Fashola as a governor, when he increased LASU school fees from 25k to 250k, said education was not for the poor.
Obi said education was not for the poor, according to you, yet in his tenure his state was the first in WAEC. How did it happen?
How many times at the tenure of your candidate, did his state win the award? Do you think education is about building white elephant projects in the name of schools, when the children did not get the required education?

More beautiful communities in the country have either being washed away by floods every year or continue to face the threat.

What we want to know is what government intends to do before the next season to control flooding. Badagry is on the path of the Atlantic ocean and as such at risk.

Lagos has plenty of canals and poorly constructed drainages. What is government doing to fix drainages? Even how can canals be put to use, to aid public transportation? Canals need to be cleared regularly, dredged and have their walls constructed to control flooding, etc. At every turn politicians use such serious issues to play political games.

The chairman was boasting on how he reconstructed a school. How Sanwo Olu constructed the road. With his revenue, has this chairman even rented caterpillars to simply grade and open up some roads? Has he built drainages in his local government area? All they know to do is share money, appoint SAs and SSAs on different revenue generation drives, to load money in their pockets.

My first comment was borne out of the fact of what I have noticed in the recent times.

In the 70s, 80s and 90s, even though we had different tribes and cultures, Nigerians remained one. It was on the basis of that fact, that the late Chief MKO Abiola won the election convincingly. He received votes from every part of the nation, as where he came from did not matter.

Without doubt, our country has become so deeply polarized by the words and actions of the political class.

It does not take 70 years to form national identities. It did not take the Americans 70 years. They already knew what they wanted, fought the war of independence against the British; had a constitution; fought a civil war and became who we all know today.

Can one say he is not a Nigerian when he is from Nigeria? We can only ask ourselves if we are United as one country.

Now, I agree with you that we are going nowhere if certain burning issues affecting our nation, are not sorted out. We must ask if we are ready to proceed as one nation.

One thing can be assured, that they will play politics with it.

Anyway, what difference will it make, seeing that this government exits in 7 months? Or maybe it will be their parting gifts to people if those communities.
