It is pretty clear by now to all and sundry that GEJ ran an 'anything goes' system of government, devoid of any iota of accountability. undecided
I don't think this has to do with the past administration, despite it being an inefficient administration. However, this is a Nigerian factor where people exploit weaknesses and government is less concerned in blocking leakages.

Fortunately, the IMF is not the only institution the government can borrow from. On a lighter note, the conditions stipulated in the debt agreement by the IMF are conditions necessary to effect good governance in Africa and because Africa is a continent that has refused to toe on the line of good governance, these conditions, which always include penalty clauses, makes it difficult for Africa countries to repay their loans.

A huge shame and an embarrassment to our nascent democracy. These callous unpatriotic men were out to destroy our country. At the moment, EFCC should focus on recovery and not prosecution because there is an extra cost attached in prosecuting these men and the country may not have the surplus funds to judicially prosecute these unreasonable
Thieves.

Our prayer as a nation is not to allow PDP smell the corridor or aisle or power again. Also, Buhari should monitor his party men to avoid is drowning deep in this economic woes.

At this point, I wished Buhari is a military dictator.

Jonathan administration was an administration for family and friends. Little wonder why we hear noises such as him being the best president because he enriched people who never worked.

Now the economy is really in a bad shape. Whilst other economies are recovering from the 2008 recession, Nigeria is falling deep into a depression because of waste, mismanagement and poor choices.

Jonathan may not be prosecuted now, but he should be ashamed of his legacy - which is nothing to write home about.

This is wahala for the laboratory company. I like the way this drama is going. At least it is educating Nigerians because many of us are just ignorant and go about things the barbaric way.

Davido may blame it on his privileges of being rich and famous, but the issue on ground is being ignorant on existing laws and trying to buy his way out.

Lesson for others.

At this point, I am afraid for Buhari. The thieves he is going after have looted funds if deployed to purchase arms will wipe out our entire defense institutions.

Buhari should tread carefully. We need him to sanitize the country and not get himself killed or impeached, hence returning this country back to the hands of the evil ones.

I can see don jazzy fans blabbing nonsense all around.

Don jazzy is the real childish one, Infact extremely childish and proud, I was never cowed by his shenanigans on twitter.

Going on stage to say that rubbish was the height of pride and immaturity. Olamide never called your name or the name of your group, but don jazzy felt he is a don, a god who could do as he likes.

Olamide's reaction is over the top for most people including me, but if anyone of you could reason, you'd know that, that is what his music preaches, street gangsta culture, and he's simply staying true to himself and his message. He's not being an hypocrite.

Enough of the story, this news is simply propaganda.
What is true with his misceant music. Copying the dirty habits of black American artiste.

Nonsense.

are you guys ever satisfied when you heart good news?
It is good news in the short term. However, what is going to happen after the governor is gone? We should not kid ourselves about not knowing how our politicians work. Give me one government agency that is effectively managed in this country.

I like the idea but I don't understand why the governor should be the one building a rice mill with public funds, something some wealthy business men would gladly venture into if they consider the benefits offered by the government.

Anambra government would not only save money for essential services, but also have a rice mill which will generate employment for its youth

Exactly my point. Those lauding him do not understand that this is absolutely a waste of public funds.
Agriculture › Re: Willie Obiano Starts Rice Production & Processing In Anambra State(pics by Boss13: 8:38pm On Jan 01, 2016
This is absolute nonsense. What is a state government doing with the production of rice or production activities for that matter. A venture that may not be sustained or continued after the tenure of the governor. An activity which may be marred with fraud and waste. Therefore resulting to waste of funds. Why would a governor waste public funds for an activity that private businessmen should undertake.

Government should be bothered with essential services such as transportation, security, education, water, roads. Government must prioritize ventures it must undertake and channel scarce resources into it.

Someone should tell Obiano that he would have discussed with some businessmen from his state such as the Cosmas Madukas to invest in a rice mill and obtain concession and tax reliefs. Hence, the money used by the governor to build the rice mill would have been used for essential services.

This is just a pure waste of Anambra scarce resources.

This is poor corporate governance on the part of MTN. Except they do not have the cash, in which case, a letter should have been written to NCC informing them of their cash postion, whilst seeking alternatives means such as the lawsuit.

The position of NCC is clear and MTN maybe liable to pay further penalties inclusive of the original fine in contention.

Bad management decision!

Buhari lost his cool there, their lawyers should stop wasting money fighting for bail, they will keep on re-arresting them till infinity. As much as I despise their crimes, I still think it's dangerous to disobey court orders and choose which to obey in a democracy....its a slippery slope that can lead to anarchy
What do you mean by Court orders? What do you understand about criminal proceedings? Nobody was disobeying court orders. EFCC allowed Dasuki, but he has other cases to answer with the DSS so he was re-arrested again. We now have an aggressive law enforcement agencies and not one eager to allow law offenders to go easily.

These criminals are a political risk and should answer for their crimes. Let the trial decide for them and I bet there will be further arrest and one charge count MUST stick.

A Pessimist will continue to be a pessimist so why bother trying to impress one. I was impressed with the Presidential media chat yesterday. The President was blunt, honest and even offered advised to the panel of journalists. I observed him trying hard to conceal revealing so much and even his anger and frustration to some annoying questions. However, it was good to hear his opinion on some issues.

I like your comment. What is funny is the interpretation of some Nigerians. The President said we cannot afford to allow Dasuki and Nnamdi to jump bail. He did not say that they should not be granted bail. What the prosecuting officers are doing is charge the offenders with a new crime before trial commence because there is the possibility for both Dasuki and Nnamdi to jump bail.

Bail allows accused persons to continue with their normal lives instead of being in prison whilst preparing for trial. Jump Bail means when someone who has been granted bail by the court refuse to show up for trial.

David is rude and we all know that BUT davido won the case when both parties confirmed the baby had traces of marijuana in her due to her mom's irresponsibility.

Meaning the child has been under the care of coco adeleke for over 5month(since june) and she's looking that good...All I see is a bitter girl who is crying wolf cos the family refuse to buy her the car they promised her...I bet if she had been given that car...this issue wouldn't have existed...I bet you...Sophie got pregnant for davido cos of the financial gains...and I have no sympathy for her...lessons to ladies...Pregnancy can never make a man marry you....300k monthly,500k December including her 13th month allowance...thats a directors salary in the federal govt.
I did not read where both parties agreed to traces of maurijana found in the baby's system. I think it is wrong of you to label this woman wrongly. Our society is wicked to women.

What do you expect her to do? David has huge followership on twitter. Everyone has been labelling the lady as a slut. This story is nothing but the unfair treatment we get from powerful people. David cannot take care of the child, because he is always touring, why separate the child from the mother?

I will never be cajole by David post, the baby is yours by the DNA proof and her mother is still her mother whether by flirting, married or whatsoever is unnecessary. David needs the baby mama consent before taken her baby abroad. This is Africa mentality that need to stop, husband family do think they have it all. Thanks Dele is there for her sister. I challenge the David to issue out the hospital proof that the poor baby is infected and if that is true, is left for court to decide not adelekes
Whether the Baby was infected or not, he still requires consent from the mother of his child. That baby still requires motherly care and love. Let the Court decide on the capacity of the lady to provide such care.

You do not have the right to call the lady a slut. This attitude of yours is the reason why our ladies live in suppressed denial and cannot express their sexuality and feminism.
Celebrities › Re: Davido Replies Sophie Momodu; Reveals How She Manipulated & Exploited Him by Boss13: 8:39am On Dec 31, 2015
I wish to critically analyze this story from a holistic viewpoint. First, I will start from Davido's public statement because it provides a glimpse of early beginnings.

This is a family matter, however, both parties have conducted themselves improperly and allowed private matters filter into Public domain. Consequently, the public is entitled to express their own opinion.

Davido in his press release indicated how young he was and how he fell under the manipulative influence of his lover at the age of 21 and such incidence brought into the existence 'a love child'. I find such statement very stupid and immature to utter. He also included how poorly educated his lover is and tried to buttress his point that his lover is a street girl. The popular phrase says birds of a feather flock together. If Davido was not in the street preying around he would not meet her. He should also be knocked back to reality and understand that he dated the lady and as such loved her company and the by-product of their happy times was a baby.

Davido also claimed that he makes monthly payments to the mother of his child and went as far as indicating the amount. A reader would wonder from his statement if he was performing miracles such as walking on water. Regardless of his intention, Davido must realise that by getting his lover pregnant, he changed the plan of the lady and should be held responsible. He should appreciate his present situation because, amongst some ethnic group in this country, such situation results into instant marriage. Also, there is nothing so much or little one can do for his child.

Furthermore, Davido must appreciate the fact that it requires two persons to make a baby and each partner has an equal right to such baby. He may be right about the conduct, attitude, upbringing, moral values of the mother of his child. However, he cannot deny the lady access to the child. Based on the lady's petition, it depicts clearly that Davido abducted the baby from the mother against her will or consent and without any court ruling. I wish to also inform Davido that it is within the purview and right of Dele Momodu to consider providing financial support or not to his niece. However, trampling on the rights and privileges of others is a grave offence and every Nigerian must frown at such conduct.

In conclusion, Davido and his family are morally wrong for abducting the child against the mother's will and consent. They are also morally wrong for try to fly with the baby without the mother's input or approval. I support Dele Momodu for utilising his influence to stop the Adelekes from trampling on the right of his niece. However, I am a bit disappointed that he went on social media to express his point. Both parties must seek ways to address their concerns. Family meetings can be held and grievances can be resolved. However, where such medium is unacceptable between both parties, the matter should be left for the Court to decide.
Politics › Re: Rejoinder: My Bitter Experience As A Doctor Today - Political Failure? by Boss13: 4:39pm On Dec 28, 2015
AdiscoPele:
I had a similar experience at UCH Ibadan on the night of 21st November. An uncle was rushed there so i was with him. Around midnight, the police brought a guy in there van with a broken leg. They called the matron, who came to check the patient, who was in serious pain and the next thing she asked the police was who was going to food the bill? The poliemen said he was a robber who jumped from a two storey building, but that they(the police) will pay the bill. The matron wasnt convinved and called the welfare, who came and showed sympaty. The welfare lady pleaded with the matron to atleast, give pain killers but the matron vehemently refused saying they dont have any pain killers. I was shocked.
This is the same situation in most Nigerian hospitals. They dont care about anybody except themselves. I was wondering, if the guy in question happens to be someone she knew, will she inquire who will food the bills? Most times, this people still drugs brought by government with taxpeyers money to sell to phamarcies, and come around to tell us government dont do anything.
Its a Nigerian problem, and i think we should change our ways. Same thing happens in most government establishments. They dont do what they are paid to do, instead, they want gratifications or better still bribe before doing what they are paid to do.
Again, i think the NHIS thing is shit. It only covers what most people can afford and i hear its mostly for Civil Servants.
Please to correct the misinformation above. NHIS is for everybody. It is a health insurance scheme. Many Nigerians ignore insurance maybe they think it is too expensive. However, one can subscribe to NHIS with just N2,500 or even N10,000 for a family of five (5).
