Romance › Re: Men & Cheating: My Experience, My Lessons! by bosunjohns(m): 5:12pm On Mar 30, 2015 |
Hmmm dearpreye: The matter is complex. I don't really know why men cheat. I don't!
And the shocking aspect is, most of their cheating partners are usually less attractive and appealing than their legitimate partners!
Na so e be!
MY EXPERIENCE
If someone had told me before then that I would be sexually involved with a girl other than my woman, I would have dismissed it without thinking. But it happened. A disciplined and a morally sound guy like me shouldn't have fallen for this trap. But like a rat caught in a glue trap, I fell. And helplessly so.
Had gone to the office that beautiful morning. A colleague of mine had invited this babe from another unit. Believe me, she has some of the most humongous bosoms mortal man will ever see.
Was particularly salivating when my guy gave me the signal they weren't into anything. A caveat I needed to leverage. We got talking. Innocent chat. Somehow, she dropped her mobile number for me secretly. Still didn't believed what I was being dragged into.
The calls started. The texts poured. By now, I knew I would fall. But wetin I go do? The sight of those voluptuous mammary glands excited my appetite and the Adamic nature was ignited. Seriously, I was more fascinated with her pointers than I was with her entire being. Wetin concern person! My corrupt nature was getting stronger than my conscience. My Convictions gave way for my randiness. It was a question of time before I will plateau into something I would never believe I did.
Probably she was attracted by my work status. Some of them like money sha! Exchange things. With every passing moment, I was ravished by the thought of sleeping and having a short nap on those massive glands.
At the deal day, e be like play! Me don arrange small corner after work. Babe don set! Me too don set. Moving into the apartment, and the prospect of seeing those mega balloons was epic ectasy. Thought seeing them struggle to bulge from her clothes was enough...It was nothing compared to having her release them in my face from the bra prisons they have been hitherto walled and caged. God! Have mercy! I spent more time drilling them than I did the main job. The rest na story. ..
Till date, I couldn't tell what caused. Overconfidence? I don't know. It's that complex. To make matters worse, we didn't ever get that friendship beyond that point. I just got what I wanted- a quick taste at her. That was all. No emotional connection. No feelings. No attachment. Just PURE LUST! Just SEX. Even the lady in question knew it wont go beyond that.
MY LESSONS
Curiously, this event happened when my woman and I were having serious emotional issues. All the same, NO EXCUSES! I accept my foolishness and responsibility. Maybe, there was some emotional lacuna; maybe it was just a coincidence.
That event showed me my weakness, and my inability to always believe in my natural strength when Delilahs come calling. Till date, I haven't towed that path again. The guilt that followed was far weightier than the momentary burst of pleasure I enjoyed.
Now, I try as much as possible to QUICKLY end any dispute with my woman it gets any further. I hardly allow any problems between us to degenerate to a low point where we become emotionally alienated from each other. I'm responsible for my life. The actions/inactions from my woman should not be allowed to drive me into another woman's bosom. Its a decision I took back then. Its still working for me.....
I have vowed never to follow those errand emotions anymore. Being keeping that promise for over 4 years! Men cheat because they WANT to. Nothing more!
Conclusion: The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God us eternal life! |

Learnt an important lesson today. Thanks for sharing. Twaci: I have a very troublesome younger brother. He is our last born, about 3-4yrs, and always manages to get on everyone's nerves, one way or the other.
Whenever he gets on my mum's bad side, she would beat him and he would come running to me. I would ask him what he did wrong, admonish him and place his head on my laps. Then, I would sing his fav. song (My bonnie) to him while I tap him to sleep. Then he would wake up happy and ready to 'find' another person's trouble.
Well yesterday, I got into a row with my mum. We exchanged words and got slapped. In tears, I ran to my room and my little bro followed me.
He sat beside me for sometime and then asked softly, "An-twaci....." (Mind u, he is the one responsible for my moniker), "....what did you do?".
I stared back dumbly. I couldn't tell him. So I settled with, "I spoke back to mummy. Its a very bad thing to do".
He nodded, then tapped his small laps, "Lie down".
I stifled a surprised smile and obeyed gently knowing that my full weight would hurt him, "Okay".
Then he said, "Don't talk back at mummy, u hear?". I nodded, "Okay".
To my further surprise, he tapped my head gently and sang "My bonnie".
I smiled and feigned sleep cause I knew he wouldn't stop till I had slept. When he was sure I had 'slept-off', he dozed off in the same position.
This experience taught me a lot about a child's love and I thought I should share it. Children learn from the way u treat them, either good or bad. How do u treat them? (Food for thought).
NB: I apologized to mumsi and we are good now.
Do recount your experiences with kids (yours children or not), let's learn from the 'ants'. |

Career › Re: 20 Ways To Improve The Quality Of Your Life by bosunjohns(m): 7:58pm On Mar 09, 2015 |
felibrain: As humans we all want a good life but the question becomes how do I improve the quality of my life? The quality of your life largely depends on your day to day activities. Let's quickly run through some things you need to either start or stop doing to enjoy a better life. WARNING : I will try to be as brief as possible but if I end up writing a long piece please take your time to read through. You didn't pay me for this, just read but if you don't read now a time will come when you may have to pay to read my writings. Lol it's not a threat.....
1. Stop procrastinating. Procrastination is one of the most effective weapons the devil has used and is still using to hold people down so as to steal what belongs to them. There are many ideas you may have conceived but laziness has not allowed you to put it to use, you keep saying today, tomorrow. Hmmmmmm. My brother/sister you will be poor ooo.
2. Stop living a loose life. At times I feel like crying when I see how carelessly some people live. How would a lady for heaven sake attend a birthday party, drink herself to stupor and lie down on the corner of the street till morning? Someone knows he is poor yet he wants to date and sleep with every girl around. Think about this.
3. Start celebrating other people's success. I know you understand this. There are people who just hate it when others make progress. They feel it should have been them. This habit has never and will never take you far.
4. Stop being an idiot. There are many forms of idiocy but here I'm referring to those who laugh over everything. They never take anything serious. You will die young ooo (not you).
5. Stop masturbating/watching pornography. This is not a religious write up hence I won't want to delve into whether masturbation or pornography is a sin or not. All I can tell you is that it reduces the quality of your life. Masturbation is addictive and ones you start you will begin to seek isolation at all times (so as to have full privacy to......). With time this isolation habit will translate to a low self esteem and a lack of confidence. This lack of confidence will affect every area of your life. Lest I forget you tend to loose memory easily.
6. Stop trying so hard to please everyone. I said this before. Most times that I have failed it was because I was trying to please one or more 'gods' Pleasing everyone will make you feel indebted to them as if your life depends on them. RUBBISH!
7. Don't make God your enemy. You are dead without God.....
8. Stop wasting your energy on relationship related matters. Seriously I'm guilty of this. I'm a guy who loves with all my being. Today I was just thinking of my woman in the vehicle and I felt like I heard a voice saying 'Felix if you start channeling all these your thoughts to business related issues you will be exceedingly rich. Why should you be wasting your energy?' unfortunately for me I just can't stop but I'm telling you to. Lol.
9. Stop smoking weed. You will die young.
10. Stop sleeping around. If you are a guy I know your semen won't dry up neither will your clitoris cut as a female but whether you want to believe it or not, every sex out of wedlock will culminate in curses and misfortunes.
11. Never stop learning. Unfortunately for this part of the world (Africa) we live in a society where many people walk about with big heads but dead brains. How will Africa develop? The day you stop learning that day you die. I perceive I will be a very 'wicked' father because I will prepare a learning journal for my children where they must write down what new thing they learn daily. Seem like I'm asking you to be my child. But seriously, go learn a skill. There are things which I reluctantly learned online but they are earning me plenty of money today.
12. Let your YES be YES and your NO be NO..
13. Learn to give freely but don't give to please, give to assist and you will be blessed.
14. Think big. If I tell you that nations will gather to listen to me don't laugh at me, I'm only thinking big. The difference between the rich and the poor is their way of thinking and not the money. Within the period when Dantata gave Dangote 5k to start a business I'm sure that there are poor people today who had 10k in those days.
15. Be creative. Do you know why MTN and Etisalat is still in business? They roll out new plans everyday to tempt you to spend more. That's creativity!
16. Be teachable. I was telling some youths the other day that anytime you stop being teachable you will stop being amiable and when you stop being amiable you loose favour. Personally I easily hate people who feel they know.
17. Build your self esteem. Maybe this is a topic for another day but just know that no body will carry you higher than you carry yourself. As a lady it will be irresponsible for you to respond to any guy who calls you on the street by saying SSSSS, SSSSS. Is that your name? Yet you turn because you are desperate for a husband. Lol. For the guys Hmmmmmm. If you see a girl you want but you can't even walk up to her to at least strike up a good conversation, man you need some cane. Even on Facebook, if I chat with you on 3 occasions and in each you replied me with k and 5n or tnx, babe you don go be that ooo. Or you came for an interview and you are shivering, no work for you.
18. Care for your parents. You will enjoy life.
19. Don't be too desperate. Naturally when people notice you are desperate for something they derive more pleasure in denying your request. I'm not saying you shouldn't lobby for that huge contract oooo because if you go broke i won't be there.
20. Learn to say thank you and to apologise when you are wrong.
Did I touch any part of your life with this? Say No at your own risk...... |

Health › Re: Benefits Of Drinking Water On An Empty Stomach by bosunjohns(m): 3:30pm On Mar 05, 2015 |
nnamdibig: Hydration is super important for several reasons, first your body is composed of about 60% water, fluids exit our bodies every minute, from skin evaporation, breathing and urine, and these losses must be replaced daily for good health.
Good benefits of drinking water in the morning: 1. Drinking water on an empty stomach cleans the colon, making it easier to absorb nutrients. 2. Creates the production of new blood and muscle cells. 3. Essential for weight loss, drinking cold water first thing in the morning can accelerate your metabolism. 4.Healthy looking Skin, water helps to eliminate toxins from the blood making your skin glow and look clear and smooth. 5. Balances your Lymph System. These glands help you perform your daily functions, balance your body fluids, and fight infection.
WATER METHOD TREATMENT There is a new trend coming from Japan these days: Japanese drink hot tea with their meals and use a treatment method that has no side effects and it consists on drinking water at certain times with certain amounts along the day starting first thing in the morning, at the start of the treatment frequent urination is normal, it had been found successful by a Japanese medical society as a 100% cure for many diseases and illnesses such as: Headache, body ache, heart system, arthritis, fast heart beat, epilepsy, excess fatness, bronchitis asthma, TB, meningitis, kidney and urine diseases, vomiting, gastritis, diarrhea, piles, diabetes, constipation, all eye diseases, womb, cancer and menstrual disorders, ear nose and throat diseases. Drinking cold water: -Side effects of drinking cold water with a meal: all the oils in the food you are consuming will solidify meaning it will not only slow the digestion process but then it will react with the acid breaking down and the intestine will absorb the food faster, turning into fat, opt for drinking hot soup or warm water after a meal instead.
METHOD OF TREATMENT: 1. In the morning before brushing teeth, drink 4 x 160ml glasses of water 2. Brush and clean the mouth but do not eat or drink anything for 45 minutes 3. After 45 minutes you may eat and drink as normal. 4. After 15 minutes of breakfast, lunch and dinner, do not eat or drink anything for 2 hours 5. For older and sick people taking the treatment: drink little water and gradually increase it to 4 glasses per day 6. The above method of treatment will cure diseases of the sick too The following list gives the number of days of you should follow the process to treat this diseases: 1. High Blood Pressure (30 days) 2. Gastric (10 days) 3. Diabetes (30 days) 4. Constipation (10 days) 5. TB (90 days)

The US showed no heart beat anymore and it was confirmed dead and i needed to do an evacuation immediately, it was done d following day. I blve the cause of the MC was just stress, both physical and emotional stress. It was very hard to get over it tho but am glad i have taken in again almost 5mths now. Evina: Wow! I really don't like it when people go all "you ought to know better", but man of God, I can't help but point out your errors.
You saw the signs! Both the subtle and glaring signs, but you chose to satisfy the desires of your carnal nature! When you started calling and texting and enjoying the rush of excitement and excusing those feelings for something harmless and innocent and trusting in your ability to stay disciplined, it was clear that you had already embraced temptation.
Anyways, now that the sin is committed, search yourself deeply. Are you truly sorry? Do you truly desire repentance? Then genuinely confess your sins to God and apply the blood of Jesus over your error, because He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness.
Then, take steps to cease ALL forms of communication with that ex! I am not really a fan of confessing your sins to pastors, I mean, is it to get counselled or what?
As for wifey, I don't think it is wise to tell her because you will just open an endless tap of suspicion. Being that she is very emotional, it could lead to everlasting distrust.
Next time, tell her when you meet the ex. Be open about your relationships with others, that is one way to check yourself from falling. |
Properties › Re: The Lessons I Learnt While Building My House by bosunjohns(m): 11:36pm On Mar 02, 2015 |
drkay: I just completed my small house, a 3 bedroom all en-suite bungalow somewhere in abeokuta. I must confess, I got a lot of encouragement and useful info on this site. Thanks to people like Hajji Mufutau, Muyesky, Segzy etc for their educating posts on property section. I open this thread to encourage under 30s like me, its not too early to start. So, these are the lessons I learnt while building my house.
Lesson 1. Prepare to spend beyond your budget. I budgeted about 3 million naira but I end up spending above 4million naira.
Lesson 2. Its good to Get somebody that is experienced and trustworthy to supervise ur project or guide you, he shouldn't be staying too far from the site and he must alwz be available when his service is needed.
Lesson 3. Its good to get quotation for any purchase or service from at least 3 sources before going further to buy it. Although, the best may nt be the cheapest. My close friend supplied all my doors and I later found out that the 2 security doors that he supplied are inferior to what I ordered for and I could have bought all the doors @ a neighbouring shop @ 45k cheaper with no hassle. He supplied me frm lagos and I spent heavily for transport all in the name of patronising a friend who did nt even hesitate to cheat me.
Lesson 4. Its good to be nice to ppl who are already living around the site, they'll help in protecting your things. My Geepee tanks were almost stolen by some guys, thanks to my neighbours.
Lesson 5. Its good to give the omoniles something when they come around bt don't be too nice cos they'll keep coming in different groups. They almost turn me to their ATM but I enjoy their company. They help in telling us about people selling fraudulent lands and I do advice my frnds to stay away from them.
Lesson 6. Its good to trust people working for you until you catch them red handed. I made this mistake while building my house and I regret it. For instance, my tiler gave me a quotation of the tiles I was going to need my taste, a frnd told me to reduce each of them by 4 cartons because its more than what he used while working on his building which is relatively of similar size. Unfortunately, the tiles where nt enough, It took me over 2 week to get the same design of tiles which I was already using. I even took someone else there to do the measurement and its almost the same thing the first guy gave me. that was after purchasing the tiles.
Lesson 7. Its good to go to the market with your plumber and your electrician so that you can chose your choice among the various designs of light, sink, closet, basin and the likes, I had to change some lights and showers because I wouldn't have chosen them if had gone with them to purchase those things..
Lesson 8. The best time to start building is as soon as you have a land to build on. You can start with any amount, don't wait till you have 100% of you budgeted amount. I started with 300k. Best wishes.
NB: am inviting nairalanders to my house warming on march 22nd, 2015. Venue will be announced on request. Picture of my house later. Congrats Bro! |

Men are polygamous in nature, condoms might be used for other reasons( like fetching water), quit snooping around,we are mortals, it must have been used by his friend, don't get him angry when confronting him etc. Why can't men and women strive to be faithful to their partners and quit justifying their evil acts? Being faithful is not impossible. it may be difficult but its attainable. And should you slip and cheat, please don't be smart about it. being defensive and cooking up reasons for cheating ain't cool. when you cheat on your partner, you destroy him or her. if you are caught and instead of being sorry, u feel on top of the world, you reduce your partner to nothing. cheating isn't cool in anyway. be with a partner who makes ur heart beat fast each time u set eyes on him or her. don't settle for less, or money, sex, good looks etc |

eleojo23: This is a case of congenital amputation. Most birth defects occur in the first three months of pregnancy when the organs of the fetus are forming. During the crucial first weeks, frequently before a woman is aware she is pregnant, the developing fetus is most susceptible to substances that can cause birth defects (teratogens). Exposure to teratogens can cause congenital amputation
There is no known way to prevent congenital amputations, but the prevention of birth defects in general begins with the well being of the mother before and during pregnancy. Prenatal care should be clear and comprehensive, so that the mother understands both her genetic risks and her environmental risks.
Studies have suggested that a multivitamin including folic acid may reduce birth defects, including congenital abnormalities. Smoking , drinking alcohol, using recreational drugs or drugs not prescribed by a physician and having a poor diet while pregnant may increase the risk of congenital abnormalities. Daily, heavy exposure to chemicals is also thought to be especially dangerous for pregnant women. |

2. Ask the distributor to provide the manufacturer's contact.Failure to provide the manufacturer's contact, please don't patronize such company, it is an indication that they are selling "fake/inferior" stone coated roofing tiles.
3. The thickness must be 0.55mm
4. The price range is #3,200(New zealand and belgium), #2,600 to #2,900(South Korea) per sqm and for the design that comes with two colour combination. Shingle is #2900 per sqm.Any price below this range is a "fake/inferior" stone coated roofing tile.
5. The manufacturer's warranty must be 50yrs.
6. Ask the distributor to provide the certificate of Dealership/Origin from the manufacturer, if they can't provide that, it means they deal with "fake/inferior" stone coated roofing tile.

Igunnu: Point is we all wont be asked the same questions as panelists, our results, discipline and cv will differ. But all the same this might help.
The panelist introduce themselves and their positions one after the other and then you introduce your self when they are done. You should have made photocopies of your cvs and results so each one of the panelist will be presented with it by a secretary or so.
They look at your ssce results and and ask you qns like in my case I had B2 in chemistry so they asked me some questions about how best to separate water from petrol, asked some other chemistry qns, look through it again check for subjects I did well and then pop a qn or two. Then finally jumped to my cv asked me about my ND project (that is where I messed up, I almost had no idea, i sha used brain to cover up but it was clear they had me on that one), looked over again and asked some other qns all related to my cv and experience.
So my final advice is know ya cv, dont say you can do what you know you can not do in your cv just to polish it up or make it superb. Dont fake your experience, be sure you can defend everything you have on it.
Again best of luck to everyone. |

pompido: Well, back then we had a panel of about 5 - 8 people conducting the interview (and there were different panels for different sets of people).
Standard interview questions were:
Tell us about yourself what do you know about NNPC List 3 or 4 subsidiaries of NNPC (acronym and full meaning). might want to know what some of them actually do questions related to individual CV and specialty Some general questions which vary depending on the mood in the room your question(s)
Back then, each interview session lasted about 15mins per person.
It should be a lot sterner this time around because the spirit is high...... |
