever) is part of a Solar System. If you studied science, you'll know what I'm talking about. There is the earth along with other planets, other moons, plenty of stars and a sun.

All these "bodies" are all in motion (both rotationary and revolutionary) and these are all componets of the solar system.

The question I asked myself long time ago even before I became a born-again christain or believer (choose whatever again) is this:

WHAT KEEPS ALL THIS COSMIC BODIES IN CONTINUAL ORGANISED MOTION AND MOST IMPORTANTLY PREVENTS THEM FROM CRASHING INTO OR HITTING EACH OTHER?

answer: GOD ALMIGHTY.

I realised that from what I have seen in my understanding of the earth/world, the organised motions of these bodies cannot be by chance, even in our own small earth (compared to the whole system) we see what things left to chance turn out to be. You do not need to be a christain to know that there must be a more superior force/being that controls these bodies. You do not need any pastor or GO to confirm that before you realise it.

Now that superior 'force' or 'being' is whom I choose to call God. (You may call 'it' or HIM' whatever you choose to), but I knew (even before I read and believed the Bible, even before I knew and began to have a relationship with God) that that being, who is so powerful to ensure the organised behaviour of the solar sytem/universe, who is so majestic, so knowledgeable, so POWERFUL, must be that God a lot of people (who does't even realise his power) call 'God'.

As a sequel to this realisation, I concluded that if God can so organise and make a beauty out of the universe, the solar system, what more the earth, what more my life, what more me? (And this should actually humble us). He will surely organise my own life too and you know what, he does.

From the moment I knew him personally, accepted his LORDSHIP and surrendered to HIM, I have seen a turnaround in my life never before again. My life turned around for the best. To explain what and how this happens is a whole epistle on its own).

Finally, my friend, the most important thing is having a relationship with the Lord God Almighty Himself, not any pastor, not any bishop, not any priest, because God expects more from you. Whenever I pray, I call upon God through Jesus Christ, not through GO, and not through anyother pastor or bishop and HE ANSWERS ME. What more proof do I need that He exists, eh?

So that is how I know God exists, he exists only to those who knows Him.

The one I want to talk about now is the comment someone wrote about "GO frolicking with OBJ".

You know that by the GO even considering that makes him a man of God the more. What would you expect the GO to do when OBJ and all the politicians go to Redemption Camp? Drive them away, haba! Even if he did that, you same people will write another thread and say "GO Drive Politicians Away From Redemption Camp, Why? He Shouldn't"

The bible says  we should not judge so that we ourselves would not be judged. When the woman that was caught in adultery was about to be stoned and Jesus used wisdom in saving her, He still did not judge her. Rather he asked her to go and sin no more.

When that short man Zaccheus (the Tax Collector) sought Jesus, did Jesus drive him away? No, he even went to his house to have dinner with him. Are these instances of frolicking?

One reason I rarely post on Nairaland is that I've noticed that a lot of people come onto this forum to post utter nonsense out of lack of anything serious doing or just so to vent their frustration on other posters.

Very sensible, I do the same.
Put all my money in a savings account with no debit card and put only what you use concurrent in a cheque account with debit card. Use cheque accounts for debit orders and also put sms notifications on all transactions.
Accounts in same bank, minimal cost for eft and both accounts are not even linked.

For credit applications you submit both statements, savings and current accounts.

Lastly check your balances on line at least twice a week.

I find that a lot of people have issues with the point that the white man brought christianity to Africa, I always wonder why.
I am not apologetic to the white man coming to africa to fool us Africans which they did during the days of Jaja of Opobo etc and are still doing today (albeit economically via our foolish so called african leaders) but can you blame them? The white man has studied the African man and have seen that an average African man will sell his birth right together with his kins men for a few dollars (or a plate of porridge).

But that is still not my point, If you guys are ready to accept the electricity, cars, trains, aeroplanes, computers, ampicillin, chloroquine etc (that makes your lives easy physically) that the white man brought; why are you quick to condemn and reject the christianity (that makes your lives easy spiritually) which he also brings? (if truly Christianity is a white man's religion).

Why not rather read your bible rather than read all these written by Professor Molefi Kete Asantea, a fellow man like you? Is he more intelligent than Paul the Apostle? Even though he wrote 42 books and Paul & Co. wrote fewer books, I believe you'll gain more if you spend more time on the bible; do not worry about the fact that the writers were fishermen; carpenters etc; not professors;, THE BIBLE IS THE WORD OF GOD.
There's enough proof in the bible itself that it is!

Can I ask a question from those of you who says there is no God? Especially to Idinrete who says the writers of the bible know no science etc.

I myself have been thinking of this for some time now. You see I did a bit of science before I went into accounting (at least I had an A2 in physics in WASCE O level.)

I look at the universe or the solar system as science have taught us with all the many bodies; sun, moon, the stars, earth, mars, venus, pluto et al; and I hope you know that there are many millions of them.
Science makes us know that all these bodies are in motion either rotating or revolving or both. All these bodies have been in these motions for years, many, many years.

I try to imagine that if these bodies are left to randomly move as they do on their own, there is no way that they would remain in such perfect motions and positions that they are now and have ever maintained.

My question is do you really believe there is no 'influence' on the organised motion(s) of all these bodies in the solar system that they have at no time crashed into each other?

I know science made several attempts at explaining with several 'laws' such as Newton's laws of motion; Law of universal gravitaion etc, etc. Yes but think beyond these 'laws' and look at the very basics.

Methinks the fine order we have in the solar system is the biggest proof we have of God's existence because if there was no 'influence' from him, the whole planet/solar system would have crashed.

P.s. Please don't even raise the issue of the so-called "Big-Bang-Theory".
To me, the big band was what happened in Genesis when God created the heavens and the earth!!!
