rasheedatt:
As the topic say, I don't actually know why landlord hardly give out their houses to single ladies most especially in the northern part of Nigeria.
Is it wrong for a lady to seek for her own freedom?
Is it wrong for a lady to travel out alone for the purpose of hustling?
Not ashawo work o
Leaving your place to another place to find work. And in the process getting an apartment for yourself to accommodate you.
Why do people disapprove that for a lady?

....And so now is she above the age of consent?
She must have no one who cares about her enough to demand consent so she assumes the right herself it seems.

Let us not deceive ourselves, we Nigerians are highly sexualised and the age of consent is falling. If parents do not show their child the way many will consent by 11!

This one seems eloquent. It means she thinks. And while this is an error she's making, and very likely the end of her and boyfriend, greater things will evolve out of her pain.

Maybe the guy is that nice. And she's never been loved. He after all has "had a positive effect in her life".

If only her parent's had loved her more.

Kobojunkie:
How was Jesus political when His interactions were mainly with the religious teachers of the time, and never really directly with the romans who were the rulers of His day?
His teachings had quite a lot of political significance, I'd say, political being how we determine who governs and thereby, how.

Jesus was very heavy on the beam in one's own eyes instead of the twig in the eye of Romans. "If your eye is dim", he said, "so too would all your senses be dim". It's why he taught governance of the self. So we can produce it from the abundance of our hearts. Selfless serving, that is.

A house built without the input of that which is godly cannot stand, nor can a nation prosper without godly input.

was politics the only no no for you then? I asked because I wanted to know if you found anything really wrong with His preaching.
Jesus was political as were many of the prophets, so he is correct.

I haven't really studied his teaching enough and wrote what I wrote out of ignorance and a lack of judgement.

Christianity Etc › Re: Can Humans Ever Go Extinct? by budaatum: 11:54pm On Jul 03, 2020
raptex:
He said the extinction of these animals is the earth's way of cleansing itself and it would be the turn of humans to go extinct in the future but the earth would remain for a very long time.
That's one way of seeing I suppose, if one looks from the extinct perspective. Looking from the survival's perspective however, those that have survived might have done so because they adapted and thrived.

Human's have fortunately fed on the fruits of the tree of the knowledge and developed a consciousness that is aware that time extends far into the past and will extend much further into the future so we plan ahead to overcome conditions that might make us go extinct.

In fact, we are so far advanced in consciousness than our forebears who's thoughts came from the Gods, that we concern ourselves with the animals and trees that might be going extinct and have reversed some extinctions and even rather arrogantly assume we can stop the planet Earth from going extinct!

In the future sometime, by like the year of our Lord - though I doubt it will be called that - 4000AD, conscious beings will contemplate us humans of today as we contemplate homo sapiens of 300k ago.

They'd only say we were extinct if they somehow forgot they evolved from us, and considering how much we are talking and writing and opening threads on it, they'd have to be extremely stupid and ill-adapted that one should wonder how we survived so long. They sure would have deserved to have gone extinct long before us so even we today were extinct.

No, I don't think we humans will ever be extinct. I think the date will someday be 200,000AD and humans will have evolved into the conscious beings of the time and continue to survive provided we don't kill Earth first. And even then, some might survive on Venus until Mercury is ready for the life we've evolved into.

If you agree humanity is us, all of us, or at least as many as one decides to concern oneself with.

New questions have risen.......

What's grace ......?
Grace is the providence that one is.
That which without one is not.

Xavfra:
Don't you think all religious all almost all [are fraud]? ?
.......
Did you mean?

No, I do not think all religious are fraud, if by "religious", you mean, religious people. Not all religious people are fraud and neither are most.

Most religious people are thanking their Gods for their daily bread.

Game of Thrones

After a summer lasting almost ten years, the words of House Stark have finally become reality once again: winter is here. In King's Landing, Cersei Lannister has finally seized the power that she has craved for many years. In one swift move, she has eliminated nearly all of her enemies, rivals, and obstructions; Queen Margaery Tyrell, Lord Mace Tyrell, Ser Loras Tyrell, Cersei's uncle Ser Kevan Lannister, Grand Maester Pycelle, the High Sparrow, and most of - if not all - members of the Faith Militant were killed when the Great Sept of Baelor was destroyed using large amounts of wildfire, an event orchestrated by Cersei. She has crowned herself the undisputed Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, with Qyburn as her Hand and the undead knight Ser Gregor Clegane at her side. After nearly four decades of serving as the power behind the throne, House Lannister has finally become the new royal house. However, Cersei is still haunted by the prophecy she was told during her childhood, which claimed that the deaths of her three (future) children would predate her own; Joffrey, Myrcella, and Tommen are all dead, Tommen having taken his own life shortly after the Sept's destruction. This has made Cersei all the more determined to crush her enemies once and for all, but the number of her enemies has just increased exponentially. Though she now sits on the Iron Throne, she has effectively undone all of Tywin Lannister's efforts to ensure that his family stay in power as her actions have undoubtedly earned her the hatred of all of Westeros. Most of the realm is either in open rebellion against the Iron Throne or has fallen out of her allies' control, leaving Cersei effectively as the Queen of King's Landing and the lands owned by the Lannisters. It is the beginning of the end.

'to read to eat or to read to know'?
Obanikoro to Ketu standing inside molue is 10 kobo go 10 kobo come, that's 20 kobo. 20 kobo on molue that one could spend on book! So, trick conductor get to school am because it'll take you all am if you walk and you'd be late and Ketu-Obanikoro just rings wrong, but walk pm and save 50 kobo and yippee buy a book. It's only 6 miles, Obanikoro to Ketu, 10 kilometres if you wanna make it long and punish yourself.

Often, not the whole 50 kobo. Must eat and get home late and miss lunch and told off and smuggle the book inside the house and be up all night reading with the light of the neighbour who is better shining on to the book. But 20 kobo at least, a week. That's ₦1 a month for books plus cheap exercise and free transport.

Know to eat. Or starve!
