Native doctor don fail. After the juju man’s network failed, they landed ion the other side of life. Rather than work decently following genuine and time tested processes, our youths tragically want to get rich quick always. They want to go to America and European countries with the intention to get money fast and come home to shine. Those people have long term plans on how to become millionaires. They work, save and plan for their retirement in wealth. Our youths want to do rituals for money wickedly and greedily sacrificing their family members and then get money by other quick and illegal means. The tragedy is what I believe we have seen with those two from Edo state. Farming whether crops or livestock can make one rich over time. The focus of our youths must be changed towards living better, more reasonable lives with genuine desires to follow proper and known processes to get wealth. |
That’s the only reason the northern leaders are clamoring to retain power in the north. That the voice of Jacob but the hand of Esau. They speak on behalf of their leaders who are in power and have thousands of cows in the names. Power must return to the South, particularly the Southeast. |
Very senseless and irresponsible from this fellow. He says the South east is a barren land, yet he struggles the leadership of IPOB and Biafra with Nnamdi Kanu. How does he want to lead such an area which largely is Igboland? Why is he striving to become the leader of Biafra? Asari Dokubo should bow his face in shame. Aside from the oil and organised crime in his land, what else can he say about his state and community? “Igbos turn money into money”. We thank him for that compliment but wish to remind him that aside from sitting down, drinking ogogoro, carrying guns to kidnap and intimidate people in their own state, what else can he claim as good in his own state and community? Kidnapping was introduced by the likes of Asari Dokubo and now we see the result. His area is the only area in Nigeria where the people resist infrastructure and yet claim the NNDC embezzles their funds. Or how can one refuse simple electricity transformers to be installed in communities where there is no light, except a ransom is paid to their youths? How can one hold construction companies ransom for money before they can build roads for them? His own land cannot produce crops or livestock because he and his people play large roles in the pollution going on there. Without doubts, the Southeast is very fertile in all ramifications. The Southeast forms part of the oil producing areas in Nigeria. The largest deposit of gas in the country is in the Southeast. Agriculture thrives, commerce thrives and the Igbos invest in their communities with massive industries everywhere. |
“Came to douse the tension” or arrested the terrorists and their cows. The only way to achieve success with this law is applying the maximum weight of the law on those evil people. |
Sergio101:“Igbo enwe Eze” and Ganduje removed Sanusi, a first class without stress, talk less of a small king. Igbos need to wake up and stop that yeye talk. |
We were never one country - Bukola Saraki |
aikyg:Good. In demanding this “special status”, the government of Lagos state has not considered the possibility that other states or ethnic regions may demand federal character. What would be said about other major cities like Kano and Portharcourt? You also have huge migration to those major cities. The issue of VAT has opened the eyes of southern states and the pretentious northern states about improvement in revenue generation. A greater percentage should be allocated to the states and local governments. All the governors should be made to take their hands off local government allocations to allow greater impact in the communities. |
vanbonattel:And do you think that DSS would ever abandon an operational vehicle in this manner? Certainly DSS officials would ensure that the car was towed to avoid traces. Any DSS officer who makes such an error would be fired. That car makes it easy for that gang to be traced. |
Now it's time to get alternatives. |
BeeBeeOoh:Alhaji Aliko Dangote is not the most educated man in Nigeria, yet he is the wealthiest man in Africa and he has professors employed in his group. General Yakubu Gowon, Mohammed Buhari and the leaders in the sixties, seventies and eighties were not all universally graduates, they were youths, but the determined their destinies. As we speak, they are in the eighties and still remain political leaders. Education is available to those who want it. Sitting down and lamenting about how certain youths have chosen the path of greatness through shows like BBN does not help people like you. What the universities give out as prizes to their graduating students is their choice and business. Shows like BBN are informative and they in money for all concerned. Aside from those in the house, fans also win prizes and they are equally empowered. Lastly not having proper education sometimes in life may not be too much of a handicap for some. We have wealthy people among us who are not properly educated. |
No secret that on entry at the airports you can offer bribes to evade isolation and other covid rules. No secret that you can easily procure fake certificates. A lot of people who test positive actually get forged negative ones to enable them travel. Very soon most countries will not recognize certificates issued in Nigeria. Those who managed to get visas and tickets would be turned back at the points of entry, thereby wasting the monies. Something must be done about the stinking corruption at the airports. |
DWJOBScom:Return to the rented apartment and leave the brand new house to be inhabited by rats, cockroaches, lizards and flies? Which one is better? After some time you will hear that ghosts are seen on the walls. |
FairlyUSEDpussy:How? |
The parties to decide or Nigerians to decide? Sometimes I wonder how some of our leaders take the populace for granted. If a certain ethnic group feel choked, do the people not reserve their right to seek alternatives? The so called representatives fail at the National Assembly after collecting hefty salaries and bribes. The parties have failed. We know the politicians are enemies at night and friends in the day. The governors in the east now find that their hands are tied. They treated the issue of IPOB and MASSOB badly. If they listened and tabled their case carefully before the federal government, the situation would not have degenerated to this level. The northern governors looked inconsequentially on the east and now here we are. The division in the nation now has affected the governors, irrespective of political parties. They have chosen where they belong and they God they will serve. Ganduje should stop pretending with his comments. The truth is that the north can no longer hold on to power endlessly. APC showed us how it feels to be nepotistic and even their governors in the south have had enough of it. We are grateful to men of conscience like Gov. Akeredolu who have stood them all up and insisted that enough is enough. |
timesup234:How do you define defeat? Have you read through history about the emergence of Israel as a nation? How can you look at a nation with nuclear capability and say it has been defeated? If it was that easy why has Iran not invaded Israel, rather than arm and equip Hizbullah? Israel came to the realization twice that Hizbullah was not a pushover anymore in 1982 and 2006, but that still does not eclipse the fact that Israel has the capability to wipe out Lebanon as a nation off the face of the earth in a twinkle of the eye. It is true that Iran has one of the most formidable military on earth, but knowing that Israel is a nuclear capable nation, Iran cannot make a wrong move. Why is it that Israel has held its ground that Iran must not possess nuclear arms? The Iranians try to establish themselves as a regional power but do not forget that they have other enemies like Saudi Arabia, who will not let them establish leadership in the Middle East region. Do not be like the others in the world who think that the US was defeated by the Taliban in Afghanistan because of the withdrawal. The US has the capability to raze Afghanistan to the ground in one day like it was done in Hiroshima and Nagasaki to end the Second World War. Seeing the cost of staying in that land led them, just like Israel did in 2006 in Lebanon, to get out. Some scholars see it as a defeat, but surely it is not. |
MITCHELL96:Looking at his face can you not see that he is not a normal man? |
As if he was not a major player in our present predicament. If he performed respectably he would not have been removed as the Emir. Nonsense and ingredients as they say. In six years the country has gone from bad to worse. Nigeria was even rated as the poverty capital of the world. In whichever way he wants to disguise his desire to see a northern candidate, the south has many solid and respectable candidates. Abeg make we hear word. |
The last day when they begin to run to get that missing golden thing is the most interesting part. One can be the fittest person in the world, arrive the location long before others, but be unlucky not to spot it. |
lalasticlala:It’s not just you. It’s crazy. One seems incomplete without a Coke a day. Overcoming it is a very big issue. I thank God too I overcame it. |
An old debate. The truth still remains that come is fizzier. It takes better. But notice that Coke and Pepsi seem to be less tasty than the ones produced abroad. |
Sebastine1994:It is the people who make up society. Our society has long been mismanaged and dismantled by certain group of politicians who see politics as a ladder to get power and secure wealth. These professional politicians are those who have made it impossible for professionals to get into politics. If professionals cannot find their ways into politics and properly manage the affairs, how can we have better societies? These professional politicians award road contracts and ensure that the jobs are poorly done. The tragedy is that they drive on the same roads with SUVs purchased with such embezzled funds, not thinking that they too feel the impact, physically of their wickedness. This has been the lot of Nigeria since independence in 1960. We need more of the likes of Professor Charles Soludo to manage our societies. Do not forget the reforms put in place by Professor Dora Akunyili were very effective in the affairs of Nafdac. We had a Nuhu Ribadu who at inception was fearless but feared by the politicians. What about El Rufai in his short stint as FCT chairman? What we need to do is to ensure that the right people get into positions of power. Anambra state presents two candidates who can make things better in Professor Soludo and Dr. Maduka. These two are professionals in politics. With either of them Anambra state will get better. Others are professional politicians. Cheers. |
Now we can see the reason why El zaky zaky has been kept severally in detention and some people tell us that the man is being punished unjustifiably. |
No date for your training programme? |
Those were the days were we practiced unity in diversity. Inspite of the ambitions and aspirations of the political leaders, we had good people with integrity, openness and a lot of shared values. We had Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Chief Nnamdi Aikiwe and Mallam Aminu Kano. We also had some very bad eggs among the leaders but ultimately we moved forward. Independence celebration was always very colorful, very beautiful. Everyone prepared for it like Christmas and Ileya. Everyone shared food and drinks. Everyone looked forward to getting to TBS to see the planes flying over. Everyone scrambled to get the national flag. The planes would throw little balls bearing the national colors and all scrambled to get it. We had a happy nation even with the civil war behind us. Nigerians were happy in the 60s, 70s and 80s. It did not matter where you came from. Inter tribal and inter religious marriages were promoted. When it was Christmas everyone shared the joyful mood. When it was Ileya, ram was shared happily among all. This baba planned a coup with IBB, Abacha and the rest, executed it on the 31st of December 1983 and Nigeria never remained the same again since then. They started what was called “low key celebration”. While Nigerians were made to believe that the economy was bad, they were busy looting the treasury. Rather than talk about the 39 years wasted by the military, in which baba played active roles as a war veteran, military governor, minister of petroleum of chairman of PTF, we are told that PDP embezzled the purse for 16 years. |
ANDREW91:Never has this country been so divided along ethnic and religious and geo political lines as we presently have. Never have we as Nigerians experienced hunger and poverty of such magnitude. If you go out there you’ll find gas @N650 per kg, kerosene @N400 per kg, beans @750 and yet some deluded and bewitched people shut their mouths and stand behind a set of oppressors to support them to do more harm. At the pace we are going, these people fail to see the danger ahead. Who knows if we will still have a “One Nigeria” by the election of 2023? |
E don tay we him dey mmaya. |
TonyeBarcanista:Thank you for this piece. In all you missed the point clamoured for by the South east that the presidency should reside there in 2023. That way secessionist demands would be appeased. Situating the presidency in the South west would be a wrong and completely unfair move considering that the South west ruled in 1999 - 2023 and the vice presidency from 2015 till the present date. If we talk of one United and indivisible Nigeria then it behoves on the political leaders to do the needful, without fear, by allowing a president of Igbo extraction take over in 2023. |
A big thank you to that pharmacy owner, the community, the police and the judge. Hopefully it is not just a case of assault and battery, but also attempted murder. Hopefully the evil vampire of a woman stays in jail all her life. |
kingphilip:You said it all. Many thanks. |
Na so be their way. Paedophiles in the name of religion. |
Congratulations to Kaduna and not Ekiti state. OP tried to be mischievous. Probably he is from Ekiti state. |
Very terrible. Very unfortunate and very worrying. Just like the many others before this sad incident, it is the fallout of failure in leadership. We have leaders who feel that driving around with a retinue of security personnel guarantees their safety. The armed forces is overwhelmed. The police is overwhelmed. Within them also some take bribes to let the bandits/terrorists have safe passage. We have roads in very poor state. Electricity nowhere. Telecom among the costliest in the world. Salaries not paid. Gas @600 per kilogram, kerosene now @400 per liter. Prices of food very high, transportation cost very prohibitive We sincerely hope that room is not given to these evil men on the roads to kill all our decent people like Dr. Akunyili who are not involved in politics. |
