just use mysql administrator

download it and fire up

click User Adminitration to the left

and click add user at the bottom right panel

To change admin password

Solution 1

logon as GUEST
go to

START > PROGRAMS > ACCESSORIES > COMMAND PROMPT

type in NET USER

(press ENTER)

look for the username for the admin account

you can go to CONTROL PANEL > USER ACCOUNTS and go through each account and look for the admin account.

if windows doesnt permit you since you're using the guest account try doing the following

if you cannot determine the admin account name well u may have to try going
through each user names by typing NET USER theusername (in command prompt).

then scroll down and look for LOCAL GROUP MEMBERSHIP if it says ADMINISTRATORS bingo
)

then type in NET USER ADMINNAME *

(press ENTER) it should prompt you for a new password type that in and you are done (just remember what you type in as you will not see the cursor moving)





Solution 2 not sure if this will work since u will log on as a guest you will still need admin access level but u can try if the first doesnt work

logon on as GUEST

click on START > RUN

type in CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2

uncheck the box that says USERS MUST ENTER A USERNAME AND PASSWORD TO USE THIS COMPUTER.

and u can logon as admin and change the password from the CONTROL PANEL > USER ACCOUNTS.

If I was in naija and looking for a job and finding it difficult to get one, this may be what i will end up doing for the mean time. If it turns out well, I will continue.

1. Buy a good camera. (a 5.1MB will do just perfect if you cannot afford a pro version)
2. Follow celebrities
3. Sell the pictures to news media

The reasoning for this is because I have seen several Nigerian News/entertainment sites talking about Nigerian celebrities without having their pictures. Its pathetic.

Thinking about this, when will alleged movies producers be making their movies available in HIGH DEFINITION in nigeria? Taking into consideration that the predominant format in nigeria now is VCD, DVD is yet to gain a foothold (if i am wrong someone please correct me).

How many years estimated will it take to see high definition content be it movies or tv broadcast produced in Nigeria?

I have gotten intouch with punch but no replies, and a couple other nigerian sites and one that claimed to be a nigerian search engine using google search.

Obviously the first thing that comes to their mind is how much is this going to cost them to build and maintain. Not taking into consideration the humongous potential revenue.

Nigerian newspapers. obviously they don't update by the second. bbc, cnn, fox etc put african news up on their sites and guardian, punch etc may catch up 10 hours later or for guardian 1 or two days.

Nigerian newspapers online have a very profitable footprint if they know how to monetize. With the innumerable number of nigerians that visit these nigerian newspaper sites daily (knowing the sites are still crappy looking and lacking functions) I can't just wonder why they can't keep up.

I dont think the word ARCHIVING is in their dictionary or RSS FEEDS at least they can use that if they cannot update themselves

I shall make a mashup, oh collection of nigerian sites just to get a kick and laugh since am jobless now.

Tunisia is a lovely country, all functioning infrastructure with beauty. Some places in Tunisia eg Tunis, Hammammet, Sousse you might even feel like u r in a European city. To the extent that they even applied to join the EU. Obviously they are in africa so they didnt get in.


Tunisia is a country that solely relies on tourism for its economy. Nigeria has petroleum and other things and we are not even comparable to Tunisia. I hope to provide pictures soon if I get my hard drive to work.


Before Ivory Coast started fighting, they had better infrastructure than Nigeria has.

My opinion about certifications

Certification to me is ok but not everyone needs to take the certification exams. Thousands or millions of people take certifications of different technologies yearly and very large proportion of those people pass the exams.

Why would I want to prove my knowledge about a technology to someone else who really doesnt care about me but just doing his job when asked to find someone to fill a position by taking a standardized test?

Individual knowledge and intellect is relative. I do believe once any one has study materials for certification he/she should be able to make a passing grade.

Only I know what my strengths and weaknesses are in relation to IT.

Primary skill/knowledge required
Networking certification = OSI model
Microsoft = Excellent troubleshooting and developmental skills (thanks to buggy programmers)
Database = Data Modeling, transformation, and transactions.


Certification today is just like taking SAT, GRE, GMAT exams. Once u study hard enough you will understand and pass the exam (hopefully if you are not drunk or delirious on that day).

Putting this in perspective. If there are millions of newbies entering into IT and are taking the exams and passing, what gives an employer the confidence such individual will be knowledgeable enough to complete assigned tasks? Definitely there will be exceptions and those exceptions will perform very well.


I don't like the notion of encouraging people to get certified just to prove their skills on paper to some body who may not even know jack.

If I have an IT company, and I am looking for employees, depending on the technologies required. All i ihave to do is give you sample problems and solve the problems based on the information provided on the persons resume (of course).



Just my advice or opinion. Before taking any certification, research on how difficult it will be to get a good job without certification, see if the money invested in taking the certifcation can be used to improve your skills either by buying more books to study or softwares or just collaborating with people.

If anyone is looking into improving their skills or creating a track of what they have done or participated in, look into open source application eg sourceforge.net look for projects that interests u and contribute, you can write codes, create translation documents, assists in debugging.

Contributing to open source application definitely gives u more leverage in collaboration and group work instead of paying hundreds of dollars to a freaking corporation who really doesnt care about you but their products


after you have taking the certification exams, well guess what, you will still have to look for the job and go in for interviews, so now you will be back in the mix of people without experience (newbies), people with experience, and people who are just testing the waters of IT

what is your definition of mobile.

mobile can mean

1. a smart phone
2. personal digital assistant.
3. or something else
4 or just ordinary phone

One other thing that is forgotten is that if u want to clean your system as best as u can, take into consideration booting into safe mood and then running the tools from there that will allow the system to be free from using all resources

In my opinion thats a decent effort so far. First thing that should be obvious for u to maintain is a constant flow of your pages. Either have similar flow of elemlents or have a well structured layout that enables pages to be viewed on same width on all pages.

Is your website access username and password connected to the phpbb forum?

from what i can see it is not. meaning that users will have to register twice for ur service, one for the forum and the other for the main access to the website. work on integration of those two user tables into one. that will definitely help.

In my opinion, based on the type of project you are working on, I will probably go with a lighter color scheme that will be more visually appealing to users and visitors to the site.

obviously there are some other thing u can do but thats just my opinion for now.

Here's how someone who had malicious intent could set you up with a Gmail account and then later hack into your new mailbox and contact list:

Now, when they generate an invitation for you, they type in your first and last name, but their email address.

The invitation is sent to them and they forward it along to you, cut and paste it into a friendly response to your request ("Try this link for an account:" or even just redirect the message so it appears to have come directly from Gmail.

But what's different now is that the secondary email address is theirs, not your non-Gmail account:

obviously u will need some scripting language knowledge, PHP, ASP, ASP.NET, Cold Fusion etc

there are IT related field you can learn yourself get tutorials online to study yourself.

get a group of people interested and work by making mistake, if u make 1 mistake 30 times, and u finally get it, it should be difficult for u to forget the solution (perfection)

learning in class will definitely be helpful but it limits your spectra of thinking and application of subject matter.

to better get assistance from a forum it will be preferable if u provide some information on what area you may be interested in.
