PoliticsRe: Would MKO Abiola Have Made A Good President? by bodsibobo(m): 8:36pm On Jan 11, 2008
'O ma se o'! Haa, Iku naa l'o wa so eniyan nla di igi itayin bayi'!

Translation: "What a pity? It is death that has now turned a great man into a toothpick like this"

This same MKO, that fellow Nigerians are now rubbishing on this thread, is the same man that one of ANC major stalwarts, whom I happened to meet recently was speaking so highly of, and telling me many good things MKO did for the struggle in South Africa, and Africa (part of which helped them to get their freedom today) which even Nigerians are not aware of.

Anyway, didn't the Bible say something about a great person not being accepted in his own country?

Well, I never met MKO, I never worked in any of his companies and I never directly benefited from his wealth, but I can only describe him in one word;
to me he was 'PHENOMENAL'.

Forum GamesRe: Ask A Question, Get A Wrong Answer! by bodsibobo(m): 6:34pm On Aug 29, 2007
ANSWER: because nairaland is Psalm Chapter 1 Verse 1 (Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers)

QUESTION:
how can I Unsubscribe to it (i.e nairaland)?
Christianity EtcRe: Oh God, Tunde Bakare Again! by bodsibobo(m): 5:25pm On Aug 22, 2007
I am saying these to you all again:

1. DO NOT JUDGE, SO THAT YOU YOURSELF WILL NOT BE JUDGED.

2. IF A PRAYER IS 'NOT ANSWERED' OR A PROPHESY DOES ' NOT COME TO PASS', IT DOES NOT STOP GOD FROM BEING GOD.

Best Regards
FamilyRe: Disciplining Children by bodsibobo(m): 5:11pm On Aug 22, 2007
are you people still debating this matter? na wah o!!

where is it heard of that you do not discipline a child? abeg stop all these "no-beating" stories!!

We are not saying one should abuse a child or beat a child unnecessarily, but for God's sake how can you raise a 'goodly' and 'godly' child without spanking when necessary?

haba people; even the bible says " spare the rod and spoil the child".

The kind silly things wey i dey see oyinbo children do in public dey make me sorry for their lives atimes, all in the name of no beating. abeg, abeg, abeg o!

I reject such for my children in Jesus name, amen. But before then, i will discipline them well, well.

Christianity EtcRe: Drop Your Prayer Point Here. by bodsibobo(m): 1:09pm On Aug 17, 2007
Oh Lord, My God,

Unto You I lift up my soul,

Oh my God, I trust in You,

Let me not be ashamed,

Let not my enemies triumph over me,

Concerning the door of the franchise opportunity you have opened for me,

Father in Heaven, Let it manifest physically this month,

In the mighty name of Jesus.

Amen!
Christianity EtcRe: Oh God, Tunde Bakare Again! by bodsibobo(m): 12:55pm On Aug 17, 2007
Two strong advices I want to give every one here:

1. Do not judge; so that you yourself will not be judged.

Nobody, (I repeat NOBODY) has the right to judge anyone. This is a very strong injunction from God, as simple as this statement sounds, it is a major principle of life and living.

Even Jesus, when the woman that was caught red-handed in adultery wanted to be stoned, after asking the obviously sinful crowd to cast the first stone if they were not worse than her, still did not judge the woman. He only said "woman, go and sin no more".

2. Whether anybody's prayer or prophesy is answered or comes to pass does not stop God from being God.

If you pray to God to grant you favour in winning a contract; or to pass an important exam or to heal a sick person and you do not win the contract or you fail the exam or the sick person actually dies, does that stop God from being God?

In other words, God is God irrespective of you or your issues.

I now see the way this thread is going and I'm definitely going to back off after this.

If people still think like this in 2007, we still have a long way to go before Nigeria can be great!

Yes my dear, I am only agreeing with you, you're 100% correct!!!

@Mariory
talking about such a person employing people and others making money from trading in his shares is like eating the crumbs while he is stuffing the whole food BELONGING TO EVERYONE from both sides of his mouth.

i know a few things about the dangote, he's a gangster businessman. do you guys know how many businesses (and lives, by default) he has destroyed?

he should go and sit down. does he pay tax?

All those other people he's comparing himself with are heavily taxed, which is a way of their wealth being useful to the common man. (@ angel 101 & chaz)

but for him, after having subdued the government, who can then tax him?

Abeg, tell him to shut up!!!

Trust Nairaland users, this guy just asked a simple question regarding tinting of his Toyota, by the time this thread gets to page 23 we would all be talking about the spiritual implications and otherwise of the inventor of the constituents of the tinting material, the first person to use it and maybe also the legality of the nigerian constitution on tinting of vehicle wind screens!
