    * Issuing guidelines to manufacturers, importers, dealers and wholesalers in relation to their obligation under the CPC enabling law;

    * Encouraging the formation of voluntary consumer groups or associations for consumers’ well being;

    * Ensuring that consumers’ interest receive due consideration at appropriate fora and providing redress to obnoxious practices or the unscrupulous exploitation of consumers by companies, firms, trade associations or individuals;

    * Registering and monitoring products, services and sales promotions in the market place.

I see you're in Lagos, no? You can contact the Abuja location and have them direct you to a local contact in Lagos, or something, as I couldn't find any contact info for Lagos.

Write them, call them, e-mail them, go to their office if you can. Just make sure your concerns are noted. Make your voice heard! Let them know you will not tolerate fake products anymore! 

Forget the fact that you think nothing will get done no matter how much you complain. At least do something about it! If nothing truly gets done, then next time, you know who NOT TO vote for when it comes to consumer protection, no?

Well, I don’t understand what you mean when you say it seems like I am sitting on the fence here. I am not. I am against blocking traffic, something I know the guy to be guilty of, as I have been to one of his retreats and the journey back home was hell. And people parking their cars right on the road? You may be right about the time lines. I only got to know Adeboye in the '90s.

It is normal for great leaders to be maligned. Even many we hail today were condemned in times gone by. Many were even killed. However, they are heroes today.

A by-the way question: Did Tai and Sheila Solarin believe in Christmas?

I know he disliked religious leaders.

You exaggerate a bit. The monthly programs haven't been on up to 10 years, to the extent of causing serious traffic jams. The bad traffic started less than a decade ago.

The issues you raised are quite simple to handle. Simply go to the court of law to have the case determined, since you feel your fundamental human rights are trampled upon.

Pray the judge doesn't strike out your case as lacking in merit.

Thank you eleven. I am really indeed suprised that some nigerians despite what we have all endured on account of the massive corruption can still criticise Mallam Ribadu.
In Nigeria, we all dream of being a developed country over time but are we really ready to make the required sacrifice. I don't think so. We are hoping a messiah will suddenly come and make verthing right without paying our dues.
The enormity of corruption requires nothing short of an overhaul of the system. People like crea8tivity and her fellow criticise of Ribadu for not following due process have not been able to cite anyone who has done ore in the fight of corruption since our independence.
The repeatedly mouth the "rule of law" mantra, i challenge any of them to give an inatance when anyone has successfully been convicted of corruption in a nigerian court. 
This is really a very sad day for nigeria. We have been here before, in 1985 when people were celebrating Idiagbon's exodus, accusing him of being too strict. Today, we are still paying the price of embracing IBB.
When will nigerians learn?
Whether Ribadu dey or e no dey, one thing is clear to me - UMYA is a blessing to Nigeria - he will hasten the disintegration of that evil empire as presently constituted.

the only thing we need as nigerians is prayers from all angles.
as it is, i can sense confussion among them and it is only through this confussion that pdp will loose aso rock and then you will see the real colours of these men.
all we need here is to pray that God will visit them with confussion and that 's all.
we will be there. at least a couple of months back if someone tells ribadu that he will be on the recieving side, he will jsut laugh at the person so let us ask God to send more confussion in their camp.
look at how confused obj was that led him to trust only yar adua and tomorrow yar dua will trust an enemy to that cartel and there will be fire on the mountain.
