Exodora:Very well said. |
SarakiBukola:I thought so too. But I notice that the comments are largely on based on her attempts to sanitizer the city. As we know Nigerians resist good developmental efforts. Okpanam road and the surrounding streets have become a beauty to behold under her watch. The same goes to other parts of Asaba, Warri and Agbor. If she was that bad, the governor would have long removed her. As for her marriage their are thousands of female politicians out there who are not submissive to their husbands. The men cope and if it works for them, why should we complain. If their marriages fail, that's their business. The fruit stands in Asaba add to the beauty of the city. It also reminds us of the need to get closer to nature. Fruits are costly there and that should be the fault of the sellers. Do not forget that it is the so called poor who do their businesses at the stands. She has been a very regular and faithful member of MFM, Asaba region for many years. Her open anger at her husband in the church and subsequent divorce shows they had issues long ago. Lastly Mrakpor is a strong lady in Delta politics and we expect some of these actions, especially because she is a woman in power. |
"Transfer". I ask from where to where? Let it not be the usual story of "order from above". |
NORSIYK:With a coach like Pochettino, expect to see great football from PSG. The team as usual will be built around Messi. With Neymar and Mbappe side by side, Angel the Maria still doing his magic dribbles and a solid back, English teams are in for a run for their money. I actually thought that Man city would bring him to England but it is painful enough see him leave Barcelona not to talk of PSG. E pain me well well. |
GeneralPula:That absolutely depends on God and not man. |
Sarmiz24:The word “can” used in this context infers possibility and not “probability”. If you prefer to describe it as “probability” then “may” is the right word. May is “e fit happen e no fit happen”, quoting you now. When the word “can” is used, then there is a certain air of confidence surrounding the user that it is possible. If it is possible, then there is a certain “assurance”, quoting you once again. |
GeneralPula:I am sorry to disagree with you. Becoming what you want is subject to God’s grace in your life. Luke 12: 13 - 21 tells us the story of the rich fool who boasted about his enjoyment tomorrow not reckoning that God would demand his soul that same night. You can have passion, work hard, etc, but if you do not have the health how can you achieve it? |
SultanOfPuna:Go to the nearest beer parlour around you and get yourself a bottle of beer and isiewu on my account. I dey come pay. |
NORSIYK:See, you need to understand that running around the field for 90 minutes and potentially 120 minutes when there is extra time to be played is not easy. It is not easy in any league all over the world. Wherever a gifted player finds himself, pace does not matter. His skill makes life very simple for him. That is exactly who Messi and other gifted players like him possess and gives them confidence in any league they find themselves. Having excelled in all, what else is there for him to conquer? Looking at the purses of the English teams, which of them made the offer to cover his weekly wages? None. We heard that he would reunite with Guardiola, but Man city did not make any offer. Chelsea did not look his way. The big 5 in England did not make any offer to him. They had one whole year from last year to give him an offer, but they all could not. With no offer from the English, Italian, German and even other Spanish teams he surely would not be expected to be out of work in the new season. He got an offer of One billion for three years in Qatar and he could have chosen to go there, after all now we expect him to play for the money as he is 34. Since he only got an offer from a French team, then he must play there. PSG with the quality of players it presently possesses surely will be more difficult to beat by English teams now. |
Na so life dey be |
NORSIYK:Did you watch the 2008 champions league final between Barcelona and Man U? If you did, you”ll simply stop arguing about what Messi could have done or not done if he went to England. Without doubt, in all the indices of that game, Man U - an English team with Ronaldo playing in it - was completely humiliated by Barcelona - a Spanish team with Messi playing in it. Spanish teams have consistently defeated English teams just as French teams have consistently defeated English teams. What is there to prove and what else are you waiting to see? Once again note that football no be here. Even our local league no easy. |
Simply the truth. Football is an art. Football personifies beauty. When you see great players exhibiting certain skills, you wonder if they are humans at all. That’s why players like Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Pele, our own Okocha and Adokie Amesiamaka, always give joy watching. They are priceless and those who love pure and unadulterated football never mind paying whatever amount is charged to watch them play. For those who say the French league is a “farmer’s league”, they should at least play for their secondary schools or their streets to prove if football na here. Messi has broken all records and whether he plays in Qatar or China it does not matter to those of us who are swept away by his ingenuity and greatness. |
Oche211:From the mother’s statement it is very easy to deduce mischief and greed. I am of the opinion that the lady went to the highest bidder, in this case the GO. It is true that bride price plays a large role in a traditional wedding, but we find many parents who return the bride price claiming that their daughters are not for sale. Parental consent is germane in marriages, especially in our Nigerians tribes. The law looks at whether they are legally married or not. The evidence to the fact is the certificate issued by the government. If they were legitimately married in the face of the law, the man can sue the greedy and crooked woman for bigamy. Looking at the mum it is easy to conclude that she instigated her daughter to leave her legally married husband. The mum confirmed that there was a traditional wedding and a white wedding. The bride price in this case is just diversionary and intended to label a dog a bad name in order to hang it. |
Useless beasts. While in detention and for the rest of their miserable lives the ghosts of all those they murdered and sold their bodies as “parts” to be used for rituals, should haunt them all until they commit suicide in the most vicious methods. |
*FOOD FOR THOUGHT * £1 = N705 $1 = N505 €1 = N605 As at 02/08/2021 0.78k = $1 As at 02/08/1980 Are you surprised? We were far more productive in 1980 than we are today In 1980 the key reasons for economic growth were are as follows: 1) We were a net exporter of refined petroleum products. Today we import all our refined petroleum products. 2) We rode in locally assembled cars, buses and trucks. Peugeot cars in Kaduna and Volkswagen cars in Lagos. Leyland in Ibadan and ANAMCO in Enugu produced our buses and trucks. Steyr at Bauchi producing our Agricultural tractors. And it was not just Assembly, we were producing many of the components. Vono products in Lagos producing the seats. Exide in Ibadan producing the batteries, not just for Nigeria but for the entire West Africa. Isoglass and TSG in Ibadan producing the windshields. Ferodo in Ibadan producing the brake pads and discs Tyres produced by Dunlop in Lagos and Mitchelin in Portharcourt. And I mean tyres produced from rubber plantations located in Ogun and Cross Rivers State. 3) We were listening to Radio and watching television sets assembled in Ibadan by Sanyo. 4) We were using refrigerators, freezers and Airconditioners produced by Thermocool and Debo. 5) We were putting on clothes produced from the UNTL textile mills in Kaduna and Chellarams in Lagos. Not from imported cotton but from cotton grown in Nigeria. 6) Our water was running through pipes produced by Kwalipipe in Kano and Duraplast in Lagos . 7) Our toilets were fitted with WC produced at Kano and Abeokuta. We were cooking with LPG gas stored inside gas cylinders produced at the NGC factory in Ibadan.9) Our electricity was flowing through cables produced by the Nigerian wire and Cable, Ibadan, NOCACO in Kaduna and Kablemetal in Lagos and Portharcourt. 10) We had Bata and Lennards producing the shoes we were putting on Not from imported leather but from locally tanned leather at Kaduna. 11) We were mainly flying our airways, the Nigeria Airways, to most places in the world. The Airways was about the biggest in Africa at that time. 12) Most of the food we ate were being grown or produced in Nigeria. We were producing all of the above and more in 1980 Today, we import almost everything. There lies the source of the terrible exchange rate we are experiencing today and everybody reading this has a critical role to play in reversing this very UGLY trend. We have been talking about these problems and more for ages... It is not enough for us to complain about the exchange rate or point out what others are not doing or are failing to do, the key question is what are we producing or what are we planning to produce? Going forward, it's time to ponder and think of the way forward before it's TOO LATE. What solutions do you have in mind? * copied* |
Very painful. |
Sanchez01:100% agreed. If farmers summon the courage and ensure that option is nation wide then the evil people can enjoy doses of the wicked pills. You put your cows with impunity then be assured of mutual destruction. |
Sincinnati:I asked someone who commented two questions and waited for him to respond while we continued on the matter. You chose to respond to my questions without reading what I was responding to. You ended up not answering my questions. Why don't you simply read and get acquainted with what was said and the response before issuing your unnecessary threat? |
Maxymilliano:May I ask with due respect how many Americans have you ever heard were extradited to other nations for prosecutions? If such an order was issued by a Nigerian court, would the Americans bother to peep into the paper? Please respond. Cheers. |
peteregwu:After their healing their deafness becomes past tense in English. It is no longer "are" but "were". That's what he was correcting you on. Cheers. |
Do you think that in this age, an experienced policeman like Abba Kyari, with his image, personality and ambition, will allow his future to be ruined by someone like Hushuppi? While I am not attempting to hold any brief for Mr. Abba Kyari, but I think some caution must be applied. Without doubt, Hushpuppi was a bold crook, who would not bad an eyelid to ruin the careers of policemen and decent people who he associated with. I hope this is not a calculated attempt to future ruin the image of certain hard working police personnel like Abba Kyari and future tarnish the image of the Nigerian police. Painfully the so called rich do not do background checks about certain people who became rich overnight, otherwise such people would be treated with plenty of caution. One wonders why Hushpuppi out of the blues mentioned the name of Mr. Kyari. What's he trying to achieve? Unfortunately now the onus falls on Mr. Abba Kyari to clear the image which took him years to attain. |
stunnert:Art pieces are very good investments too. Do you not know that over time their values appreciate considerably, especially the great ones? |
Balaking:"If you want to hide a secret from a black man, write it in a book" as they say. Without reading he commented. |
toffyz:But remember they say “nearly cannot catch a bird”! |
Jerryherd:And the baba alayes in Lagos do not have the backing of the powers that be? You think cultists and alayes were not used by him to win his own election? |
slawormiir:Hahahahahahahaha. Bros you no well. But she follow una dey light up before na. Na offence to abandon poli? |
Gentlerespect76:Your comment is unbelievably well worded. It shows you as a person of great wisdom. You hit the nail on the head. Thank you for your comment. |
Thanos5555:So from where ever you come from you all agree with yourselves for one person to loot your commonwealth while you clap for him and live in penury? How do you think Nigeria can ever get better with such wrong beliefs? |
Laptop to do what? To learn how to repair or keep abreast with social media. Abi is it to help the man join the group of the inglorious men who damage the image of Nigeria? |
“The former owner of the hotel after leasing it out for 20 years”. Something does not sound right here. How can one lease out his property for a period of time and be called “the former owner”? |
Ezewuzie01:But Garfield aside, there are those of us who are getting enlightened by the decent discussion going on between you, Fergie and Vicdom. We may have questions to ask too. |
“To punish them”. Once again from the topic we can deduce that the bandits are known. When will this deception stop? |
