But how worst it is for you to spend all the years in the university, yet nobody is giving you the opportunity to defend it or even a chance to prove yourself because of the low grade, especially when your parent are not wealthy type that can connect you or give money to do business.
What I am saying in essence is that, if you want to work in a good place and you don't have enough connection, your grade makes you get the attention first before proving your personality. Without that, no chance to prove yourself because graduates with even good grade are too many to screen, not to talk of considering other.
Your result out of schools has lot of pictures to portray about your school like, even if it is fake, but that's the reality today. Assuming I am your father with good grade from university, and you as my child gets a third class from the university. Later, somebody (a friend of yours) told me you didn't serious while you were in school, attending all parties, not attending lectures and the likes. Please tell me why I shouldn't believe that person? Simply because your result/grade attest to that, so I will believe... THE RESULT/GRADE SHALL JUSTIFY THE MEANS... The world is watching you!!!

Be wise in all your dealings and get the best for yourself first at each stage, because one good step leads to another good step and like that.

Am saying this from experience. Most ladies are pretenders when it comes to love. They pretend they don't love you or don't care about you but deep inside, they love you so much. At times they even display some characteristics thay make you feel, you are a burden to them but deep inside, they badly need you.
I meet this beautiful lady in my working place of recent. We became friends and there after I began to have feeling for her. We went on a date and I open my heart to her how I feel for her. She declined and she said we can't be lovers, that she has someone she loves. I felt so bad... I never gave up, I still kept on calling, sending mails and gift to her and she always appreciate. I have met over 30 first class students from private unis brother you can say they dont like stress, you can say because of the decadence in our public school they might not have made a 1st class but trust me on this one THEY ARE SMART! VERY VERY SMART.

in 2012, accounting UNILAG (at least you cant say UNIBEN is better than UNILAG now) produced about 15 1st class students, upon inquiry i discovered that they were all professional students, some already chattered while the rest are almost chattered I mean ACCA, ICAN hence it gave them a boost and it was quiet easy to do a 1st

same thing goes to the private uni i know some of them even make ICAN very compulsory (baba person wen don tear ICAN or ACCA except your lecturer na whinch e go de easy to do first class for accounting now)

Acidosis: There are some parents who wouldn't send their wards to OAU or UI even if their wards score 399 in JAMB. Not everyone love a rough life amidst cultists, uncultured elements, congestion, stress, struggles, reading with candle sticks, queueing for water, harrasment, intimidation, etc.

Op you are very correct. Private university is like advanced secondary school. Most of them always wish, they attend a public university because of the monotonous life they live there. Schools where lecturers beg students to learn and where they monitor you if you are still reading or have slept.
Private university life is so boring i must confess because some secondary schools are even more social and fun-filled than them. for me it is for those that were not opportune to gain admission in public...

This made me independent and employer of labours till date. I still graduated with a second class upper. So its all about time management and focus... Think about something and start, even if its small today, it can become big tomorrow. Government has failed hence can't employ everybody. The labour market is crowded and the "white collar jobs are very few". Don't let you academic grades or certificate intimidate or hinder you... The potentials might just be there. Its a continuous drop of water that makes an ocean... You can do it.
