Explorers: 5. Bike sharing(Netherlands, London).
Will this work?
Imagine having thousands of bikes littering about a hundred bike stations across Lagos or VI. Instead of adding your car to the traffic, you can just stroll to the nearest bike station to your house, pick a bike, cycle to work and drop it off at the nearest bike station to your office. Like that again when you're going home It does not matter the ideas that you bring, what matters is the mentality of the people you are bringing it to. You and i both know all these ideas won't work until Nigerians change their mentality. |

agarawu23: If I hear say na blog she from raise the mansion money Nigerians need to move from the stone age to the 21st century. It's called mortgage baby. Question is, how much is she worth that she could afford an 800 million naira home. There no freaking way anyone puts that amount down on a home unless it's a mortgage. Nigerians need to understand that. Nobody does that anymore. Unless she's trying to say she's a billionaire which i doubt. I had an intense argument with someone on NL once about why most people who live outside Nigeria want to come back home. To me, the idea sounds ludicrous. Why would you want to leave a safe, predictable and secure society to live in a dangerous and unstable environment? The only reason i could fathom is the need to oppress. Nigerians love to show off immensely and also to subjugate. It's crazy that someone would buy a house and start posting the pictures for everyone to see. Why would you do that? Apart from the security ramifications, it's just downright crass and tacky. Pleeeeaassseee, come and do that shiit over here. Please i beg you. The first thought would be, what's wrong with this bi.tch? why is she "showing" off what almost anyone can afford? Anyway, only in Naija. The country of the downright obscene, local, deprived and obnoxious. P.s where is folaatisade? |

Lol......In the U.S people try to hide their wealth to avoid the IRS poking around in their business. In Nigeria people flash any and everything because taxation is a joke. Some will argue that "what about all those musicians and actors who show off stuff on tv?" Truth is they borrow/rent all these expensive stuff for show. They are not stu.pid. Until the tax system in revamped in Nigeria, development will only be a dream. |

Politics › Re: 5 Reasons Why Buhari’s Ministerial List Is Bad For The So Called Nigeria by Bollinger(m): 6:33am On Oct 15, 2015 |
stanech: 5 Reasons Why Buhari’s Ministerial List Is Bad For the so called Nigeria Wednesday, 14 October 2015
APC supporters who are ready to continuously eat and lick the Bumbum proceed of Buhari and flush it down with the juice flowing from his nostrils must understand this, That people died during Mr Buhari struggle to become President, innocent promising youth corp members lost their lives, houses and properties worth billions were destroyed.
Buhari begged Nigerians, he campaigned round the country, cried and rubbished those in the presidency then on national television, this happened consecutively for 12 good years, He made promises to bring Change to Nigerian and Nigerians. He has finally landed the Job, Buhari is Mr. President today, not ANPP, CPC or APC candidate anymore. Let analyse the ministerial list along four key areas and see why Buhari should be called to order.
Corruption; Buhari promised Nigerians that only credible Nigerians with impeccable characters will dominate his cabinet, Same reason they gave for crucifying Saraki the senate president, As usual with PMB and his campaign promises, Buhari broke the promise , Seeing names like Amaechi and Fashola ( 25transamadi, monorail and website construction ) who under their watch Lagos and Rivers were competing for the most corrupts state in Nigeria comes to mind, Buhari’s slogan that ” if Nigerians don’t kill corruption, corruption will kill Nigeria” has becomes meaningless.
Economy: At a time of austerity and bailouts, most states struggling to pay workers salaries, many states withdrawing free health care, rising inflation, sky rocketing unemployment, investors fleeing the stock market, The list has no reputable world class name that can make a turn around of the economy as promised, I will wail, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala cannot be replaced with Dr. Fayemi Kayode who left Ekiti State under a burden debt, no project justify huge debts. Age: The average age of the nominees is 52, because the young people are not ready for leadership, no fresh blood, they only marry our age mates to warm their bed, we don’t deserve positions in govt. Really? “In 1973, the older Saraki (Olusola) screened Audu Ogbe as a Minister. 36 years later, his son Saraki will screen Ogbe again. Are we cursed?” Asked my friend Fejiro Oliver who campaigned for Buhari, A man who was HOS 30years plus ago.
Gender: How many ladies made the list, how about the promise to keep to the 35% affirmative action for women, like it or not, women are very important and vital to successful teams, Buhari’s cabinet need a mix of brilliant women. Gone are the days societies keep women from playing active role in governance, remind Buhari that the world has changed, no more western Germany.
Nigerians must call Buhari to order now, we cannot waste these four years doing same things we have been doing in the last 55 years of our free existence, settling political merchants who see public office as a life career till death bid them pact is unacceptable,
Buhari promised Nigerians “Change”, only to take us back in the very hands of our predators dating back 36years till date, most of whom were before now politically displaced persons, Buhari has finally allowed political merchants to use him as vehicle to plunder our national wealth.
“Jonathan destroyed Nigeria” is no longer sellable, call me a “wailing wailer” no problem, remember December is coming like winter in the Games of Thrones TV, Buhari must keep the prices of foodstuff down from rising as the last administration did.
Wailing for a positive change. Well said sir. |

Here are we again after 16years of PDP. However, this is another thrash from PDP/GEJ's loyalist. How many pieces of advice did you give to your Ogogoro master/PDP while in the helm of affairs of this nation.
I think the likes of you always claim that PDP/GEJ has revamped every sector when the election was fast approaching: worst still, GEJ till 2019 is your watchword.
If we rejoice with this news, we are taking back part of what they have milked away from us in terms of slavery and cheating. Or was it not the same US that trade one hectares of land with a mirror during the time of our fore-fathers ?
Anyway, the journey of a thousand miles start with a step. Afterall, US troops have been to Nigeria before without a tangible achievement.
God bless Nigeria, my beloved country. Where in the guy's post did he refer to PDP, ACP, NTC, CMR, FNP OR GEJ? Bro's cool down ooooooo. |

kingdompropty: Everywhere they have gone to fight terrorism, they have always messed things up.
What we need against BH is intelligence as they have gone into gorilla warfare. It's always been guerrilla warfare. Terrorists are not regular army. That's the only way they know how to fight. Sadly the Nigerian government doesn't understand this. Remember, they don't have numbers compared to a regular sized army. If they conduct a frontal attack they'd be wiped out. The only way to survive is to do what they've been so successful at so far; hit and run. |

It is a confirmed fact that Nigerians are one of the dumbest human beings on the planet. You might feel outrage at my comments but let me break it down and you'll understand and eventually agree with me. You see, whenever a supposed offender commits wrong doing the next thing you'll see is a lynch mob ready to mett out jungle justice. Also, what you'll see are eager Nigerians drooling at the mouth eager to have the supposed offender burnt at a stake. More often than not, the supposed offender is eventually killed and what you'll hear are loud cheers of joy from these blood thirsty onlookers. What they fail to realize is, it is in the best interest of everyone that due process is followed just in case the fellow might be innocent. Also, you'd never know, it could happen to anyone of us. And if it does, you'll want the law to protect you until you are proven innocent. Just recently on this same Nairaland, there was a story about a young policeman beaten to a pulp by men of the armed forces and Nairalanders where screaming for joy. now the same men of the armed forces and doing the exact same thing to "one of their own" and they are screaming blue murder. You can't have it both ways. You are either in support of jungle justice or you are not. You can't pick and choose when it suits you. There is a reason saner societies don't do it. We are not in a jungle and Nigerians need to stop acting like beasts. |

Is he saying that he didn't take into consideration his state's monthly income and that of Akwa Ibom.
