Try this bible 'GNT Then death and the world of the dead were thrown into the lake of fire.
NWT And death and the Grave* were hurled into the lake of fire.
The JW's believe there is no hell as a place for eternal torment and suffering. Instead they say that hell is only the grave.
However, they base their belief on a few verses where the words Sheol and Hades were translated as grave or pit.
The problem with this is that the references that are used deny the context of what is being presented. When you look at the context you find many problems with translating Sheol and Hades as a grave, which is normally the Hebrew word qeber.
There are many graves, but only one Sheol or Hades. Man can put someone in the grave (qeber), but never puts anyone in Sheol or Hades
{1 Kings 13:29-30}
Man can touch a grave (qeber), but does not touch Sheol or Hades {Numbers 19:16} Someone can have their own grave (qeber), but the Bible never speaks of each person having their own Sheol, or Hades! {2 Samuel 3:32}

It's OK that everyone carries the Bible and explained it as 'the spirit' grants them the interpretations,so each person is FREE to make a public presentation of what 'the spirit' reveals to him without trying to deprive others from considering interpretations from other sources! Jesus is from Nazareth{Israel},he lived 2,000 years ago,all that anyone can say about him is within what's recorded in the Bible. I think since everyone can read it,simple presentations is enough to help interested persons to know who Jesus is without insulting,cursing or accusing others!

I'm sure Maximus came in to find out certain things he might be missing since they've got no time for preaching and teaching people unlike the JWs,but instead of being mindful of his field so that they comport themselves in an orderly manner with efficacy. Their envious attributes coupled with intense hatred for the truth erupted like a volcano, and each one started hitting wrongly even while trying to defend their fallacies before a military intelligence officer!
They reminded me of the false accusers paid by the Sanhenrin to come and testify against Jesus. Imagine when different individuals PAID to bear false witnesses are desperately trying to nail Jesus but can't make a good case,the Sanhendrin just drove all of them away to avoid constituting a nuisance before the Roman governor who is totally NEUTRAL! If you feel you can enter into the Kingdom of God through a back door-without Christ-you are on your own-David and Moses were men that lived by faith waiting for their promise-they were favoured by God, men that seen great signs and wonders-and still they were Jew's obeying the laws of the old covenant, until Jesus came to change the Old into a New covenant.

Jesus says, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” The flesh does have a kind of life.
Every human being is living flesh. But not every human being is living spirit. To be a living spirit, or to have spiritual life, Jesus says, we must be “born of the Spirit.” Flesh gives rise to one kind of life. The Spirit gives rise to another kind of life. If we don’t have this second kind, we will not see the kingdom of God.

Nigeria's problem regarding religious intolerance has not developed to the level those Asians are having presently due to religious fanaticm so no one can place you or i under such mind~reading gadget now. But with what i've seen and heard on this thread,i'm sure more than three quarter of Nigerians will be quarantined if the same machine is brought in here!

No that's not true-I remember a long time ago at a Pentecostal Church, two women walked in wearing JW's badges they decided to join the Church for the day, they came to test it, and later they brought more JW's to join with them, these women were testing their surroundings-they loved the music, they loved the preaching-no-one questioned them, and no one judged them, but praise the Lord, these women seen the light..
The Catholic Nun tested the Watchtowers surroundings 'nothing more, she may have heard things about the Watchtowers teachings-she wanted to see it for herself-after this day, she vanished, never to be seen again..
I myself have been to Kingdom hall-I wanted to see it, and I have taken others with me to see it too, every time I have visited kingdom hall you don't preach from the bible-but Watchtower magazines of stories made up with few scriptures to suit it's purpose..

Denying the bible won't help you walk with Christ.
It is important to know-reading the Word of God as it stands today-draws us closer to Christ-meaning it helps us understand who Christ is, and why He walked the earth, it gives us a understanding about truth, it helps us draw closer to Him who died for us, and saved us from the times to come.
Paul writes that “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God …” {2 Timothy 3:16} In some translations it even says that Scripture is God, breathed.
Have you ever thought about this huh

The Bible is inspired by God Himself! It is His Word, containing His wisdom, His goodness, His intentions, His judgements, His heart. Have you ever been so interested in understanding God’s will that you spend time with His very own Word?
Instead you take a piece from here, and a piece from there, and connect it to another Doctrines you believe are part of the puzzle, doctrines written by the Watchtower, men without the Spirit of God, "You may not see eye to eye with the bible as it stands-but I sure you not everything you claim that had been removed, "is removed from the bible-God speaks to us through His Word-God's Word is so powerful no-man can remove it's power.

Whoever is able to ORGANISE their followers to prove they know the PRACTICAL application of what the book{Bible} teaches is the WINNER! Such group are the ones that belongs to the true God whose people of ancient times were well organised! That's my take Sir!

As i've said earlier,i'm a military intelligence officer so we look at issues CRITICALLY from both sides to be certain of the danger zone.
Regarding being born again Jesus mentioned this just once in the Bible and it was never repeated in any other scripture. I believe it's a topic that requires THOROUGH meditation since the term born again came to lime light just within the twentieth century, there has been so many religious groups in the past and they weren't so keen on this born again issue. It all came with the new generation Churches, neither the Catholic, Anglican, Methodists, Presibitarian and other orthodox churches carry this matter on there head until the coming of these new generation Churches. Jehovah's Witnesses believe in been born again but not so fanatical about it like some will start trying to force the idea down your throat. To JWs born again simply means those going to rule with Christ in heaven and since flesh and blood can't live there of course they need another form of body and invitation from God to become one of the SELECTED ones hence the born again fully explained from their own interpretation.
So as i've often said Sir one need to be EXTRA careful on matters related to beliefs!

This is where the truth is, in the Word of God, any other doctrine found elsewhere that doesn't line up with the Word of God-is a lie from the beginning.
We should be testing the Spirit-testing every word that comes out of the mouth of a false prophet..

Jesus teaches as one having authority. {Matthew 7:28,29} Because he is the designated King and Judge in God's arrangement,so he can speak with authority but his followers only teaches within themselves what Jesus says regarding judgement day. Outsiders are called to come and examine what Jesus taught the Christians so as to conclude in their mind if Jesus truly worth being referred as the Christ.
You and i were not present when all these happened neither are we there when the books were written so today we need to be EXTRA careful because who knows if the JWs are the ones saying the truth!
Preaching and teaching God's word was commissioned by Jesus and we're seeing so many preachers using different tactics, you and i shouldn't come out saying this is right or wrong.

A law was signed by King Ahasuerus that all Jews{God's people} should be exterminated in all the earth! Of course God used Esther{Queen} to rescue his people! But the law was passed and sealed by the King. The headquarter of JWs in Russia is seized today and the international communities are calling on Russian government to bring the case to the European court but Russia says NO!
Please if the case is just why is Russian authorities shying away from coming to a neutral ground where lawyers from countries can interfere?
Well i'll reserve my comment until Russia agree to table the case before EU!
One thing i know is that God's people has been the target of world powers in times past so JWs may be God's true servants.

Jesus preached about this topic the most-their are stories written in the bible about the punishment we will face if we don't seek the truth..

Jesus had warned us in Revelation not to add nor remove the scriptures, sadly it doesn't say in Word-Michael came as Jesus--and you would prefer to teach this because you want the world to hear the bible does not hold the truth about the Son of God..

But we are not on the same page, these names you are mentioning, were all protected by God, these men walked with God, not everyone that claimed to know God were protected..Just look at this one photo of the JW's head office, someone had sinned against the law, no one had said anything about other offices around the world..

I'm not saying you must accept JWs as God's servants but since God's servants in Bible times were always accused of breaking the laws of the land in which they lived,then it's posible JWs can also be God's servants today!
What we need to do is to investigate which of the laws of the land did JWs go against? Please bear in mind these names
¤Shadrach,Meshach and Abednego. They refused to bow down to Nebuchadnezer's image in Babylon{which is unlawful}
¤Daniel was thrown into the lion's den. He refuse to stop praying towards Jerusalem while under Persian laws{which is unlawful}
¤Jesus was executed. He spoke against the chieftains in Israel{which is unlawful}
¤Apostles were arrested. They kept preaching and teaching in Jesus' name{which is unlawful}
Then find out what exactly is the offense of the JWs in those lands yet they've not been punished for such kind of laws in other lands?
Remember this is the human society and if JWs are truly committing a crime against the laws of any land,something corresponding supposed to happen in other lands since it's people that formed those laws!

Well if you don't like me to simply explain your answer then don't ask in the first place..
You can only mention Moses, not only Moses, every man woman and child serving God comes under some sort of an attack..
But also you need to understand disobeying the laws of the land is disobeying the laws of God-and there's always consequences to face.
And if a army of police have surrounded the Watchtower-it doesn't always mean it's a spiritual attack, it means the Watchtower have broken the law, and let us not forget the law was put in place for sinners to obey..
Usually when someone is walking with Jesus comes under the same condemnation as Jesus said we will, not anybody claiming to be Christian are walking with God, in most cases the flesh stops them from believing the truth about Emannual.

Moses lived all his life in pagan Egypt but Satan and his demons came after Moses has completed his mission,dead Moses now becomes the target NOT when he is still serving God. But Pharaoh {under the influence of Satan} sent soldiers to attack Moses and God's people!

Remember that both Jesus,his siblings and those who got him executed all claims to be worshipers of the same God of Abraham,Isaac and Jacob, so what went wrong.
So why not try to correlate all of these with the events leading to the accusations against Jehovah's Witnesses.

Johnw47 I can't afford to be led away by various lust inside the Church, I find my best times with Christ is spending more time with Him at home, I remember the day's I had fellowship in Church I felt I was backsliding-I wasn't being fed the spiritual foods I needed for my body.
{2 Corinthians 11:4} For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.
Well I can't put up with it-I am always seeking after the truth-I am much like you, we can't handle false doctrines, and we will back up the Word of God as it stands..
{Romans 8:38-39} For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
There is nothing that can separate us from Christ.
