Jostoman:The end in sight! For those who have inner eyes, it is very easy to see the end of APC as a political party. Those who assembled themselves, amalgamated, agreed, congregated and planned the formation of the party as a mega party, did not see that it was an opportunity to present and make PMB the president, which he had severally contested for. When his tenure concludes, everyone will return to their respective regional parties. The handwriting is on the wall already. The party faces plenty of cases in the court on the viability of their convention and the legality of the Mai-Buni led interim Chairmanship. Without doubt Ekiti and Osun states would be lost to PDP either directly through the ballot boxes or the court. PMB presently is the glue that holds the party together. Listening to his last interview, without doubt, the man proved himself a complete “baba go slow”. He will return to his farm in 2023. Our dear BAT is waiting to be reciprocated his “goodwill” of 2015. He may wait in vain. Imo state from the looks will revert to PDP under Ihedioha and there will be peace. |
LadyExcellency:Chai. Such ignorance on your part! |
Killermamba:Now that is what obtains in their societies. Whether you go to Court or Church or Mosque, the fact is that you are married legitimately. When they marry in the registry, it is very legitimate and accepted. The difference with ours is the dowry/bride price that MUST first be paid. What we should all learn in this subject matter is the fact that living with a man/woman in the house without marrying legitimately does not make you married. It is called co-habitation. It is sinful in Christianity. It is sinful in Islam. It is sinful culturally, it is sinful morally. When you have sex, it is called fornication and as you know fornication is sinful. |
Amotolongbo:Wrong Bride price paying is not just cultural. It is Christian and it is Islamic. Which of the two religious faiths do you profess? “Bride price isn’t paid but dowry”. My friend please note that pride price and dowry are the same depending on what side you are looking at it from. Some say “dowry” is a property given by a woman to her husband while getting married and “bride price” is the token or money given by a man or woman in the process of marriage. The fact remains that it is a practice accepted by most societies and it is accepted like I said earlier in Christianity and Islam. You can check for yourself how in the Bible days “dowry” was paid by King David and also Abraham’s servant for Isaac. You may also ask our Islamic brothers and sisters how dowries are paid and collected according to Islamic injunction, because they do it. That some families return the bride price paid does not eliminate the fact that the bride price was paid in the first place and accepted by the consenting families of the ladies. Some fathers simply claim that they “are not selling their child”. They take a token and return the rest thereafter. Payment of the bride price is very symbolic in that it is the indicator of parental consent and acceptability by the families concerned. In some cultures, when the marriage ends in divorce it is pertinent that the family of the lady returns the dowry otherwise the lady is termed to still be married to the man. Lastly different interpretations have come up in respect of the said matter. Our beliefs hold it without doubt that if you have not paid the dowry then you are not legally married. If therefore, you have not paid the dowry how then can two join together to become one? If the Alfa or Priest has not done the religious process, what then do you expect? Cheers. |
Na police go decide no be you. One two go, the pickin dem go talk true. |
This matter reverberates around the world presently. The whole world is watching and listening. Nigerians in diaspora are following up. Thankfully the thugs in children dresses have been arrested by the police. Now that it is with Panti street, we know it a homicide case. |
tsdarkside:Olodo. And how valuable did it become to the receivers? Bow your name ugly face in shame. “are Igbos all insane”? No. Your dislike for the Igbos has kept you in the bondage of insanity since you were born and wrongly tutored. |
adekolaelect:The problem with people like you is “siege mentality”. All you scan do is think and talk negative about Igbos. I am of the belief that people like you think that “danfo” driving conducting with enough hemp and paraga is more profitable. So you look at other means of decent living for the very myopic eyes of danfo boys. Because you heard “wheel barrows” in the east, you lost control and narrowed you comment to childish tribalistic play. Well maybe you are to young to understand that your people are the leaders of the wheelbarrowing business and progenitors of wheel barrows through your old renowned “omolankes”. Na sorry be your name. |
Godons1:“With this your mentality, how will Eastern politicians give their people the benefits of democracy like we see in other Regions? How will your leaders build infrastructural development in the East as seen in other Regions”. I wonder what mentality you are referring to in your comment. Don’t make yourself sound like a typical white man who has never been to Africa, yet he thinks Africans live in trees. Tell me, with empowerment programs, which part of the country have you seen better things given to the citizens to lift them up? We have seen a wooden bridge in Lagos constructed and commissioned, proudly, by hon. Desmond Elliot. We have seen in Lagos as in other states, where local government chairmen give out hair dryers, barbing equipment, etc. what about the north, where citizens have been handed over goats as “benefits of democracy”? If you have justified those, why then would you think giving out wheelbarrows is improper? “How will your leaders build infrastructural development in the east”? May I ask if you have ever been to the Southeast? I hope you are not like southwesterners who have not ventured out of their communities and talk about other areas on the basis of hear say? Aside from Lagos, Oyo and Ogun states, what can you say about Ekiti, Osun and Ondo states? Why have you not held the political leaders responsible for their deliberate under development of these states? If a local government chairman chooses to give out wheelbarrows and wants his people to be accountable by paying some amounts into the accounts of the local government, what is bad about it? I ask this same question again. Maybe you do not know that some wheelbarrow people rake in close to ten thousand naira a day or more, depending on the area. This is easily verifiable and you can check. “The east will never have good leaders”? Who says? How do you define good leaders? The leaders that you voted for, how many of them are of benefit to you? Do you know your councilor, local government chairman, not to talk of members of the state and National Assemblies? How many have given you the “benefits of democracy”? Stop being blinded by unnecessary dislike for Igbo people. That our country suffers a serious leadership problem is no longer a secret. You have countless politicians from the Southwest who have cases of looting with the EFCC. What infrastructures did they put in place for their people? |
GeneralDae:And why are you mentioning Igbo boys alone please? |
Very unfortunate. Ambode stopped Lasma from arresting people. He sent the VIOs back to their offices. When they were stopped, Lagosians found peace. Now with the present Lagos government, they all returned to the streets, with their insane ways. The rest is what Lagosians have been experiencing in the hands of personnel of those two organizations. |

Odoogu:Don’t mind the nonsense talk from the woman. Who feels it knows it, as they say. Her remarks showed her as a member of the school board as she struggled to defend its bad management policies. She seemed to conceal the real situation in the boarding system of this school. If it happened to her own child, would she not by now be singing like a canary bird? With the evidences of the children from the school, parents, ex stakeholders and the ex boarding coordinator, is it not crystal clear that the school failed completely? “People react differently to information. We are parents in the school. Academic wise, the school is very sound, I must say; I have three children there,” she said. Where do you ever find bullies who make it academically? If they were that good, how come so many parents are lamenting? Maybe the school is one of those “special centers” where parents use money to help their children cheat themselves in the name of passing their examinations. Jagbajantis intete! |
WibusJaga:I tire for that kind story. Make all of us kuku go for selection na! |
adeakin:As this country be so, people dey japa even to Cambodia, Sudan, Eritrea, Afghanistan, North Korea, Myanmar, no man’s land sef before thinking. No be the frustration dey make young boys say it is better to face Agadez than to stay for one country wey today one price increase, tomorrow another price increase without allowing the person to plan. |
princdebola201:Messi’s performance never declined those years you quoted. See, there is a very big difference in the attitude of Messi and Ronaldo on the pitch. Messi is less selfish than Ronaldo on the pitch. That’s why he is called the assist king. He assists other players score, while he scores. He is more contended with the club winning games collectively than achieving personal gain like Ronaldo on the pitch. If he gets more selfless then he can score more. So all those years you thought he was declining, he was actually making his team and himself better. Therefore when MSN came, inspite of the fact that he was the main person upfront, he selflessly allowed his friends to thrive. Ronaldo was scoring more and that made him seem to catch up. |
They must face civil suits, added to criminal charges. They are guilty of inhumane treatment of children, criminal negligence of children under their care, etc. Now it is without doubt that the school just like a lot of our other schools in this country are totally irresponsible. Government too is completely negligent of its role of monitoring and supervision of the schools. Hopefully this case will serve as a eye opener to schools and make them all sit up. Hopefully it will impact the quality of education in this country positively in the end. For now we all have the business of making Dowen school make restitution for their past recklessness, criminal negligence, arrogance, pride, foolishness and receiving school fees in millions without positively impacting the lives of their students. |
backbencher:That shows you how poorly educated some are in this forum. |
What is shameful about it? Why live as fraudsters, thieves, looters and criminals of all sorts? Wheelbarrowing is a method of transportation just like buses, trains, cars, etc. It is very resourceful and those who use it as their means of livelihood take in plenty of money daily. There are people out there who have invested a lot of money into wheelbarrowing. They rent them out to those hardworking men and women you see in the markets, who transport goods for those in need. It is an honorable means of livelihood, far more decent and honorable than scamming people as a means of livelihood. Now what is wrong with a local government renting it out as a means of revenue generation? Local governments rent out their caterpillars for road repair or rehabilitation. They generate revenue that way. If it pays the local government, why not? When PMB said “you are lazy”, he actually was referring to certain youths like those who think that wheelbarrowing belongs only to the poor. Those youths who feel that crime is the only ladder they have to get to the top. We must commend the local government for that idea please. |
mayklef:Make you sef try fine first. No go be like frog come dey find person when be like dove. |
CHOPUP411:If e too worry you, comot your eye, make you no go do bad thing. |
princdebola201:“Messi has never thrived in a team with natural goal poachers. Thats why he was average in Argentina when the likes of higuain,carlos...” Then why did he thrive in Barcelona with natural goal poachers like Neymar and Suarez as his strike partners? “Same thing happening to him in PSG”. I do not think so. I think the coach has a problem of managing his from three of Neymar, Mbappe and Messi. PSG would need to get a manager who can make that front three thrive. |
MrOON:My brother no be by chiseled abs and six packs. If na so nobody go for beat Anthony Joshua for boxing. Na complete gift of God make Messi who e be. |
htdot:Ronaldo fans are advised to go to the Supreme Court ASAP! |
MrOON:Even looking at the statistics na Benzema go win am if to say Messi no win am. All those Ronaldo fans plan to use Supreme Court hand am over to Lewankowski. Na fa fa fa fa fa fawooolll. |
olatuns2017:Just say this to yourself: I am a BIG FOOL. |
But Kenya is one of the most corrupt nations on earth. Maybe far worse than other African countries. It is typical of leaders of black nations in Africa to steal, loot and completely embezzle. Go to Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, South Africa and you”ll wonder if they are not African nations. |
ArewaNorth:How can they ever know when this forum is filled with youths who are deeply not knowledgeable in many issues. All they know is talk without reasoning and insults. You can hardly find people who want to discuss issues reasonably and exchange knowledge happily. |
No more school for them. Vagabonds and hooligans. Short and simple. |
Careless school board and useless dormitory supervisors. Only interested in the school fees and charges. Claiming a big name with nothing good to show for it. I still wonder why one should cough out millions of naira to get his child properly educated and set him on a sure pedestal, while the school that charge so much cannot match promises of security, safety, comfort and good training, with action. |
NewsAgent101:Na dem teach people how to carry nylon bag for pocket go party. Na dem show people how to hide meat under table inside party for final pamming into their bag. Na dem teach people how to do emergency Chapman with coke, pepsi, malt, wine, water inside one bottle as dem dey carry plastic anywhere dem go to carry drink when dem serve inside glass bottle. |
Ndimkpurummiri:“Gunde Ijiko Ozeno” sounds like an Igbo name to you? And you call yourself a Nigerian? Shay shay shay shay shay shammeeee!!! Ntoi. |
