how did the personal computer really pick up? looking into the history of hacking.


people formed groups to make what we have today come into existence. the good thing about IT is that you should never ever reject any thing or any idea. you will be so surprised to know how people with stupid and ridiculous idea make it today.

it is a crazy world. dont count off anything as being useless or never going to work.

how many certifications are you going to take, new versions of platforms come out and you still will be required to match up to the updated platform and that will probably mean you will also have to take the newer certifications. IT is very volatile. I will not recommend people to take certification exams that is just my opinion

the resolution on the tv is not a problem it can work fine depending on the type of tv u r using and your graphics card. obviously it will look better on flat screen display than on a tube. so its all what you u have to work with that will determine. if you are going to buy a new tv just for this well you can as well get ea 22inch tv monitor for less than 300 bucks if u r into resolution.

your interpretation of the word CONSTRUCTIVE or CRITICISM may be different from mine. As someone said we should give mild suggestions. well how is mild going to help. It is better to put everything down so you know what you have to deal with and you know what corrections and changes you have to make.

If you cannot handle the opinions of people what they suggest or comment about. well you can as well keep things closed. Whatever people write, either extremely great or extremely bad. everything is good depending on how you accept and what you do to make things better. Hopefully next time a link is submitted, the person involved will already have ideas as what not to do so as not to be given bad comments if you think of it that way.

I almost had a heart attack. This is absolutely horrible. flashing menu, poor user interface, horrible color scheme, borders, different heights for title bars include some padding, menu inconsistency

wtf look at your stylesheet you have id names from layer1 to layer35 or so. why not give real reasonable names. This is extremely horrible. phew

yea yea yea obviously web apps are predominant now across all industries. Well what happened when there was an earthquake in asia recently, with underwater cables breaking and taking weeks to repair. Connections to and from china and other asian countries were extremely limited.

If you are entirely dependent on web based application. well it is always adviceable to have a backup plans when something like this happens, datacenter fires, robbery, natural disasters etc that can be damaging to a business. well non-web based applications also have their faults but have less factors to take into consideration before deployment

everything is risk.

I wish the IT industry can be somewhat stable. everyday new things come out it is crazy. though great for development it is really overwhelming. I spend more time looking for the best implementations possible and less time with design.

you GOT a software not that you created the software, well why would they want to buy from you if the software is already on market. If it is software, what can beat SKYPE, FRING, and one other one with a G i think. SKYPE is proven, tested and has an option for a business implementation. what about original licenses by the maker of the software, what advantage do you have. so why can't they go to the manufacturers and buy directly that is if they don't know. FYI, software alone cannot reduce the cost of teleconferencing. You may have to get better connection, maybe computers for everybody that may need it. So why can't they just tell most employees to install skype and voila there we go. you have to consider infrastructure required. I can pretty much bet its a VOIP. then you have to set up gateways and other things that will be required. so pretty much tending towards changing their architecture or adding to their architecture. If they are adding well that will definitely increase cost of operation. why would they want to change their systems without going through several stages of testing and deployment. what type of support will you provide as it seems you may be a lone man. Have you done businesses with other institutions in different industry. Even with VOIP I am not familiar with the most advanced type of connection in Nigeria, the VOIP system will definitely require a lot of bandwidth if it is deployed in an organisation with different location. Do you have a business outfit or you are a software salesman. are you linked with original manufacturer. Is your software optimised for small business or enterprise environment?

Those are basic things or questions to consider before setting up meetings with a potential client. If what you say is true you have to be thinking of things like that. Starting with a financial institution in my opinion is very very risky. If what you mean will truely work then it is applicable to other businesses. Why not look for a small business that is willing to test and then you can use them as a reference to the success of your implementation. From there things will be easier as you will have a real world reference to a working example.

If this is supposed to be for teleconferencing ONLY, meetings etc, that means maybe only 2 or 3 rooms will be needed and only authorised uses will be required to use the conferencing rooms. That also means they are not reducing cost but adding to what they already have. Well, you will also have to convince business partners to change so they can match the banks system.

What is the use of the system if other companies that do business doesnt have the software you're referring to?

There are so many to think about I can't write all. Try to think of the most ridiculous and absurd questions that could be asked if you go to a meeting. If you can answer them good job if not. THink of another way to get across to them.

Someone last year wanted me to help setup an auction website. Then I asked what advantage do you have over ebay? no answer. Do you have a niche market? no answer. I know most people will say I was asked to helped so why didnt I just do it and get paid. well, in IT the goal is to have your works available for reference so other people can see. The more the better. Not that you work on something now and it disappears tomorrow. not cool men


so what advantage do you have over the likes of Skype, Fring etc?

what is wrong with looking at people, do you want men or women to be walking blindfolded or their eyes on you all the time?

If you are not secured in your relationship or u lack some level or trust, well bad for u tough luck. If you see a pretty person walking well there is absolutely nothing wrong in appreciating the beauty of nature. Looking does not necessarily mean he will go after her or she will go after him and cheat or something.

If you are scared, of your guy or girl, i guess you better have an open line of communication. I just wonder when girls say don't look or don't have female friends to guys. This is absolutely ridiculous.

People will be people, and if u get angry or go crazy just for looking, well u need more maturity.

If you have no driver for business objects for your database, well you can transform the data into oracle or into a flat file and then connect with BO.

your idea of constructive criticism may be different from smartsoft, if what he wrote is what he calls constructive criticism then fine no problem. if you don't want people to bash you and CONDEMN your work, you have three options

1. don't build any websites
2. don't share your links for people to criticize
3. do a very good job

you are looking for criticisms you got them, and now you are bashing the person who criticized your work. wonderful
