seunmsg:“ Nigeria’s best finance minister since 1999”. Surely you must be joking. Are you not being a hypocrite here? |
litigator:Be ni o bros. No vex o, na you talk of heart attack. If you follow people wey follow against GEJ, na heart attack |
litigator:Yes ooo, that’s exactly what’s waiting for you all. |
vedaxcool:Fact checking will reveal your status as unemployed, actually among the figures quoted by Obi. Be honest to yourself bro. |
oluwaseunamos33:At least better than the bewitching broom!
|
It is very necessary for Jonathan to go to APC. My reason is simply founded in the acts of humiliation meted against him and his wife by APC and its principal promoters before and after the election of 2015. I need to see the faces of the likes of Festus Keyamo, El Rufai, Saraki, BAT, Ngige, Rotimi Amaechi, etc. Would they remain in APC or decamp again to PDP. Jagbajantis intete. |
Malory:Did you read at all? Please read the entire story gently and carefully to enable you see the facts as presented about each individual. |
“ went to buy Agbo for my skin when I bumped into his stall full of several dead and dried animals”. She went to buy agbo abi she went to see baba for her own? How I go take believe that kind woman? |
Mooh247:Unfortunately Nairaland is filled with young school leavers with no experience about such matters. Always you with nothing meaningful to say. Very empty fellow with absolutely no ability to contribute to decent discussions. Time will always tell. |
Very sorry to hear |
Wazobia2216:Very idiotic comment from the braggart. That irresponsible comment would have attracted an arrest for “ordinary people”. Anyway his father has only a few months to go. |
Ah, so that is the new story by this man. Why don’t we just say that boko haram was the branch of APC used to disrupt the PDP government of Goodluck Jonathan and brought APC to power is 2015? Remember “an attack against boko haram is an attack against the north”? |
Mooh247:Muntula. And you have been wailing since, expecting APC to micro zone to your zone for your baba to be president. E no go kuku happen. APC go chop him 100 million clean mouth. Fvking coward. Ntoi. |
Jagbajantis intete. They jettisoned it just to keep themselves in power, use the opportunity to loot our commonwealth completely. That’s why it is very important to go our separate ways as quickly as possible. |
Nonsense. It is a family “affears” (please pronounce it that way). Peterside Dakuku mind your business. |
Tell us how loyal you were to Dr. Peter Odili. |
MetaPhysical:OP you make it all sound so as if Nigeria is a business partnership run between two partners, Tinubu and Buhari. Politics and power are not so simplistic as you think. You projected ACN as the partner with the most important resources in the so called partnership that formed APC. Can you recall how many states ACN had going into that agreement with other parties, in this case CPC, nPNP, APGA, etc? Did you deliberately relegate the nPDP governors, who took their states and resources away from PDP in the SS, SE and the north to give APC the balance needed to defeat PDPat the center? Your comment gave relevance to the several claims that Tinubu pocketed already the resources of Lagos and made use of it to sponsor the APC campaign nationally to secure victory in 2015. Did you deliberately overlook the fact that CPC controlled 13 states prior to the election and ACN controlled just 4 SW states going into the election. PDP lost seven states whose governors took the party structure along with them to found APC. How is it then that Tinubu contributed more than every other person? The fact cannot be removed from him about his idea to form APC, looking at the potential or havest of votes from the north with Buhari’s northern appeal. If the idea was not put up, PMB would not be the president today. But the fact remains that if other powerful political individuals did not consent, APC would not have defeated PDP. Now what makes you think that it is the right of Tinubu to become the next president? There are many forces at work to make presidents. The first is God himself. Shagari was an unknown politician when he won the election in 1979, defeating political heavyweights like Nnamdi Azikiwe, Obafemi Awolowo and Aminu Bello. GEJ never in his life dreamt of being the state governor, but you saw the occurrences that made him the president. There are therefore, other political interests in APC and PDP who covet that position. None of them has claimed it as their right, even within the APC. Tinubu said the presidency was his “lifetime ambition”. Now you can see the greed and his reason for getting Buhari to give him the ladder in terms of northern votes to climb to Aso rock. Politics is about interests and not friendship. Tinubu himself acknowledges it and that’s the reason he has been traversing the northern states, seeing their governors and making emergency donations to known and unknown projects. All those are tailored to get him northern votes. But the northerners as acknowledged by you, do not want to relinquish power. That’s the tragedy of Tinubu’s myopic manouvre in 2014 to set up APC. The northern politicians intend to hand over to a southerner who can serve just one term and return power to the north in 2027. Politics is about projections and calculations and you need to study situations deeply and make the right political arithmetics. Tinubu did not do his calculations right. He thought putting certain persons into positions of power would entitle him the presidency in 2023. Those same persons are greedy like him politically and without doubt politics and power do not recognize emotions. Betrayal is a common factor. Without betrayals Tinubu would not have attained his political height today. He betrayed several other people at other times. He keeps betraying and as a politicians he will never fail to betray. He knows that he is sorrounded by betrayers. Buhari won the north on the basis of his northern appeal and the role of his northern friends cut across political parties. Tinubu helped in the SW. Others like Amaechi and Oshiomole, etc played their roles in the SS. Ngige and Okorocha, among other played their roles in the SE. Saraki, etc played their roles in the NC. Do you want to say that they did not contribute financially? How then does coming to the center with 4 states give Tinubu that entitlement spirit to the presidency? He knows himself that he must fight for it. You his supporters, make it look as if the rest of the nation is against him. He always knew as a politician that there would be opposition even from the president himself. That makes him the politician that he is. That’s why he has surrendered himself to face others on Election Day. All you his supporters need to do is work had and appeal to supporters of other interested powers, showing the cogent reasons why they should support your principal. Buhari has not betrayed Tinubu. He knows that he must be careful if he wants to leave Aso rock in one piece, with a few months to go. They are all politicians, let them play their games. |
jude79:I dey laugh am since. I just hope he reads very well and take his time to understand. Asking questions too would help him a lot. Cheers. |
marcusaurelio:So the FG’s investment in Dangote refinery is for a short term, abi? What is the difference between Anambra state government’s investment in a private company and the Federal government’s investment in Dangote refinery, which also is a private organization? You read that Obi’s investment in a private organization yielded over 500 percent in profit and yet you called it criminal. Would the funds not help with the development of the state? Did you read at any point that those funds were misappropriated, especially coming from the present governor, who was formerly, the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria. Academics guarantee success. That palasa in your hands was invented by academics. Nairaland came to life by the ideas of academics. Come o, can you see that truly you are in JSS3? You completely contradicted yourself bro. |
Jagbajantis intete. As it stands, if Atul Edochie contests an election for any position in his father’s house, family, clan or village, he would be roundly and unprecedentedly be defeated. See as e make head like agama lizard own. No be only nomination form, na qualification form. |
Pakute:Shame no catch una when dem take lie upon lie in 2015 put suffering and hardship for una face. Na one ex President joining the same APC, with the request of the same APC members go bring shame? |
sapele914:But that is Nigerian politics for you. Atiku has been part of PDP, APC and ACN. What about Rochas Okorocha with PDP, APC, APG, ANPP, AA? |
marcusaurelio:And you did not know that the federal government through NNPC invested in Dangote refinery. By the way have you completed your SSS3 class? I assume that the little that you know is from your class teacher. |
jesmond3945:No mind the young, inexperienced man. |
MartinCorridon:I love how people like you live in perpetual slavery and complete bewitchment by the persons you have projected since 2015. It is great to see how they make you suffer with the little crumbs released to you. Hardship and poverty counting all your likes. “One, two, tiri, fohhh…” |
Uncletony:Without doubt! |
Pakute:What have others who decamped from PDP to APC said? What did the current APC chairman say when he decamped? What did @atiku say when he decamped? When he returned to PDP what did he say? |
Mickykarim:Unfortunately he will not “keep off and get lost”. But you have said absolutely nothing to show us why on the basis of the same constitution why we must be agree with Chief Ozekhome on this. You just went off with that angry burst. Cut sentiments off and face the facts as they are. If you feel that GEJ did not do well in his own time, what is the evidence that the present leadership is meeting up with the basic requirements of the people, including yours? GEJ on the basis of facts presented has the right to contest and he surely will contest on the platform of APC, as APC presently offers him that platform. Without doubt he is the much touted secret candidate of PMB and the north. You need to understand how politicians think. Be reminded that politicians think of interests in their quest for power and not emotions or sentiments. You may need to know why the north where we have been told that most votes come from, choose not to relinquish power or want to permit the south just 4 years with GEJ as the balancing factor. |
Let’s see how it goes. “ that: “A constitution, like other statutes, operates prospectively and not retrospectively unless it is expressly provided to be otherwise. Such legislations affect only rights which came into existence after it has been passed.” A cursory examination of the various provisions of the Constitution and all the appellate court decisions cited above make it crystal clear that the speculated disqualification of Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is grossly misconceived by the antagonists, as the Constitution must be progressively and not retrogressively construed; prospectively and not retrospectively interpreted. More significantly, the Alteration Act itself does not make any express provision that the said inserted sub-section 137(3) would operate retrospectively”. That says it all. Now let wait for the politicians in APC and PDP to get their lawyers to go to court and challenge it. But one wonders if GEJ’s name evokes some fear in the hearts of other presidential contestants. What are they afraid of? GEJ has not said anything yet, even though we hear from his foot soldiers in cryptic messages. |
What you cannot do in your native country. Can you even try it in North Korea? After all Korea na Korea. |
Why waste that N100M? That amount has become a status symbol for our looting minded politicians. |
Na wah. I think that would amount to waste of resources and duplicating the ministries. We have a ministry of humanitarian whatever. We have the social intervention program, etc. All of them have their budgets and programs. Stomach infrastructure should be captured there. However what Nigeria needs mostly is security. Nigerians have to be able to access their farms easily. Government has to invest more in agriculture. Government has to provide access to farms, so that farm produce easily reach the consumers. |
