It’s very sad. Everyone seems to have entered a one chance bus. Those who do not agree with this are direct beneficiaries of the terrible situation. Nigerians now suffer on all fronts. |
“ I got to Nigeria from Ghana for a meeting with TOTAL and checked into Radisson Blu hotel. I decided to take a shower before the meeting and it was around noon. It was almost fatal. The glass bathroom door broke and almost amputated my leg. I still have a slight limp and cant bend that leg fully while taking a shower. There was luckily limited vascular damage“. You did not tell us if door was broken before you got there. The hotel could have assumed that the door was damaged by you. That could have informed their attitude to you. |
AllahIsShit:Thank you for this short response. Seeing that OP chose the part of ignorance I will not add to your comment. |
Tetrahedron:But Lagos was included! |
bkool7:Yes, she did very well to show it off. In no way did she disrespect the man. She showed appreciation in a great way to the man who not only stood by her father, but by her and her family after her father passed on. She showed the importance of relationships. She showed gratefulness. She reciprocated the man’s kindness publicly. What she has done should serve as an eye opener to certain persons who reward good for evil. There are many out there who abandoned their parents friends to die in their sicknesses. There are many out there whose fathers were helped by their friends, but in their own friend’s times of need were abandoned by the same people and their children. It is a great lesson to be learnt by our youths, knowing how to repay yesterday’s good for good today. By the way, isn’t she very beautiful. She has a beautiful heart too. No wonder she is loved by her people in Kogi state. |
Fahdiga:And to us all who want good governance, accountability, integrity, justice, FairPlay, stronger institutions and a better Nigeria. To all of us who wished Soludo success. To all of us who want peace restored absolutely in Anambra state. Thank you all. |
Observer007:You made the best comment bro. For the sake of emphasis we need decent people in positions of power. We need strong individuals. Nepotism, tribalism are both agents of corruption. If a political leader say he fights corruption yet he is nepotistic or tribalistic, that leader definitely is corrupt. |
MrJah:Every reasonable person knows that Anambra state is the home state of APGA. The present sentiments in the SE make it further difficult for APC in the SE as a whole. No magic can be done there. |
Results from Nnewi and Idemili please, if any. |
SonofDevil:When you make your analysis or permutations, the least you can do is take off insults and let your comments be very objective. Presently as it stands APC holds more states across the country. That’s the reality that we find. Each passing day we hear and see people decamping. When they decamp some make the party stronger while some either make the party weaker or are of no consequence. Before 2015, who foresaw PDP losing prominent members? It happened, PDP became weaker as the lost governors and APC won. The last election was a tight race, but APC won. Do not forget that Nigerian politics is “winners take all”. That’s why post election you have members of the opposition decamping to make the ruling party look stronger. The truth is remains that the strength that the ruling party may quickly fade away due to the same permutations and ambitions of the same politicians. Therefore APC may seem in control today, but just before the election many politicians who are not offered tickets would switch parties and cost APC the position. It is very funny how a lot of those on this platform seem to be too childish, myopic, tribalistic and unrealistic when it has to do with the Igbos. A large population of Igbos in the SW vote APC and their votes are counted as SW votes, not SE votes. Some say Igbo votes are not needed to win elections but they quickly forget how Igbo politicians have won seats in Lagos, the most prominent SW state. Politicians realise the importance of Igbo votes nationally and that informs their reason for campaigning in Igbo dominated areas in all the states. APC achieved a lot of votes in the Southeast to secure power. Every single vote in elections matter, that’s why politicians go to court to get victory. Rivers state is one of the states political parties rely on for heavy votes and that is in the SS. The SE and SS are very crucial in all permutations. |
Happy birthday girl. The Lord bless and keep you. May you grow in leaps and power. Congratulations to you and your family. |
We were recently told that the Nigerian army is a “paper tiger”. One begins to wonder why these equipments need to be displayed especially with the inability of the military to either “technically, emotionally or physically” defeat “bandits” and “terrorists”. With the news that boko haram and bandits possess large swaths of land in the north, do we need to argue over those two words “paper tiger”? Can any one section or group of people attempt to overrun certain communities, cities or states in the USA, China, Europe, UK, or Russia? Looking at this lingering issue of terrorism and banditry dispassionately, one cannot but question why it has taken so long, especially with the promises given in 2015, to wipe out the so called bandits and terrorists in the north of this country. Many years ago we were told of how the infantry of the Nigerian army was among the best in the world. Without doubt we can see over the years the problem of the military getting involved in the political leadership in this country. Looking at it critically one cannot but agree that the strength and character of the Nigerian military has been depleted by themselves and politicians with their involvement in ruling this country. Some of our greedy politicians and senior military personnel have chosen to corner large sums of monies which should have been used to advance the course of our military. Can we not safely say that our military as it presently stands, should be rated among the weakest in the world? If boko haram cannot be defeated and the so called bandits cannot be rooted out of the forests by the military and paramilitary, what then forms the basis for our boasting? Why should we be celebrating these equipments when very soon we will hear that boko haram has taken over them? The ones not taken over by boko haram and bandits will not be serviced for optimum performance. The operators too will be charged for deserting, when they complain that their allowances are not paid. Do our leaders truly want this country to remain as one? Why won’t they stop their acts of wickedness and allow this country move forward? When we heard the words “next level”, we thought they meant “moving forward”. Can we say that we are moving forward? We have been told to pray time and again. The developed countries, did they not possess integrity along with prayer to make their countries what they are today? We sincerely hope that things should get better as 2023 looks troubled already. |

Stupid leaders. What is his business with that? How does that make his country better? That’s how one leader locked the most important borders in his country to stop smugglers. People cried. Businesses were ruined. He opened the borders in the north for only one rich man to ship his goods across. In the end life became worse for his people. Food became costlier and out of reach for the poor. Jagbajantis intete leaders. |
Jagbajantis intete! No be only free. Make e kuku give una food and drink untop. |
Gratefulheart1:You hit the nail on the head. Thanks. |
LegendHero:Read this: Until there is a law prohibiting a Nigerian from investing outside the shores of Nigeria, Peter Obi cannot be said to have committed the offence of tax evasion or any other tax offence(s), however so called. On the issue of non-declaration of jointly or partly owned foreign asset: the law which addresses this subject is majorly the constitution and the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act.Section 11 (1) (b) Part I Fifth Schedule to the Constitution Adebayo referred to requires a public officer to declare his properties, assets, and liabilities. The said provision did not specifically require the declaration of jointly or partly owned assets. It is appreciated that a public officer is required to declare his assets in view of the public trust reposed in the office they occupy. It would be irrational to expose assets that are partly owned by other individuals, when they are not the ones occupying the public office in question. Some business investors actually prefer to invest quietly, hence, a declaration of their jointly owned assets breach that business trust which they expect from their business partners. The otherwise could amount to a breach of the right to privacy and quiet enjoyment of the property of these persons. Cheers. |
LegendHero:Please do not display this kind of ignorance. “He even admit non-declaration of some jointly owned assets”. Even if you do not understand what it is you can just be reasonable to understand the words “jointly owned assets”. If it be so it is common sense that since those assets are not owned by him alone, there must be some privacy in the matter which involves other people. If you own assets with Mr. A and Mr. A has issues, would it make sense if he declares all that you own? Now aside from that have you had that Peter Obi had any issue with the code of conduct bureau? Have you had of any issue with him and the police of the EFCC regarding finances either as a private citizen or public citizen? Do not join others, without adequate evidence, to disparage people. |
anorexicmuster:Not only a bigot but also a total idiot. |
Now he has personally shown why he was declared “persona non grata” in the South east and his house burnt down. |
Dan Orbih? Suspension? Let’s see how it goes. |
Na lie. Third term ko, third force ni. |
E fall down? I mean facedown. Or na beating be that? He looks like a herdsman . |
EKONGKING:Fantastic comment. Thank you very much. |
Don’t mind the shameless person who would not remove the log in his eyes before removing that in another person’s own. Aside from oil, what can his community boast of. With all his wealth from contracts obtained from the FG what has he done for his people? Jagbajantis intete! |
NGpatriot:Ignorance is not an excuse. One wonders why the likes of you comment without adequate information. You may just need to tell us where you come from so that we can tell you certain secrets that you need to know about your people. “The whole region is unproductive...”. What a shame and complete embarrassment to you that you display your crass ignorance at this age. “If business owners like Dangote are in the SE, they are definitely up in flames by now”. And to you all the business organizations in the SE are up in flames or are already destroyed. Unfortunately racists and sadists like you are allowed to prowl around and make irresponsible comments without sanctions from the moderators of this forum. It is a great pity and shame. |
