AmeboGist:You are lying |
petra1:Your perspective is coming from a local church. The churches you mentioned all have G.O who do not work for anybody else, rather want their branch pastors to work so that they can eat their money too. |
MrPresident1:I should be telling you that because you are certainly on your own, except you are playing pranks and actually mean Donald Trump |
MrPresident1:Come Chief you said on or before 20th Jan, 2017. Now you are pushing it exactly to 20th Jan. Are your eyes getting blurred? You have to be certain because the run rising quite early in Far East and that means China will be up whilst we are asleep. I seriously doubt you and I hope you will be around whilst we are watching Donald Trump become the 45th President of the United States |
Tonyosas101:All pastors stage miracles. It's a marketing strategy |
Martins301:What do you mean 90% that number is way higher |
Cutie09:You are a liar! |
I wonder why these bad publicity against MMM. It is highly suspicious and must be sponsored. Immediately MMM declared they are opened for business, Punch wrote a scathing report with fictitious names of participants yet to receive their money. The question now is why are people working and praying so hard that the scheme should die? I just think these negative actions against MMM is from Investment houses, stockbroking firms and SEC. A thriving MMM scheme would see a nosedive in their business. They want the scheme to die, they don't want it to survive because they themselves don't want to lose business. |
Mementoes:So you are going to accept his story just like that - excuse me please! |
zicoraads:The pastor did not deny the allegations and the lady involved provided succinct details of their exploit in London. What that pastor did was abuse of power and exploiting the influence he has over his members. Now, guess what - people still patronize that church and listen to the same man. They still believe he has the anointing and grace of God. If this is not hypnotism, then explain to me in clear terms what it is. |
zicoraads:No it's not COZA. COZA is the church where the senior pastor sleeps with his members right? |
menxer:Now that's hypnotism. A situation you get suggestions and you don't apply your cognitive ability to reason and question suggestions, but proceed to partake and implement the suggestion on the premise of appeasing the person who made the suggestion. Someone can't just wake me up and suggest to me to go bring $200 without me applying some reasons. What I saw shocked me. I interviewed a young man, probably in his early twenties - why are you doing this and what he said threw me off balance, he said "I want to tap into the anointing of the man of god". Why I interviewed him was because I noticed he was worried, he appeared not to have enough money, he was struggling to make online transfer and possibly asking friends to complete the naira value for the dollar exchange. Another reason I was shocked was because I saw vibrant, beautiful young men and women and from their appearance, you could tell that these people have seen the four walls of either a university or possibly have received some form of education and oh yes I was disappointed. Religion is truly powerful. In one day, a church made over N20million and this is not just offering and tithe. Add the offering, the church made over N22million in just one day, even oil companies, in this recession, make N22million in one day and guess what - everything is profit because no cost was incurred. Damn, I might consider going to Bible school - I can talk too, I can apply the Bible, I can fry my hair and if my complexion is not light enough, I can ask bobrisky to assist me with the cream he is using (all na packaging). I can speak very well and pick up a good accent whether Australia or New Zealand accent - those are hard to notice. I spray a good expensive perfume and when I tell you I have the anointing, the sweet fragrance will becloud your judgement - my God, can people wake up |
What I want to know from the OP is whether the 20th of January is either GMT because at 23:00 hours, America go still dey 19th of January. Just want to be sure |
menxer:Laughs. My belief in the creator is personal and I duly respect the beliefs of other people. However, yesterday was an eye opener for me. I am still amazed. I was in shocking disbelief seeing the various actions of these young, energetic and supposedly productive and learned Nigerians. Another reason I wondered - how did that prophet convinced healthy young Nigerians even the unemployed to part away with $200 in a recession without any economic activities being given in return. |
Thanks Ben |
It's been a while I have visited a church and in view of certain circumstances, I decided to visit one yesterday to see a friend. The church is along Oregun Ikeja and I was shocked to observe noticeably that it's members are predominantly youth. According to members, they are having a leadership conference (Morning and Evening session) from Monday - Sunday to tap into the anointing and grace of their leader. Apparently, their leader, appears to me as a young version of pastor Chris, light skinned and permed oil flowing hair (this must be the trending style). I also noticed how members haphazardly were roaming around looking for dollars. According to them, these members were asked to sow at least $200 in order to kick start their year by a visiting prophet/ guest pastor. The prophet said he wants 200 people to sow this seed. I saw young people (employed and unemployed) struggling to get dollars. Some calling friends and relatives. I saw joy in their eyes after they could get dollars, the same dollars that is so scarce. I also witnessed how dollars went from N495 to N502 within hours and these young people were rushing to get some and those who could not get were extremely disappointed. Out of curiosity, I had to wait to see this prophet and also their senior pastor because I was amazed at the invincible influence controlling these people. I duly observed how their senior pastor drove in, in grand style with security clearing the road. I noticed he came late about an hour into church service and his itinerary had been communicated to his church security and ushers, who were in position to usher him into the church in a celebrity styled manner. Also, I noticed how the prophet, the guest pastor, was interchangeably reconstructing the Bible to fit into his sermon and making incoherent statements and also calling Luke of the Bible a doctor. I also noticed the church was filled and could house a 1,000 people. I was in awe. If there was one thing I enjoyed, it was the music and the amazement of how young people were fanatically trying to express their love for their creator or their pastor, which ever one I duly cannot say. I did a calculation on the seed offering - $200 multiplied by N495 (average price) and came up with an average sum of N20million for just 200 people, however, I am certain that more than 200 people sowed. I also mentally calculated 1,000 for an offering size of N1,000. I used N1,000 because I overheard few members bragging about paying offering of N1,000 which is the average offering fee these days and the amount came up to N1,000,000 per session and there were two sessions, meaning N2,000,000 per day and a total sum of N14,000,000 for 7 days - my God - church business is serious business. I have to be honest, I struggled within my mind in getting involved in church business. I overheard a deacon excitingly claiming that their senior pastor has the grace of God and that he knows the word. "Oh the senior pastor is so humble" (the celebrity status and grand entrance comes to mind here). Wow, wow, wow, nothing but wow preoccupied my mind, till this very moment. These pastors are only going to get richer, no doubt, but how do you gather over 1,000 young educated or semi educated Nigerians and successfully convince them to part away with $200 and there was no economic activity exchanged. I never knew how powerful religion was, and the influence pastors have over their members, not till yesterday. |
Thanks Ben but I am not clear on your explanation. I had the impression that when one dream, yes we may not recollect all, but it is an expression of the soul. For instance, in a dream land, if I am hungry food appears and I start to eat. What I mean is your thoughts are brought to existence. On the other hand, must one sing the HU for 20 mins, record the dream and repeat HU on a constant basis before becoming a master in understanding his own dreams? |
Chanchit:Wow this comment just makes you read it twice. Don't argue with a mad man because no one would be able to differentiate between who is insane and who is not. Kemi has released sensitive details that creates doubt and the moment this lady crosses your path, you begin to wonder which is true or false. Truly a career sucide |
benodic:Interesting! What spiritual exercises do one apply to interprets dreams. Also I need clarity on this. I thought dreams happen on the Astral plane and that one is responsible for the dream creation. |
In my opinion, this is not a step-down but a way to circumvent the FRC rules. Adeboye becoming the G.O Worldwide, a role he has always had, makes no significant structural change. The FRC rules suggested stepping aside and appointing someone to run the affairs of the organisation and not duplicating function. Adeboye's move will only frustrate the activities of the new G.O, who will only be a tentative head, but receives instructions from Adeboye. He may also not command respect from other pastors in RCCG. |
When are these men going to follow Adeboye and resign? They ignore their codified moral book a.k.a bible and imposed their own personal moral beliefs and opinions. When you criticise them, they quickly run to Psalms 105 v 15 - Touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm. We live in a modern age, however, these men continue to persuade their members and appraise their lifestyle using the Abrahamic stone age of over 4,000 years ago. |
benodic:What you mean in essence is that we need the negativity on earth to attain higher spiritual levels? Hence to accelerate spiritual growth, one must come to earth. So how does one assess the level of spiritual growth and the lessons that must be learnt? |
oloriooko:Excuse me I didn't say he is arrogant. I made no such claims as I have never had any dealings with him. If you say Yoruba prostrate as we all know, that picture does not depict such but rather men bowing to someone they revered a lot. I have no qualms with Adeboye but with people who make him feel so relevant |
Pastor Chris visited TB Joshua, Pastor Chris allowed Benny Hinn to minister in his church. Now, Pastor Chris is going to Benny Hinn's church. There is a close resemblance of character among these men |
oloriooko:Please stop this nonsense. If you tell me this is attributed to the Yoruba culture, I may take it with a pinch of salt. However, with the way he is being portrayed by his members, it appears he is close to deity and the picture depicts such. He can be respected as a leader of an organization, but when men of the same age as his fall on the floor too - then something is amiss |
Just getting tire of these rhetorics these men dissipate. What do they mean by the children of god will overcome. I don't get it. There is recession, inflation and bad currency fluctuations. For someone on a fixed salary, that person is poorer because the exchange rate is close to N500/$ and your purchasing power has diminished. These men need to stop these behaviors and start trying to make policies makers to sit up. Imagine a Chris Oyakilome or Adeboye writing an article in the Dailies requesting Buhari to do something. The effect alone will be tremendous. |
MrPresident1:Such a funny dude. Hope you have made plans for 2017? You better do. |
oloriooko:He has a calm demeanor. However, humility is what I don't agree with. Look at the third picture, a humble man will not allow people bow to him. He is not God. |
hahn:He should do that on 19th January 2017. It's just 18 days left to make him mellow. He has however gained the attention he craved for |
benodic:LOL very funny. Seriously I don't want to come back to earth again. Well you can explain on begging to come back to earth. Accelerate spiritual growth? |
Junia:Please review what I sent. You are not one of the writers of the Bible and cannot make such assertions. The Bible was written by men who decided to give account of happenings based on their perception. These accounts were written over 2000 years ago where certain beliefs were considered normal such as slaves and lack of women rights. Christianity is a religion and one of the most popular mainstream religions of the 21st century. If you have experience God, the Infinite Consciousness, the Supreme Being, you will not refer to IT as Him or She because the Infinite Consciousness is not a man or a woman. The Bible succeeded in referring to IT as Him. Some painters even went further to describe IT as a breaded old man in the clouds. I believe in Jesus but my friend there is no hell. This was inserted later on in the Bible. One day whether you like it or not, you will come to this realization and then other things will be revealed to you. |
Revelation1:I don't understand what you mean that some humans are the demons we see. If you mean some humans in earth being demons in physical form. I will see - no that is incorrect. |
