sonmvayina:We can not say the same about everywhere else unfortunately. We did not have the written word in Yorubaland, and Islam was taking over from our primitive understanding. I wouldn't have minded except one had to learn Arabic to read the Quran which would have made its understanding much more spurious than the translated to Yoruba Bible. I wonder if you'd claim to be doing well in your "village in oshimili North in delta state" if the likes of you had not acquired the vast knowledge about the world that you now have. Are you not better off than the villager in "oshimili North in delta state"? Would you have heard of the Torah? |
|
sonmvayina:The Torah was the tribal book of the Israelites. The equivalent of stories about Orunmila in Yoruba culture, which they pretty much kept to themselves. It was not meant for Gentiles like you, and would have likely died off without Jesus repackaging and Christian advertising and salesmanship. The Israelites definitely would not have shared their Torah with anyone, least with you and still don't, as far as I can tell. |
MJBOLT:Lol |
Michellekabod2:I am dissapointed in buda too for dignifying this cesspool with comments. |
sonmvayina:Even if it was written in the old testament that "God said he was sending his son to come and die for sins", does that mean a God actually sent his son to come and literally die for sins? Could the Jesus story not just be exactly that, a story, or mythology? Does it have to be literally true for humans to derive benefit from its reading? I've said it and would say it again. Just trying to prove the "story" wrong makes you wiser. There's no way you'd bother learning what you have learnt if someone hadn't told you the "story" and if you hadn't read it yourself, and to be honest with you, I'd rather that than the total ignorant people most would be without it. If someone hadn't sold you the Jesus story, you be here touting just some other story, and there's no guarantee it would be any truer nor the world or you be any better. "Die for sins"! What a joke! To "teach you the errors of your ways", more like. |
milemimi93:Do all "naija women" let you fuq them for iphone or 5k? Did you miss the questions about a significant relative of your's, or do you think I ignorantly generalise like you do? |
Amujale:Make me jog along, I beg you please. |
milemimi93:You, obviously. Fuq olosho for 5k come here de boast as if na only una get priq. Smh. |
milemimi93:The way you "see it" is what is wrong here, and we are asking you to open your eyes so you can see better. |
milemimi93:You are funny, lol. |
milemimi93:Sticking your diq in is a relationship. Stopping you is ending it. |
jeruzi:I do not agree that Fulani and boko haram are killing farmers in Aba and Warri and Ibadan and Oyo! The indigenes of those places are not so spineless, as far as I know, that some foreign people would come on their father's land and terrorise them! |
Amujale:This is not true! It has obviously not "been proven beyond reasonable doubt that Jesus is a fictitious character that was invented by the Romans", and the "majority of the genuine modern day historians" do not all agree that Josephus invented the Jesus story! You ruin your argument when you resort to the exact same behaviour you accuse the Bible authors of! You are asking to be believed without providing evidence (despite my assistance!). |
You already said you were not interested in her so why should she trust you'd be interested in her education? Smart girl. She can sell the iphone and fund herself and dump you afterwards. |
tee59:I don't think he's bashing women, he's just showing he doesn't have a brain. See. He can't spell!
|
Immature people like you don't deserve mature responses. |
DirtyGold:It is unfortunate that "believe there is God" tends to come from "Religion" which you have identified as the problem, which you've further shown by stating "doesn't have to make sense to you either", which just goes to show how much of a problem it can be. Imagine being asked to believe in the existence of a thing that makes no sense to you. Won't you ask why, at least? In fact, lets try it. Believe the earth is flat. Or that nothing evolves. Let me know how that goes. In my opinion, a god that requires stupidity and ignorance should be judged, found guilty, and taken to the bottom of the river and have its head bashed in so it stops existing, unless it wasn't that same god that put a brain in one's head hoping one would use it. An Almighty God cannot demand such ignorance and stupidity and would most definitely require understanding or would not have bothered sending so many prophets and Jesus Christ to come teach you about God! Things that exist are known and not merely believed like satan is said to believe and tremble. |

Kapeter:No. You know the story you know. It does not seem to be everyone's story, as you can clearly see. |
Most don't know Yorubas have an Obatala against Oduduwa battle. If we were going to chose a name out of the two, it might not be the newcomer. https://www.nairaland.com/1487566/obatala-oduduwa-ile-ife#18993197 |
azimo:I know. See me being free with my speech. |
kkins25:Haven't seen any of them so can't comment on how they compare to Breaking Bad. My 2019 watchlist is Mayan MC, Succession, The Americans and Killing Eve (season one only). It's all I could bring myself to watch. I got a book on Einstein I want to read first then might consider Genius. I'm old school, the sort who'd watch Catherine Janeway and loves 7of9, but could not stand Picard, though I love Bellana Torres. Dialogue trumps thrills, I suppose, and I do like a good twist. Just found out there's a Star Trek: Discovery. It would have to compete with my latest on Greenspan though as I'd rather a good book but unfortunately I go blind, which is where boxsets come in. They give my eyes a rest.
|
kkins25:Depends what you like I guess. What exactly do you like? |
azimo:They are begging you to come and live there. If you don't go they will all die so please go and live there, pretty please. We shall move all the Arabs to Naija when you arrive. |
CaptainMeks:Don't mind them! See as Fulani de collect visa to herd cattle in Fort Worth, Texas! Where are those who blame Fulani herdsmen for killings in church.
|
Kiddo01:You were stolen from and should demand redress. And next time find a way to protect your work so it isn't stolen. The fact people call themselves pastors does not make them virtuous. In fact, smart crooks call themselves pastors to delude and scam knowing some would think they are gods. |

MrPresident1:Why should I leave "the lady" alone? Did she complain to you that I should or are you just poking your nose in someone else's business? I have done my own research and it does not agree with that of whom I asked it of. Unlike you, I do believe "the lady" might have come across something I might have missed and don't mind being educated. |
LordReed:Ah, poor you. I had a Gulder with dinner. The Trophy is my second and I got 3 more chilling in the fridge for tomorrow or later tonight if thirst gets me. Products of my faith and my work, I daresay. |
