@poster what's the essence of this thread? |

To me the question really is "Does the government (Federal and State) want to decongest Lagos"? I do not think so. I'm sure some people somewhere are profiteering (economical, political and otherwise) from the congestion of Lagos. Otherwise, how can one explain a man like Obasanjo ruling for eight years and not touching Lagos-Ibadan expressway, the most important route in the Western part of the country and the busiest exit from Lagos. Is it not this congestion that is making every foreign company coming to Africa wanting to come to Nigeria (Lagos) by all means? And these people in government cut deals with them to sign them in. I read in some business nespaper somewhere that Lagos was built to accomodate 100,000 people; now there are 14 million people living in Lagos. My people, some people are 'enjoying' Lagos as it is and making money out of it and they do not care to de-congest it o! We Nigerians should start taking our past governments to courts for 'failed governance' |
@djcrucifix this is to seun and all moderators.Where is it 'always dated 4th june'? Are you sure your computer isn't pentium 1? |
Falling under the annointing is real, whether it's in the bible or not. It all depends on what you feel and what you expect from God. Haven't you guys seen people cry, scream, slump etc when watching live show of Michael Jackson in those days? (that was when Michael still used to be Michael anyway). I hate it when people do not want to agree to a christian practice and start to ask "where is it written in the Bible?" It was never recorded in the Bible that Jesus had a bath or that He went to toilet to pooo! But yet, we all know He must have poooed and weeeed and had His bath. Must everything be in the Bible before you use your sense to know what is right or wrong? Does that mean bathing or poooing is wrong 'because it is not written in the Bible? Haba! |
and what is actual christianity? being poor? |
I tire ooo! One important thing the originator of this thread lacks is the understanding of the saying: Judge not; so that you yourself will not be judged! This is one of life's strogest and most important principle. When Jesus came to the scene of the woman that was caught red-handed in adultery, He did not say any iota of judgement against the woman, instead He asked her to go and sin no more! On a lighter note, someone actually once told me that one reason our own dearest IBB (anyone remember him?) hasn't been tried or jailed is that he practices this important life's principle. He did not, and does not judge anybody; by order of this principle, that's why he too hasn't been judged yet!!!! ![]() |

Do you know what you are talking aboutBros, try to read earlier posts before you interject. Who said mark thatcher isn't british? or that he commited a crime in the us? But he's not a black man. If he were, FBI, CIA and Scotland Yard would have been intrested in his case. It's the reason that he's british he was able to walk away free. Nigerian Leaders are extremely corrupt, we agree and we know, but are you going to stoop so low as to tell america to come and rid your coountry of your corrupt leaders for you because you cannot do it yourselves? NIGERIANS SHOULD (AND WE DEFINITELY WILL VERY SOON), SIT DOWN AND SORT OUT NIGERIA'S PROBLEMS OURSELVES, WHATEVER IT'S GOING TO TAKE. And what makes you think america or fbi are morally right and must do that for you, or do you think america is the most righteous nation? If you do, then you are the one who's missed it. Apart from encouraging fbi to come and arrest your leaders, what have you, davidif, done to stop corruption in nigeria? |
@angelheart Yebo Sis., I stay in Midrand. What part of Pretoria do you stay? I see you replaced your son's pic with yours. Quite nice eh? What's your e-mail address? I'll be in Pretoria on Friday to see a client. I could meet up with you after for lunch etc. Are you Southie or Naija? |
@Angelheart 'Kunjaaaaani Sis'. Hey, I love the place too but the only problem here is crime. It's the world head quarters for crime. I cannot recount the many escapades people close to me have encountered. But sha, God will continue to protect us. N.B. Who's picture is that? Your son's? Quite cute eh? I stay in Jo'burg, Midrand. |

When Mark Thatcher was caught financing a coup in Guinea because he wanted to steal and control their oil, did America and Britain and fbi not hear about it? What did they do? Nothing! The man is walking free today still making news and they are telling us they want to come and arrest nigerians in nigeria, nonsense! |
surrender and hand over the keys asap! my friend was hi-jacked recently in front of my house in our complex. 4 guys came in with him as he entered the gate, wrestled him to the floor, took the keys from his pocket and drove the rented car out with all his important possessions. my friend has vowed never to return to sa again! he was lucky they did not shoot him. guys are hi-jacked and shot on a daily basis in jo'burg. if you struggle with them you'll just become statistics on the police crime report. |
don't mind paulipopo, its obvious the guy has tried his hands and lost out at many of what he's accusing pastors of. He may have been a trustee in a church and was expelled or voted out, or even prayed out! If only we could find out his pedigree, I'm sure we'd be amazed that he's tried his hands on some of this "holybusiness principles" he's teaching, and FAILED too! |
I don't even want to read this thread. The topic is enough to justify my answer. Why would you want to go and live in China (or any other country whatsoever) illegally? You must take whatever is metted out to you as it comes. Even legal immigrants still have their own issues. Do you think immigration laws are for fun? |
@getukudo You seem not to get the point, Any Nigerian whosoever that is caught for any offence anywhere, be it Singapore, Saudi, Russia, or anywhere even America should be tried and if found guilty should be made to face the full wrath of the law, nobody is saying here that they should not. but what we are saying is that america cannot, and does not have the right, both legally and MORALLY, to come onto Nigerian soil and say they want to investigate and try nigerians. Where does that put you as a sovereign nation? It shows that you as a nation cannot get your acts together. Can't you arrest and try the same people yourselves? Do you need america to do that for you? If this happened in UK or any other 'white' or non-african country, would america do the same and go in to arrest? My brother, the white man has been 'slapping the black man for a long time since the times of slave trade, and they've 'slapped' us enough. The thieves who stole 21bn are wrong and they should be made to face the music, hanged, killed as many have suggested here, but must america come and do that for you? If nigeria can't clean up it's acts and do the needfull, then you better cover your face instead of crying to 'brother' america to come and help. Thats why in spite of his maladministration, Mugabe is still respected by the black elite in southern africa. He told off the british and americans even in the midst of the Zimbabwean crisis and said Zimbabbwe (and Africa) must be left to solve Zimbabwean (and Africa's) problems the Zimbabwean (African) way by Zimbabbwean (African) people. It was tough for the region, but have they not resolved it now? without the 'help' of America or Britain. Sometime you guys think that america is the solution to our issues but most times the 'help' they render are 'pseudo-helps' and on the long run it pays them more and we suffer more. They should just leave us to solve our own problems our own ways, abeg! |
Em, i wish we just have a speck in our eyesCompared to what bush and his cohorts did to iraq, amidst plenty more clandestine ones they did in many places all over the world, I'd say yes, our is just a speck. |
Na wah o! Some people should be caned!! |
so this thread hasn't been removed yet, eh? @paulipopo, People are 'caution-ing' you to desist from these nonsense and you still persist, well, you're on your own o! I once heard a saying that "those the gods want to destroy, they first of all make mad" I am not a pastor but I know what this can cause you, a word is enough for the wise. All these your 'ardent students' will not even be there for you when you start to reap what you're sowing. |
Abeeeeeegi!, FBI and bush's government should first of all remove the timber in their own eyes before coming to nigeria to point out the speck in our own eyes. Are these not the same people who lied to the whole world about 'weapons of mass destruction' in iraq? They must be mad! The bastards destroyed a whole country all because they wanted their oil and messed up oil prices worldwide. Now that everybody has found them out on their lies, they want to make a sensation out of a nigerian malady to cover up. Shioo, |
The starter of this thread is obviously frustrated. (I would have said sick, but for want of decency). Anyway, I've met a few of his kind before. These sort of 'seemingly well researched and well presented' outburts is a symptom of someone who has tried his hands at something and failed woefully thereby getting his fingers burnt. A few examples for you guys. I know of a guy here who had a failed career as a financial advisor; and thereafter attacks and destroys any insurance and investment product that any company develops and markets. Back home then I had a friend who after failing ICAN exams uncountable number of times; he thereafter sees nothing good in ICAN and attacks and destroys any chartered accountant he comes across, from the founders of the institute upto every recently qualified accountant. When you see someone always attacking nigerians that live in the UK or US, saying they are washing plates etc, and should come back home (as in a past thread here on nairaland, NIN against NID, remember,) go and check properly and you will find out that these are frustrated guys who had been severally rejected of British and American visas. And to Seun, In as much as this is suppossed to be your thing and you can do whatever you like, I really think you ought to use your good office as the administrator by disallowing this thread henceforth. I know you've shown in past threads and postings your spiritual inclination which we respect, but this is getting out of hand, do something, NOW! |
Oh my God, I thought you guys were joking about this Naijacampusforum thing until I checked it out just now. Meeeeen, I shame for that guy o! Is this the kind of entrepreneur folanaira is encouraging? Na wah o! |
Hmmm! I read this thread from first to last, all I can say is Hmmmm, Na wah o! |
@qoam What with the full address? |
@folanaira (aka Mr. 1 post) Agreed, education is not only about spelling but also knowing (how to use) your microsoft word version amongst other things! But of what benefit to a client is an illiterate entrepreneur? (N.B. Illiterate as used here not only means not spelling right or finishing school (uneducated); but also (as my microsoft word version gives me synonyms,: uninformed, ignorant, not conversant, untaught). I am also an entrepreneur! An entrepreneur that knows how to spell!! |
Yeeeeepa, mo ko o! I am die.! What is all this now? Eh? w'a a gba! You will take.! |
Hi Guys? I recently found out that there is a huge shortage of Certified Internal Auditors (CIAs) here and I am considering registering for; and writing the exams to become certified. I just want to know what the propspects are in Naija. (As you know: 'Ile l'abo isinmi oko' Do we perhaps have any CIA (in Nigeria) on Nairaland? Is there IIA in Nigeria? P.S. The IIA (Institute of Internal Auditors) administers the certification. |
Where is CGO (@poster) now? You see now, you guys drove him away from the thread he started, omaseo |
Ho,ho,ho. Dis one na real "OBAMA sees the opposition as HILLARIOUS. You guys should know that nobody is above miskate. |
