My response in summary; every religion is biased against women and the poor. Men and the rich enjoy more under religion. Woman and the poor suffer more under religion.

However, Christianity is primarily not a religion, but a lifestyle of Christ. Jesus Christ never introduced any religion or man-made doctrine except reemphasizing the laws of the old as directly delivered by God through His prophets. All these laws were summarised into LOVE.

Any other thing outside love of God and neighbours is simply an overdo and this is what africans are known for. I believe Deeper people have realized their mistakes over the years and they have made tremendous corrections. Nobody is perfect. I believe they had those doctrines out of good intentions.

It would be nice if they state it openly that they made mistakes, and that there are corrections to their doctrine. This quiet way of going about it makes it look more like hypocrisy than amendment.

I agree with you but they were not lying to people. They only formed their doctrine based on their level of understanding then but now they know better. Just as their members have started driving cars, watching TV and wearing suits, I believe other extremism behaviours will fade out with time.
