Then she stays longer and be questioned in the next application?? I always make my intention clear on application form and MIL sometimes spends 6 months on the dot. (maybe 2 or 3 days less ) Oggg: pls dnt write 5 months stay in your invitation letter, worse still if it is the 1st time she is applying for a UK visit visa. U will ruin her chances. Put a lesser duration for the visa application. When u get the visa, u can change ur plans |

This can be either: up to 1 week before, if your course lasts 6 months or less up to 1 month before, if your course lasts more than 6 months" DeehoneyHomes: Please when is the earliest on can enter UK ; someone said it's 2 months before start of course but I read on the thread that it's one month.

For 10 year long residence ILR, it does count. HollyMadison: The 2 years post-study doesn’t count towards ILR. Just try and get work/ Tier 2 visa, or this new global talent visa. |

I usually advise students go for 2 years for those interested. In the event that you do not get a placement, uni will then ask you to do your project early and you go still dey entitled to PSW anyways wizzy2021: Do you think the one year option is better? I was actually thinking of 2 years because of the money involved. I already have the real industry experience as I have been working in that field for 7 years now. But the 2 years is also as a result of pushing everything to 4 years and hopefully pushing towards 10y year's Long stay for ILR. |

Getting a ban in Canada doesn't technically mean you are banned from trying UK. I can't speak of the other countries listed as I do not know how they operate but as long as you are truthful on your UK student visa application about previous immigration history (that's if you intend to apply) and meet the requirements. Ee worse pass them go grill you with questions. All the best Krissy01: Hi guys I need your honest opinion on this, like put yourself in my shoes and tell me what you would do. ok so I started this studying abroad journey back in 2019 I was fresh out of high school and didn't plan on schooling in Nigeria,
Canada has always been the only country on my mind. So I apply to one school in Canada, university of Manitoba, Winnipeg I was granted admission in November 2019 and applied for visa December of that same year, my decision envelope came and I was denied because of insufficient fund not because I didn't have the money the account I used wasn't funded. so we funded the account and applied again and I forgot to add am not the only one going it's me and my sister, and when I mean wasn't funded the money there wasn't enough for two people. So we funded the account and applied again in February 2020 and yes we we're using an agent so I didn't get any response from the embassy till October when only passport was returned without it being stamped and a little note which says Decision making is still in progress, final decision not taken I found that weird but since they gave a reasons I kept on waiting, sending emails and webforms till February when I reached out to my agent and he said he got a mail from IRCC and he needed to see us privately and I was like wondering what went wrong so we met up with him only to tell me I've been banned from Canada for 5years for misrepresentation. Turns out IRCC already sent him an email since October to respond to clear their suspicion about misrepresentation and my agent didn't respond to them neither did he let us know about it until he was arrested, This was the same for my sister. I posted that on nairaland asking for you guys help and so on, i was told to avoid these countries:US UK Australia and New Zealand because they share the same database with Canada. Now I've searched for countries and I've come to the decision that Germany was ok for both me and my sister I've even picked two schools already and yes I'm going for a Bachelors degree and I plan to study anything relating to business, it could be marketing, business admin.,management e.t.c.
So now I've spent 2yrs at home already and all my classmate are in school and I don't want to waste this year again on a country that would waste my time and money then not grant me visa and with what am seeing they said booking Appointment date with Germany is like asking the Nigerian government to pass a death sentence bill for (financial) corruption which is a first red flag for me like I don't have have another year to waste I want my application to move smoothly. my question is do you have any know country that I could try I mean put yourself in my shoes and tell Me what you would do? At this point I'm confused and No schooling in Nigeria is not an option neither is schooling in Ukraine Cyprus or turkey so pls I need as much opinions as I can get. I also forgot to add that my mom is my only sponsor and I'm the only one running my application myself |

No issues to the 2 questions oppsonn: Happy New Month
Can a family member that lives outside the country help a self Sponsored student to pay part payment of the tuition fee ? And hope they wont be any issue.
Will previous Visa denial affect the chances of getting Visa approval from the Embassy. |

No offence but you keep asking this same questions over and over again. I took my time to even highlight all the checklists. It's the same from what everyone has said. https://www.nairaland.com/3253552/applying-flr-after-initial-uk/17#89843293profemebee: Congrats once again....
Apologies for my wahala but the problem is that one doesn't get to see the checklist until submission of application.
Please did you screenshot or save it somehow? so we know when there are new requirements ahead of time.
Thanks. |

Not sure why you are confused as you stand zero chance of winning. This is exactly the reason why build accounts are inadvisable as repeatedly said by justwise on this same thread. Sherynna: Ok.. These are the details.
He applied with his dependants.
He had more than the required balance in his account for about 36 days.
Did biometrics 18th January
Took out all the funds after 36days
But application was still with UKVI
Got interviewed on 24th Feb
Got a refusal mail because their investigation shows the funds have left the account.
Now someone is suggesting he goes for Admin review... We are confused now and don't know what to do... |

This is your choice really. It's all about meeting up with the requirements and money needed. They only interview main applicants esp if application is not straightforward. Any refusal doesn't affect as long as it's declared. tpain22: Hello House, Am new here. We family of 3 are about to apply for UK student visa next week, our agent said we should apply together I want to know your advice if it's better to apply separately.. Also is there going to be an interview and if yes is it just the primary applicant or all of us that will attend the interview? Lastly will an Australian refusal be na issue? My agen said it won't. |

@Bolded is all that matters geawears: GUYS PLEASE HELP OUT ON THIS.
I've been a very silent reader and I've learnt a lot.
This UK thing just came up between me and my intelligent fiancée. Now everything seems like a rush as we are targeting September intake.
Based on our plan, she will be applying to study in a school in the UK while she's still single (maybe she might declare herself engaged, don't know if that's possible), then we will get married before her visa application for her to add me as her spouse traveling with her Under the Tier 4 visa.
My question is, can this fly? Given that she was unmarried before CAS issuance then she got married After the issuance but before visa application. URGENT REPONSE BIKO MY PPL |

At the time of your application, you are surely right to say you were single which is fine. There's no legal requirement for you to change your name (unless you want to). Your partner can apply with all the necessary documents to prove your marriage / relationship is genuine and subsisting. Documents like marriage certificate, chats, calls, wedding pictures etc. Islamiat01: @justwise @mimlyrics and other people in the house, please I want to ask what to do. My husband wants to apply for dependent visa but let me explain this - I applied for student visa as (Single) last year Dec 8 and I was granted the visa Jan 11. During my visa application processing I was single and after applying for my visa I got married Dec 30 before my visa came out Jan 11.The question now is do I need to change my name on my passport and my status to (married) before the commencement of my hubby processing or I should ignore and explain to the UKVI why I’m not having the same name with my hubby? ***Note - I’m already in the UK. Please I need your responses on this issue. Thanks |
