That my friends unfortunately is what power play is all about! |
Na today? Did you not beg to join? And by the way please take notice of the fact that if you want to succeed in Nigerian politics, uou mudt be a die hard gambler! |
Even in their own territory they are already trying to inconclusively instal one person. However for me in Lagos, APC going....going.....gone. WELCOME PDP and JIMI AGBAJE!!!! |
Have you done your research properly? Is it not in the prayer of parents that children should do better than them in life? Parents leave legacies and expect their children to build on and extend their legacies. I believe that should be your wish brother. Remember that in the game of power there is no room for sentiments. Bukola Saraki was well tutored by his father and all he read, he practicalised. He rose up when it mattered and fought for that political power from his father and got it. He did not wait for the crumbs. Kwara state is does not belong to the Sarakis alone and he understood it early. He said it to his father clearly that Kwara state is not their sole property. That even gave the likes of Lai Mohammed to opportunity to boast in Kwara today. The rest now is history cause just as his father was a godfather he now is a godfather. Look at this: which of his sibblings did their father hand over power to? Which of his sibblings rose up to fight for power? Which of them has power? NONE! Today he is the most powerful politician in Kwara state. It is a eye opener for people who want to wait for small tashere from their parents always. Ok now look again. Have you heard him and his sibblings fighting over their inheritance from their father. Life is about change, handing over the baton and moving on. Thanks. |
But the truth is that the youths must take their destinies in their hands. People like Useni, Buhari, Obasanjo, Babangida, David Mark, etc, who were military rulers were once in their 20s, 30s and 40s. They took risks when they planned coups and executed the coups. Some were succesful and got positions while some either lost their lives or positions. Power does not come for free. You need to make some moves. If we want to retire these men or we do not want them to occupy our political spaces anymore then we must strive for change and grab power as these - now old men - will not give up or go away. |
No opposition to the president, so step one completed using the direct primary system. Now let's get ready for step two - the indirect primary - and see how 'peaceful' it will be in all the states adopting it. |
Talk about impunity, corruption and imposition. The no. 1 is APC. Ambode has very clear legacies in Lagos. For me his achievements are greater than those of Tinubu and Fashola combined. Whatever Tunubu/Fashola started Ambode improved on them. He did not start Lawma but he tried to improve on it. He stopped the nuisance attitude of Lasma and VIO in Lagos. Simply put we have the so called private sector operators who prefer to continue using open and rickety vehicles for their refuse collection business. Visionscape is there to improve on whatever shortcomings there are. Our people want to continue doing the same things and expecting different results. We have refuse all over the place because the operators are in court with government. Clearly the outlook of Lagos is changing as the man tries his very best. Tinubu started the Lagos - Badagry highway issue just before he left. Fashola spent 8 years. Ambode has spent 3.5 years with a promise to complete the project in 2022. Can the two formrr govermors swear that they did not benefit financially from the contract award of the said project? If they do not want Ambode back, then it shows that Ambode refused to allow the collective patrimony of the people of Lagos find its was into the pockets of a few individuals. That is what I perceive, so they are making him pay for it and paving the way for the man who will do their bidding. Sanwo Olu has already promised that refuse collection will be free. How can he achieve it? Anyway APC is known to make unrealisable promises. Only those who want to be hoodwinked can continue with them. I voted APC in 2015 but with what I have seen so far from the presidency to Ekiti, Osun and Lagos, if Ambode is not chosen then my vote will surely go to Jimi Agbaje if he wins the PDP ticket. |
He will not win. For now by the political agreement the seat belongs to Delta north. So Pat Utomi or Cairo hould get it. And if either of the two win how can they defeat PDP with Okowa? Great Ogboru is always in the wrong party and that us the reason he has been contesting endlessly. The next goveror after the Ibo soeaking north will not even be the Urhobos where Ogboru comes from. I think his chances in the senate are better. |
Incorrect submission bro. Remember that 48 political parties contested the election. SDP got over 128,000 votes. If you tally that with the 255,000 PDP received, you'll simply see the rejection of APC in Osun state. Omisore pitched camp with APC to pay back Adeleke and punish him. This is part if the game of power and then APC took the advantage to get an additional 1000 votes to remain there. Now we all wait for the courts to decide if INEC and the security agencies played responsible roles during the election that handed over win at the last minute to APC. Now coming to your claim. Remember that the south east consists of not only the direct Igbo speaking people but also Akwa Ibom and Cross rivers states. Imo state has been declared the APC headquarters in the south east with a large followership and presently the governor's seat. along with members of the federal assembly. Akpabio recently defected to APC thereby increasing the chances of APC in the southeast. Rotimi Amaechi and his group command great followership in Rivers state with three senatorial seats. With the above bro how can you the conclude that PDP can only win in the south east, when the APC has large members there? See the clear truth is that 2019 will test the popularity of PDP and APC more with the likelihood of PDP winning the elections. All PDP needs to do is to get the right candidate and put their act together. Why did I say this you may wonder? The PDP has shown in Osun state that they gather more than half of the votes in that state. They electorate will be out to revenge the injustice done to the Adelekes. Omisore will decamp to APC but SDP has come to stay. For me Omisore was not the reason APC won but the security agents. Decamping to APC will not tilt the advantage in favour of APC. Next Ekiti state will see PDP having their advantage again. What about Lagos state? What will happen if Jimi Agbaje presents an Igbo man as his deputy? Have you forgotten how many seats the Igbo in PDP won in 2015? Now that we all know that the president is not honest with his fight against corrupt politicians what do you expect in 2019? Now that it is clear that APC has been forcing themselves on the people, what do you expect in 2019? Delta state is 100% PDP. Edo state is already losing grounds to PDP. What about the North west/east and central where PDP has regained lost energy. Look we all voted APC in 2015 but the wool over our eyes have cleared away. Nigeria had never moved one inch forward since then and will never move forward with the APC. Looting has reached a very unbelievable. Now we see vote buying introduced under this same president. Why is he not after APC politicians who give money to the masses at the polling units? Is this not an indication that huge amounts have been set aside to spend at the polling centers towards the return of the president? APC must go bro. Shine your eyes. |
Talking about regional integration. I think Fayemi is right in a way. Since APC now has control of the 6 south west states then, APC can remain there and ensure proper development of the states. If we use APC and the six southwest states as our mirror to look at other parties e.g. APGA and the south east states, then we can conveniently ask APC not to seek or expect any votes from the south east states. APGA should be allowed to win all south east states for effective regional integration. Sometimes I think our political leaders do not reason well. When people clamoured for restructuring APC pretended to agree but reneged when they got power. How can political leaders make comments that clearly are racist, tribalistic and completely selfish? Who told Fayemi that the southwest cannot flourish and prosper under great leaders from different political affiliations? Where is the evidence that the south west has excelled completely under APC. Osun state has been under the control of APC yet the state is under developed. Which magic will Fayemi perform in Ekiti states not to talk of the entire south west? Please oga make I hear something abeg. |
I wonder if anyone observed the manner or comportment of the professors who were employed to act in one capacity or the other during the rerun election in Osun state. The returning officer and collating officers who read the results in the wards were professors, all fully employed and working in universities. My little write up here has to do with the coldness of their reporting and their already prepared responses when they were asked if they noticed any form of violence with the areas that they were assigned. They all coldly responded that they did not observe any violence or complain within their assigned areas. Apparently they had prepared texts. Let me disregard the overnight reports of arrests of PDP agents and face the reports of the particular day. The media carried it all over how the police had connived with thugs to arrest journalists, particularly AIT staff and chased them away. Agents and voters of PDP were chased away and harrassed by police and thugs of the APC. At a point we were informed how INEC had complained about the negative developments during the election. Yet it became clear to the whole world as events unfolded that INEC was a biased umpire. Election observers were harrassed and chased away. The security agents who were deployed to the respective polling units to protect the voters and keep peace turned around to be agents of wuruwuru ensuring that their master's request was carried out effectively. Our respected professors told us that they did not hear any violence or complain in all the polling units. How far can we go as a nation when we have such men in our universities deceiving themselves and the entire nation? Umpires are supposed to be unbiased people ensuring fair play and justice. The professors apparently were waiting for questions on violence to be raised as they were told clearly what to reply. Democracies thrive when there is a balance. It gives the people the opportunity to choose who they want to rule them. You cannot force yourself on the people. If the best democracies in the world have these kind of men as empires, they would not have beautiful nations where our people travel to and never want to return home. They acted as men without consciences. I wonder how they can sleep on their beds with peace in their hearts. What kind of knowledge do they impart in their children and students? So if it is the case that "respected" professors are willing to ruin their images because of financial gains why don't INEC rather employ garage chairmen as election umpires - at least they do not care about their images and we all know what garage chairmen are made of. |
Fantastic candidate. Would make a very great governor or president. But in Delta state he is in the wrong party. |
It certainly Is very clear now that APC will not have the easy ride of 2015 in the west when the election of 2019 comes. Clearly now we are wiser. |
And too late she cannot decamp to PDP. Also there is no other strong party in Taraba. Where will she go? She chose Buhari over her godfather Atiku. Surely APC will lose in Taraba state now. |
I beg to disagree with you bro. The young man is already established. We should encourage young men who accomplish great things even at this stages if their lives. Never mind if he needs a political office. Most of our house of assembly members are school certificate holders. He is an employer of labour. I think it is within his rights to support anyone he wishes - including his family members - who aspire to political positions. Do not be seen to be bitter or jealous of his accomplishments. Other young men of his age are those who are thugs and are being used and destroyed by politicians in that same Osun state right now. My brother I think Davido's popularity has risen more now. I surely think he will complete his NYSC. |
Shame on Omisore who enterred into a coalition with the APC excluding SDP. He needs some basic lessons in politics. Politicians are just like chameleons. Only change to suit their environment. We will remind him of this coalition if APC wins and eventually dump him. |
Very clearly our politicians are selfish, greedy, diabolic and will never change. Suddenly Adeoti goes back to APC. Why did he decamp in the first place if not for personal gain? Suddenly Omisore agrees to form an alliance with APC because as he stated both parties will form a coalition if APC wins. But we clearly can see that Omisore is on a journey of vengeance against PDP and the Adeleke family. He decamped from AD to PDP and got the sebate ticket where he spent several years including political safety from prosecution. Suddenly 20 "political parties" have agreed to team up with the APC. The truth clearly is that power belongs to God. I hope these politicians have not succeeded in hoodwinking the good people of Osun state who have said NO to the Aregbesola government. For me with politicians like this the fight against corruption is a waste of time. The people must rise up and take power away from the hands of these wicked politicians. |
Is it not very clear from Magnus Abe's letter that the APC is full of dubious, greedy, diabolical and selfish people? How can Buhari claim to fight corruption with such men and women in his party? The purpose of setting up the NDDC is the development of the Niger delta as a whole. Is it not clear that the agency has been hijacked by Amaechi and the rest for personal gains? They say 'he who pays the piper dictates the tune'. Can Amaechi now reasonably claim that he does not get returns from his appointees? When will the EFCC ever seriously become independent? People like this should not be our leaders. On the basis of Abe's admission of guilt both him and Amaechi must be made to face the law The battle between the two men is the governor's seat. Rivers state is highly volatile and may explode in 2019. Truly the fight against corruption is the fight against the opposition. For me hopefully the PDP or any other party can take over federal power in 2019. This way we can see the dirty secrets of the APC. Also our politicians can be on their toes. Until we hold leadership accountable this country cannot lift up its head among the comity of great nations. Leaders who make embezzelment their watchword must not be allowed to return and must be made to account. I hope that the defeat of PDP in Ekiti and the defeat of APC in Osun state will be very serious messages to the thieving politicians. |
And this man is married to a judge!! Was he born in a motor garage? Why did he not become a garage chairman. Sometimes his languages are highly unacceptable. PDP is supposed to have a national leader and not Wike. He can as well resign his position as a governor and become the chairman of PDP. Because of his sometimes very stupid utterances PDP has almost totally lost Rivers state. Must the presidential primaries hold in Rivers state? Are there no other safe states for the PDP congress? Why must Wike always have his way? Because of people like him in the PDP impunity has not been eliminated. A few days ago on channels tv he said that he preferred decampees who returned over those who stayed back and became moles. Now why is he complaining about the presidential aspirants? Does he not have his own agents in other parties? People like Wike make decent people not want to associate with the PDP. His stupid choice of Ali Modu Sheriff ended up almost totally destroying the PDP. With his attitude it is very clear that Rivers state will witness the worst level of violence ever experienced during elections in 2019. |
The judge ordered him to open his defence and he has since been dribbling the court. Last week he wrote claiming that he was undergoing surgery. However it is very likely that there are clear evidences implicating him otherwise the judge would not have told him that he has case to answer. |
Mr. Shehu Sani think about what you have to do against El Rufai/Uba Sani to return to the senate in 2019. Hopefully after your pretence you will not return to PDP with abeg accept me. |
Exactly. Thanks for your observation. |
But in 1988 he was already travelling to the UK and doing business there while he was based in Ibadan with his family. He always lived well. |
Abe has two options: 1. Return to the senate if he can defeat his PDP opponent or 2. Return to PDP ahead of 2023. For now he cannot defeat Rotimi Amaechi. Clearly PDP will return in 2019 with Wike. |
What about invalid votes? What about the 1000 votes PDP alleges were deducted from their votes that INEC has not been able to defend properly? What about natural causes? Adeleke won the PDP primaries by a very tiny margin - 6 votes. Is this not history repeating itself? What if voters receive cash and vote their conscience? Once again for me APC should stop the gra gra and bragado. Going by PDP and SDP votes it is clear they have been rejected by Osun people. It is also a clear sign ahead in 2019 that Osun state no longer belongs to APC. It is also a clear sign that the south west as a whole is no longer the exclusive territory of APC. |
The amount of work political leaders do everyday is not easy and at times like these expose the fact that they are humans too. You cannot cheat nature as they say! |
Two things we must note: 1. Power belongs to God. Abubakar Atiku went from PDP to ACN the back to APC and again back to PDP all in search of the presidency, yet he has not succeeded and he is not sure of success with the amount of heavy contestants in the PDP race. Omisore must know that power belongs to God. If it is not the will of God he will struggle in vain. Also no matter his calculation, alignments and re alignments he cannot decide the winner. 2. In politics there are no permanent friends or enemies but permanent interest. Omisore decamped from AD to PDP where he was well received and protected when he was accused of the murder of Chief Bola Ige. If political interests have not made it possible for him to win this election inspite of his affiliation with SDP, then he must wait for another time to contest under a stronger party. For me any agreement Omisore enters into now is to protect his own interest which is one of the major reasons why he is in politics. The reality we presently face is that APC has been rejected by the majority of the people of Osun state. If you aggregate the votes of PDP and APC you will see clearly that APC has lost its so called popularity. |
Kalu going....going....going.. to the federal house of kirikiri for the next 14 years. |
Very laughable! 2.5 billion keh? From where? How? Abi we no hear well? And they tell us about corruption? What is the business of the president's wife with such amount? Ha! 3 years and story of 2.5 billion. If they complete the two terms how much will go missing? And APC tells us that PDP is corrupt? Who fools who in this country? APC must go away with their wickedness and badluck please. |
Game set for stage 2. First the governor will either sack or cause to sack the judge.for thinking he knows more than everybody. That way Okorocha will teach the 'yeye' judge a big lesson on how to behave next time. Thereafter the case will go to.the appeal court. Yeye governor Rochas always with occultic muffler over his neck. |
