I pity you semi-illiterate Doctor, who is arrogant and yet broke. Lack both the skill and knowledge to troubleshoot illness. Frustrated and do not understand his frustration.

Unfortunately for you and your vampire lots, we are working to catch your kind and I hope you become my first victim. That is not a joke.

Our healthcare system will change. We shall no longer tolerate mad pretentious fools like yourself. You will be caught and then you shall truly understand what being negligent is all about.

Take your residency program seriously. I understand many of you don't.

This shall be my last comment to you. Be guided.

And the husband would have gone about telling everyone how he beat up the incompetent doctor that made him lost a child...
How I wish he can have a full knowledge of all you did so his soul will be tormented
Please read that doctor's comment again. The hospital he works for do not have oxygen and the incubators are in use. Some people do not understand the implication of things. The Doctor is fortunate he got only a beating, if the man had sue, a beating will be less.

Let's stop the stupidity and look into the faces of these fools parading as doctors and tell them to go solve their problems and stop killing the public.

Let's stop the stupidity and hold the government responsible for allowing quack hospitals to operate in this country.

Let's stop the stupidity and tell the Nigeria Medical Association to raise the standard of their profession, uphold good moral and ethical standards and penalize ignorant, unethical, negligent and wicked doctors

He has a right to call you that, in view of the insensitivity shown so far. He is angry just like majority of the people here. The only indifferent ones here are you and your colleagues, who refuse to admit the error in your profession and general attitude and try to change the system, or at least, be the difference.

However, we have had remarkable doctors like the lady who gave her life for our safety during the Ebola outbreak - pure class, a remarkable professional.May her sweet soul rest in peace.

They don't care and I blame the public too because only few people sue and that is after refusing the pleading, begging and prostration. There are some many doctors that should be in prison.

You go to hospitals, no light, no oxygen, generators are faulty, but guess what, government has already allocated monies for these expenditures. Now ask, where are these monies channeled to? Funding the private lives of senior doctors and health workers. Doctors in this country are like our police. Plain stupid

I've not been to a hospital where I see a very warm and caring nurse.

Their attitude alone can even make the ailment of the patient worse.

That is the frustration I am talking about. Doctors pass the frustration to the nurses. Nurses, in turn, pass the same to Patients.

My simple advise to you @ OP is leave social media and face your work. Or simply leave the medical profession if you prefer the social media. It's obvious you did nothing. There was an emergency and you still had time to run outside and buy and load a recharge card when you know that time is of the essence in such a situation. Or you do not know? I am a first aid officer and when faced with such a situation I know to focus on the victim while calling instructing others around to call the emergency services. What kind of a doctor ignores dying patients? I shake my head at how terrible the humans in the medical profession in Nigeria can be with all kinds of lame excuses.

You didn't know what to do @ OP. Simple. You wasted all those years in medical school learning nothing, hence your first challenge you couldn't handle.

You expected sympathy. You just exposed your ignorance and lack of skill. May God have mercy on your tormented soul because you know your actions were wrong. Five minutes is a long time in an emergency.
Thank you for taking out time to carefully analyze the lame doctor's actions. I just could not stomach his negligence. He allowed that young lady to die. He watched her die for the pleasure of financial gains. However, I feel for him because he is grieving, but there are many of them who are heartless and will not blink an eye.

And countries that would simply not ask any questions, at the point of emergency treatments, they simply save a life, has best and questions asked later.

Who told you that the health sector is not funded. Is it because EFCC is busy with other sectors.

You display your pathologic and pathetic ignorance again. No one is foolish to think emergency services are free anywhere in the world. However, it is only in a primitive society with inept doctors that instead of stabilizing a patient, instead look for who to quickly refer to, or ask money first from a dying patient that needs urgent care.

Should we do an incision and drainage to drain the pus out of your brain, so at least you can reason a little and have some common sense?

Don't compare abroad and Nigeria, in Nigeria the politicians are stealing all the money and taking abroad where they have a working medical system that treats people for free once its an Accident & Emergency.
EXCUSE ME PLEASE. They don't treat for free. I go there. The healthcare system is even expensive, but the healthcare workers, first, understand their duties and priorities - which is to provide excellent healthcare. They show deep interest in wanting to see you better. They follow up with phone calls to find out if you are ok. They simply care and when I discuss our healthcare system in Nigeria with them, they are horrified.

For those doctors, maybe they are too young or have been deceived by their senior colleagues, I wish to remind them that they are the ones holding our healthcare system from improving.

Go abroad and see how careful doctors and other health workers conduct themselves. Why - because, if they are negligent, they lose their license and the hospital pays damages to the victims family. In short, people are even praying for doctors to be negligent so that they can become instant millionaires.

I'm tired of explaining to you people. I did not exonerate the op from blame..read my first post. However, health services is not free anywhere in the world and emergency health services is not an exception. Somebody has to pay for it,be it the patient or the Govt. that's the ugly truth.
A good system is one in which the Govt pays for such services because it has the interest of it's citizens at heart. Problem with Nigerians is that we like free things and expect emergency treatment to be free because a life is at stake.
Blood transfusions would have kept that lady and others like her alive pending definitive treatment but will the op put his own blood into her veins? or because he is earning 150k/month(money that people spend in one night at clubs) he is supposed to pay for the blood?
stop being emotional about this issue and think rationally. You either continue ranting online or proffer solutions to the problem. I can assure you that these cases will continue to happen till we as a people demand a change from the policy makers.

p.s don't quote me again pls
You are stupid and very stupid indeed. Are you officers not responsible for ensuring that the right thing be done. Every year you all embark on your annual leave A.K.A Strike and the purpose of such strike is just to increase your stupid remuneration.

I doubt this news.

But if it is true, it will look absurd because you cannot remove susidy thereby deregulating the petroleum sector and at the same time, fixing or pegging the price of pms.
Subsidy removal is not deregulation, please stop misinforming the public. Deregulation is also known as privatization - removal of government interference. There is still government interference via the DPR and PPPRA.

We have previously done a rough calculation on price of refined oil. However, labor cost, other direct cost and logistics were not included. N85/liter is a fair price, which will be driven down in the future when the refineries begin to operate in full capacity.
Politics › Re: Refineries To Pay Into Federation Account From 2016 – Kachikwu by Boss13: 8:34am On Dec 26, 2015
Kachikwu is a very brilliant man. His utterances inspires hope. This business model for the refineries is pragmatic and can be implemented. Let the refineries be responsible for their cost and revenue, hence consider thoroughly what their profit should be. I think future months to come will be an exciting period in Nigeria. Oil prices are NEVER going to go up except there is a major crisis in one or two oil countries.

Subsidy removal will eradicate fraudulent oil suppliers, whilst only serious marketers will remain. The oil marketers will complement in volume, the total oil consumption expected by the refineries. I know serious downstream investors will be watching Nigeria closely.

The era of impunity from fuel stations will be over soon. Now, these stations should consider customer oriented trainings for their staff because these changes are effectively positioning the customer to be KING. The customer can clearly choose which fuel station he would patronized.
