PoliticsWhy Must Adams Oshiomole Resign? by Cantonese(op): 9:46am On Nov 09, 2018
Recently there has been a clamour from certain leaders in the APC for Mr. Oshiomole to resign his position as the chairman of the party.

The question why then arises. When Tony Oyegun suggested that the party should delay their primaries to enable stability of an already fragmented party the likes of Tinubu, Okorocha and co rejected the idea. They pressed for the removal of Oyegun and got it.

They all hailed Oshiomole as the messiah the APC needed and got their man. The man started the job the commissioned him to do and now they are lamenting. What has he done wrong? Must he put every member of the APC into positions of authority. Don't they know that you will not win always? When they got into their positions others lost and did not kill themselves.

Oshiomole suggested a direct primary system which would be all encompassing but some greedy governors rejected it. If it was very effective for Tinubu why would it not be effective for Okorocha and Amosun?

They must remember that Oshiomole has a tenure that he must complete. No one can hound him out of it, not even the greedy governors. The greedy governors took over the senatorial seats of serving senators and nobody killed them.

I think any attempt to coerse or forcefully remove Oshiomole will result in the final decimation of the APC.
PoliticsRe: 2019: 2000 PDP Members Defect To APC In Edo State by Cantonese: 5:04am On Nov 09, 2018
ManirBK:
No fewer than 2000 members of the People Democratic Party, PDP, have defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Edo State.
The defectors made this known in Okada Ward, Ovia North East Local Government Area of the state.
Led by one Jamiu Deinde, the defectors said they left the PDP due to their inability to access their incumbent lawmaker, Hon Omosede Igbinedion.
Deinde said Omosede, who is a daughter of the Esama of Benin, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, neglected her people.
He said, “We have suffered untold neglect, even as the promises to attract federal presence to the area, have not be met.
“Biggest of our pain lies in our inability to reach our lawmaker every time we try to, especially against the backdrop of her unfulfilled campaign promises.
“With all these and many others, we took the decision to align with the APC and support its candidate for the Ovia Federal Constituency, Dennis Idahosa, whom we have always known for his philanthropic work in the area as well as the state in general.”
The leader of APC in Ovia, Dennis Idahosa, while receiving the defectors, commended them for dumping the opposition party.
“It’s not just to join the party but remain committed to its course. You have come to join us to enjoy the dividends of democracy and that is what you will get.
“You are not going to be treated as a newcomer or an outside, our party is not like the one (PDP) where monkey dey work bamboo they chop.
“Just as you have come to join us, we will also be committed to your course, and together, we will sail and produce sometimes great,” Idahosa said.

Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha has denied the report circulating online that his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, is responsible for what Nigerians are going through.

In a statement made available to Igbere TV by the Chief Press Secretary,  Sam Onwuemeodo,  Okorocha described the report as a fabricated story and revealed that he never made such statement.

The Statement reads ,

"RE: APC RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT NIGERIANS ARE GOING THROUGH - OKOROCHA

"Our attention has just been drawn to a fabricated Story by an online medium, the Daily Post with the referenced Caption.

"Governor Okorocha never made such Statement and could not have said such.

"Unfortunately those behind the fake story didn’t mention when and where Governor Okorocha made such Statements.

"And we know the reason for their coming up with such gimmicks today. It is the expected publication of the governorship and House of Assembly Candidates of the Parties by INEC.

"They have come up with the fabricated story to see if that could help them out. But the truth is that it won’t help them.

"The Public should please disregard the false story."

Whether you call it goof or ganja he cannot be compared to the current president. At least he understands what employment means. He has industries and is involved in large organisations. He owns a university and knows what quality education and life mean. He is into livestock and crops and knows what food in the stomach means.
Have you ever heard our president engage in debates? He cannot even produce evidence of completion of secondary school certificate. The president only understands the language of cows and artillery. He has never run a business that we can talk about.
That is the problem of our country. Professional politicians in politics. Fashola a lawyer holding power, works and housing. Amaechi holding the transport ministry, Buhari a herdsman holding the presidency, etc. Politicians use his name to hold sensitive positions just to look. He is blind and those following him are blind. Who will lead who to the land flowing with milk and honey? His handlers make errors every minute and have become objects of public ridicle. The promised change has left bad tastes in the mouths of everyone.
However let is be known that so long as the poor man cannot sleep, the rich man will stay awake.
PoliticsRe: Is This Why Governor Umahi Has Been Crying Over New Minimum Wage? by Cantonese: 4:41am On Nov 09, 2018
Wisdomkosi:
By Wisdom Nwedene

Since the issue of new minimum wage by Nigerian Labour Congress emerged, I have discovered that my dear Governor, David Nweze Umahi has been crying that he can't pay workers the meagre 30, 000 naira.

While other governors are ready to pay workers more than 30k, my dear Governor is crying.

According to him, “The federal government collects 52 per cent of the revenue from the federation account and when I tried to put the N30,000 figure to Local Government Areas (LGA) it means they will borrow N1billion to add to their allocation, in paying salaries.

“I will definitely not be a governor to govern such a state and will never preside over a state that will allocate 100 per cent of its earnings to pay salaries,” he said.

Umahi from his statement has even threatened to resign just because of salary.

I'm ashamed that "the talk and do' governor" can't pay workers 30k.

Umahi’s attitude towards the issue of new minimum wage has finally exposed him. It has proven to the world that workers are poorly paid in Ebonyi State.

According to report, workers salary in the State have been slashed since Umahi emerged as Governor of Ebonyi State.

Ask workers in Ebonyi State, you will be shocked to hear the amount of money Umahi pays them monthly.

Umahi has hundreds of Technical advisers, Special Advisers, bought cars for Chiefs, take millions of naira every month in the name of security votes, feeding allowance, clothing allowance, etc but only 30k will cause inflation? I'm ashamed to see Umahi crying because of 30k minimum wage.

Let me share on how the country can pay minimum wage comfortably as seen online,

1. Abolish SECURITY VOTE in NIGERIA. Nigeria will pay N45,000 minimum wage comfortably.

2. a) Abolish CONSTITUENCY PROJECT FUNDS
b) Reduce no of ADVISERS to SENATE PRES(2), HOUSE SPEAKER(2), GOVs(4), PRESIDENT(5), VP(2)
c) Reduce current ALL Political Office Holders PAY CHEQUES by 51.5%, without exception
d) Do away with special remuneration to POLITICAL ADVISERS & PUBLIC SERVANTS eg; Purchase of Private Vehicles, Houses, granting Govt paid Vacations, paying for 1st & Business Class Transportations, etc, etc...
e) Abolish payment of OVERSEAS MEDICAL BILLS for Political Office Holders
f) Eliminate PRIVATE PRACTICE in public workforce
g) Eliminate participation of Public Workforce in Partisan Politics
h) Institute EMPLOYMENT BY MERIT, and eliminate UNDEREMPLOYMENT
i) Review and eliminate allocation of Govt paid POLITICAL AIDES & SUPPORT STAFF to Political Office Holders.

I strongly believe with the initiative shared above and my advice to Umahi is to calm down and stop crying over the new minimum wage, he can even pay more than 30k if he manages the resources in Ebonyi state judiciously .
The wrong people hold sensitive positions in this country. We have professional politicians as ministers, technical directors, local government chairmen, etc. All they know is embezzelment. Take them all off and allow professionals to get into those political positions. Nigeria will move forward rapidly.
PoliticsNigeria Is The Most Miserable Country To Live On Earth - Pat Utomi by Cantonese(op): 5:40pm On Nov 08, 2018
Professor Pat Utomi a political economist asserted that Nigeria is the most miserable place to live on earth

He stated that claiming that Nigeria cannot properly get ready for the election on 2019. He feels nothing works and everything is upside down in this country. Is this man right?

He recently contested the governorship primaries for Delta state under the APC in one if the two factions in the state. His own faction led by Cyril Ogodo is presently in court trying to get the APC to recignise them. However the APC recognised and presented the Prophet Erue/Ogboru faction to the INEC.

Is our country under a spell? What.is wrong with the leaders including Professor Pat Utomi? Is he in the wrong party in Delta state? If his faction was recognised would have have made that statement? While Nigeria is miserable for some it is glorious for others. What will he say about Venezuela with inflation beyond control due to corruption?

God has to rescue our nation.

PoliticsRe: Kwankwaso On A Condolence Visit To Tony Anenih's Family by Cantonese: 4:55pm On Nov 08, 2018
wink2015:
Without prejudice to the condolence messages the late family of former Board of Trustees, BOT, Chairman of the Peoples Democractic Party, PDP, Chief Tony Anenih is receiving from left and right and from all sections of Nigeria.

I want to say that Chief Tony Anenih and his generation of political leaders corruptly enriched themselves to the maximum leaving crumbs for the coming youth of Nigeria.

The looting of Nigeria treasury at the federal, state and local government level witness unprecedented TOTAL EMPTYING of the nations treasury for a period spanning 16 years.

Politicians that came into power after the end of military rule in 1999, abuse the political priviledges given to them and they defile and violated their oath of office by stealing from our COMMONWEALTH.

With the subsequent drop in the price of crude oil in the International market, Nigeria is now faced with a bleak financial future with increasing unemployment rate.

But sycophant are busy jumping up and down, crying crocodile tears for a man popularly referred to as MR FIX IT.

After destroying the country economy for total 16 years, the same PDP is still repackaging themselves under another corrupt presidential aspirant to take back power from the ruling APC leadership.

Nigeria is now at a crossroad between two fulani born presidential aspirant whose academic credential are average.
My brother hopefully you were born before 1999. You may not understand some of this things I will say now if you are a very young person.

You referred to how PDP politicians looted the economy after 1999 and PDP wasted 16 years doing nothing in this country.

Your words give some of us the opportunity once again to share on events in this country pre and post 1999.

Do you remember that Nigeria became an independent nation in 1960? Between 1960 and 1999 we had 39 years. Did you reason what happened to the economy for 39 years? In between we had some years of civilian rule in the 60s and 1979 - 1983. What happened to the economy all those years? Did the country develop and if it did how? Why did those in charge not put us among the best nations on earth? Have you heard about Malaysia and Singapore that were in the same situations then?
Why will you not hold the military and politicians before 1999 responsible for failing to develop the country. Nigeria has been existing since 1960. Why cut off 39 years and blame one party for wasting 19 years. The older generation of politicians of today across all parties were part of the 39 years that you have cut off.

Obasanjo/PDP took over from the military in 1999. Remember that political parties were formed with leaders in different parties. Those in the APC/CPC/ANPP/Npdp of today were governors/senators/ministers/leaders/local government chairmen and councillors in those years. What development strides were experienced in their states? Look at Lagos, Katsina, Yobe, Kebbi, Nasarrawa, Plateau, Kogi, Kano, Sokoto, Ondo, Osun, Zamfara, etc, territories controlled by the opposition parties of those 16 years. What can you point at as positive changes that impacted the lives of the people? How did they help the economy then? If PDP wasted 16 years at the center will you say those states were developed by the present APC leaders then? They did not waste?

Bros with benefit of hindsight not much was achieved. With PDP at the center for the 16 years you talked about the so called opposition then was not hindered from working in their states and areas. They all looted the accounts of their respective states and have become what they have become today. Before Tinubu became the governor of Lagos state did you hear of any factory/industry that he owned? Before Amaechi became governor of Rivers state he was PA to governor Victor Odili who brought him up. Today those men possess stupendous wealth. What about Fashola, a lawyer and chief of staff to Tinubu?

When you talk about 16 years of wastage remember to include all that held positions in various parties and states and not just the PDP.

PDP took over in 1999 with oil prices revolving between $23 - 30. In his first 4 years Obasanjo made effective use of his presidency. Today you enjoy GSM phones, your money is safe in the banks, banks became more secure, you get alerts, etc, drugs became regulated, EFCC/ICPC established to tackle corruption, exchange rates stable, food prices stable, etc.
Obasanjo left Nigeria airways with 42 aircrafts in 1979. None was left by 1999. MDs of Nigerian airways looted and are members of APC today.

Bros accusations must be balanced and not myopic. Issues must be looked at without bias. The truth is that in 3.5 years a party that promised change overnight has failed even the fundamental tests. We still bore the pain and understood with them, yet we have not moved economically forward. Even an APC current finance minister has blamed her own government for errors with judgments. Why then call "kettle a pot"? Our youths keep running away in their hundreds daily. No peace everywhere. Trust destroyed. Herdsmen raping and maiming. Abi e no happen for your village? Kidnapping, bombing and shooting everywhere. APC said voting PDP back will return us to 2009. Is it not better? At least we had peace, food was cheap.

My advise to you is to shine you eyes. Do not be deceived. Do not allow yourself to be used to deceive others. Let these bad luck people go away and let this country have peace again.

PoliticsRe: APC Confident Of Victory In Kwara Bye-election – Lai Mohammed by Cantonese: 12:57pm On Nov 07, 2018
CilicMarin:
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, on Tuesday expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress would emerge victorious in the November 17 House of Representatives bye-election in Kwara State.

Mohammed, who is the leader of the APC in Kwara, gave the assurance when he featured at the News Agency of Nigeria Forum in Abuja.

He said: “I want to assure you that we are very confident and we have put structures in place that will ensure that we come out victorious.

“One thing I can assure you is that the people of Kwara are strongly behind the president; they are strongly behind the party.

“And we see the coming bye-election as a litmus test and by God’s grace we will not disappoint the millions of Kwarans who actually want a change.

“The task of a leader is made easier when he has no vested interest and that probably is the greatest asset that I have.
“I don’t want to run for any office, I don’t have preferred candidates for any office. My major pre-occupation is getting a winning team.

“And I just to appeal to all our gladiators to appreciate that in any contest there is always one winner and that it is only when we win election that we all have won, nobody will be left behind.

“And when we win by the grace of God, everybody’s effort will be compensated. We appeal to them join hand with the team and victory is very certain.’’

NAN recalls that the Independent National Electoral Commission has fixed the bye-election in Kwara in order to fill the vacant position of the Ekiti/Isin/Oke-Ero/Ifelodun Federal Constituency following the death of Funke Adedoyin in September.

He said the party in the state was ready to support its candidate, Alhaji Abdulraheem Olawuyi, to win the election, adding that the election would be a litmus test for the APC in the state.

Mohammed said that the current administration had struggled so had to deliver on its promises by providing electricity to communities that had been in darkness for years.

Does it mean that without mentioning Buhari's name these bunch of politicians in the APC are worthless? Since Lai(r) Mohammed is the APC leader in Kwara state why won't he allow people follow him and vote because of him instead of Buhari? Will Buhari fix Kwara for him and Kwarans?

Speaking of the election, APC must not forget that the seat in question falls within a PDP territory. Will APC buy votes at the polling center as have been doing since? Have they prepared security and thugs to scare people away? These are the known strategies of the APC. Anything aside the above will be a very woeful outing for the APC there.

How true is this claim?

Deemor who hails from Tai local government area of the state was recieved by the APC leader in the state, the honourable minister of transport Rt.Hon.Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi and the chairman of the party,Ojukaye Flag Amachree and the Rivers state APC governorship candidate,Arch.Tonye Dele Cole amongst other party leaders.

Engr.Deemor who is an accomplished technocrat, businessman and philanthropist is now set to work for the victory of the APC in next years general elections.

https://www.viewsnaija.com/2018/11/rivers-state-pdp-chieftain-dumps-party.html?m=1
Sincerely APC is going nowhere in Rivers state. After the primaries, APC enterred into the reverse mode. Trouble everywhere in most states. Governors Okorocha, Yari, Amosun threatening to decamp, backed by Akeredolu. Some of their supporters already moved. Oshiomole appears now unable to control the party.

Now in Zamfara INEC ruled that APC did not submit the list of candidates and therefore is barred from participating.

In Imo state Uzodinma a recent decampee accepted over Nwosu. Delta state Prophet Erue/Ogboru over Ogodo/Utomi. Ogun state Abiodun against the choice of Amosun. In Adamawa governor Bindow a well known Atiku man over Aishat Buhari's brother. In Taraba state APC is totally dead. Confusion everywhere and court cases.

Those who contributed money, houses, hands, legs, etc are demanding their refund.

Now look at Rivers state. Do you sincerely think Amaechi can defeat Wike? That will be living in fools paradise. Wike will match APC money for money, action for action. The supreme court pronounced that Amaechi's faction is fake and not recognised. With the battle between Wike and Abe, do you sincerely think Abe will not move over to PDP in the coming days if APC NWC refuses to recognise him as the candidate? Oshiomole declared fresh primaries last friday in a move to secure Tonye Cole's ticket. If he does that APC will totally crash is Rivers state. Even as a few people have decamped from PDP to APC many more have gone the way of PDP. The truth must be told that as it stands APC is in deep trouble. Today four members of the house of reps decamped from the APC to other parties that included the PDP.

Grayxme:
The Spokesperson for Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organisation, Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN has siad that the plan by the Peoples Democratic party, PDP, crash fuel price is laughable. Keyamo Keyamo, spokesman said the landing cost of the product is around N205 and it is impossible to sell at a lesser N97. “At today’s international price of gasoline, no supplier will ever contemplate any scheme that will deliver products at such ridiculous price,” the statement read. “Those in the sector reading this must be having a good laugh at the opposition. A simple check at the international prices will show that even at the world market where gasoline is procured, it will cost not less than N158 to procure a litre of crude oil. When you add the cost of refining, plus freight, finance and port charges (premium), there is no magic that one would employ to supply the finished product at N145 a litre. Presently, the landing cost of the product in Nigeria hovers around N205 per litre.” “This is exactly what President Muhammadu Buhari has done since he mounted the saddle in 2015. The President has worked out a transparent system whereby the whole subsidy regime and scam has been totally eliminated. There is no cash incentive or payment again to middlemen,”. “The system under the past Government was that independent marketers and all sort of persons were allowed to import petroleum products on their own, declare non-existent volumes of these products and get paid for these non-existent volumes. “In addition, government would then pay them cash for the “loses” (subsidy) in selling at fixed market price. “Under this old system, more than N3trillion was lost. However, when these independent marketers could no longer bring in products due to high prices of crude and make profit at the fixed market price of N145 to a litre, President Buhari refused to further raise the price of petroleum products beyond the N145 per litre. “The President was also not prepared to go back to the subsidy regime. Therefore, President Buhari stopped the scam of overblown volumes and subsidy payments to middlemen.”

If you claim that you work for free can you say the same of when you were a prosecutor with the EFCC, in spite of owning a thriving law firm? Can you honestly declare how much you made with the EFCC as a prosecutor? Can you swear that you did not receive any bribe?

Where were you when APC promised to fix our refineries? Are you not ashamed that APC cannot match words with action? Nigeria exports oil and buys finished products at international rates, add also the clearing cost and you are here telling people rubbish. What will happen if our refineries are fixed? What will happen if exchange rates are better handled by better people instead of deceivers like you and APC?

The man who you lead his campaign team does not have a school certificate. He cannot engage in public debates. He specialises in the language of the army infantry and cows. He has not led a successful factory/industry or business organisation. He knows nothing about economics except the stupid stories and theories you and your gang of deceivers tell him. No good economic team in a country where we have the richest man in Africa and solid economic gurus.

Please stop all the wayo and cunny cunny. Let us have our peace again. Enough of lies, stories and bad luck. APC carry your load go.

"What shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul"? What positive things will the world remember these men for? Notice that we did not see the names of Jeff Bezos, Carlos Slim, Bill Gates and Warren Buffet - the richest men on earth! These men particularly Bill Gates and Warren Buffet have voted billions of their networth to wipw away poverty and leave the earth better than they met it. Surprisingly they sometimes fly commercial. For me they deserve truly the praise and attention.
PoliticsCan President Buhari Submit The Attestation? by Cantonese(op): 8:40pm On Nov 05, 2018
It is said that those who live is glass houses should not throw stones. We have been bombarded with stories of how our president has kept his intergrity, being a saint, the most honest Nigerian, etc. What we have not been told since he started contesting the office of the president is the unavailability of his school certificate. He had been presenting affidavits to cover up and previous governments tolerated it.

Now that the cat has been let out of the bag and we now know everything does he have the right to call himself an honest man. If he failed this elementary requirement then where is the evidence of his success in the fight against corruption?

Did the WAEC oga have to appear on national tv to make an issue of presenting the so called attestation? If he did not have anything to hide why did the president bring the waec oga to national tv? Did he have to go to that length to prove his intergrity?

As the commander is chief he told us that his certificate was domiciled with the army. Why did he not order the army records to forward the "simple" document to INEC? As an anti corruption crusader he should be the example. Kemi Adeosun did the right thing when she was caught. If he does not enjoy some unbelievable benefits, e.g., medical tourism, why has he delayed to resign?

Now talking about fraud. Can the president/APC submit that attestation to INEC? What will happen to him if another government gets in and establishes a case of fraud against him? What makes the president's case better than that of Senator Adeleke who has been sent to court? Ss already stated those who live is glass houses should not throw stones. Now we hear how the matter has become a dead case. Who killef it? Keyamo or Garba Shehu? God please save Nigeria.

How can Uche Nwosu boast that he will be the governor of Imo state in 2019? APC has submitted the final list since last week. How can the court change it? Where is the impunity in Oshiomole's action? Is it not impunity that Okorocha forcefully imposed his son in law against the will of critical stakeholders in Imo state? Uche Nwosu now thinks he can defeat big and established names in Imo state. Okorocha needed them all in the first place to become governor. Power belongs to God and not Okirocha. Okorocha joined hands with others to remove Oyegun. He called Oyegun all sorts of names when Oyegun suggested that APC congresses be shifted to a comfortable time after the elections. He thought that he could use Oshiomole as his tool to perpetuate his dynasty. The reverse has become the case. Okorocha should carry his yeye story comot. He will not even make the senate. That will be the second knock out punch waiting for him.
PoliticsRe: We Have Stopped ‘grand’ Corruption In Nigeria - Osinbajo by Cantonese: 4:37pm On Nov 04, 2018
cute9ja:
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo yesterday in Sokoto said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) government has stopped the ‘grand corruption’ that characterised the system in the past.

Similarly, Osinbajo seized the space to also absolve the executive of interference in the affairs of the legislature saying that it has always observed absolute restraint.

“There has never been attempt by this government in any guise to impede on the National Assembly. Governor Tambuwal who was then Speaker will not forget how he scaled the fence by acrobatic means to get into the assembly complex.

“I was Attorney General of Lagos State when the executive withheld our funds. All these were absolute impunity, threat and undue interference which are now in the past with the coming of this government”, he stated.

According to him in the past, governors and legislators ýwere under severe interference and threats by the executives. He said there has been significant change with positive and far reaching effect in reforms through democratic means, “We have been able to actualise and domesticate financial autonomy of the judiciary as an important integral arm of government.”

Osinbajo made the remarks at the 2018 annual lecture organised by the Barewa Old Boys Association ahead of its centenary celebrations slated for 2021.

According to the Vice President, before the current administration, the country experienced a lot of impunity, adding “We knew when the executive approved direct stealing and collection of huge sums from the public treasury to the tune of $297 million in a single swing.”

He enumerated the various areas through which the federal government intervention schemes have grossly impacted the citizenry to include the N-Power, Anchor borrower, conditional cash ýtransfer, school feeding and other beneficial entrepreneurial and skills acquisition empowerment ventures.

Osinbajo however, described BOBA as a social entity which has produced brilliant and dependable leaders with vision for a prosperous nation.

He extolled the visionary greatness of products of the Barewa College, citing examples with late Sir Ahmadu Bello for galvanising the north into the national system as an incredible foresight; Tafawa Balewa who stood for better Nigeria with federal identity and unity; Malam Aminu Kanoý who also stood and fought to stem social justice; Murtala Muhammed with ethical and moral discipline while Yakubu Gowon rooted his mission for ‘No victor, no vanquish to re-integrate the country after the civil war as well Shehu Usman Aliyu Shagari among others who fly the BOBA banner to constantly reflect their strides on Nigeria’s history and development to remedy and redeem the county’s democracy.

In his remarks, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal noted that the issue of good governance was a critical and necessary aspect to the country’s democracy.

Grand, grander, grandest. So we have moved to the next level called 'grander corruption'. Now that votes have become cash and carry at the polling units, the president got the position without even Standard 6 not to talk of WAEC, Fashola has failed with electricity, the political rich are getting richer. After grander it will be grandest. Hopefully our PVCs will stop you before you impoverish everyone.

PoliticsRe: APC: Oshiomhole And His Collaborators Will Fail In Ogun State - Gov. Amosun by Cantonese: 11:36pm On Nov 03, 2018
McMayowa:
PRESS STATEMENT
The Lies Oshiomhole Represents
.. He and his collaborators will fail in Ogun State
-Amosun
The Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has stated that the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, lacks respect for truth and decency.
The governor who was reacting to statements credited to Comrade Adams Oshiomole on the controversy trailing the primaries of the party in Ogun State also stated that the design of Adams Oshiomhole and his collaborators to hijack the government of Ogun State and hand it over to a gang of rapacious expansionists in the South West will fail.
A statement signed by Adedayo Adeneye, the Ogun State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, states that Governor Amosun notes the unsavoury language used against him by the garrulous party chairman, but that he will not descend into the gutter to exchange words with him because where he comes from, there are “acceptable standards of conduct expected of people holding certain offices, a virtue he wishes Oshiomhole would exhibit”.
Governor Amosun restated the contention of the APC leadership in Ogun State that the only gubernatorial primary held in the State was that of October 02, 2018 which produced Hon. Adekunle Akinlade as winner. He said the emergence of Akinlade was initially through a consensus arrangement as allowed by the party constitution but was nevertheless subjected to a primary election when some gubernatorial aspirants disagreed with the outcome of the consensus arrangement. “This is however, without prejudice to the sanctity of the consensus arrangement which Adams Oshiomhole hypocritically tries to demonise. Nigerians will recall that Oshiomhole himself was elected National Chairman of the APC by consensus arrangement which witnessed all other contestants to the office being prevailed upon to step down for him (Oshiomhole).
The ground on which Oshiomhole disputes the gubernatorial primary in Ogun State is that the result was not announced by the State Electoral Committee from Abuja, therefore the governor resorted to self-help. We wonder why Oshiomhole accepted the result of the primary election in Lagos State whose result was also not announced by the State Electoral Panel. Why will the same scenario be acceptable in Lagos State but regarded as self-help in Ogun State? Is it because it was executed by the Capo Di Tutti in Lagos State?
“We wish to call the attention of Nigerians to another evil being perpetrated by Oshiomhole in Ogun State. As at today November 03, which is 24 hours after the deadline for submission of names of candidates for the House of Assembly, Oshiomhole has not given INEC Party Candidate Form (CF001) to any of the 26 candidates who won the primaries for the ticket to contest for the Ogun State House of Assembly. The primary was conducted on October 07 by the State Electoral Committee headed by Col. Ali Ciroma. This is despite the fact that the State Chairman of the party had kept vigil at the national secretariat of the APC in the last two weeks to collect the forms. If Oshiomhole is denying the outcome of the gubernatorial primaries because the State Electoral Committee shied away from announcing the result, what is the reason for denying all the 26 candidates for the House of Assembly freely elected by members of the APC in Ogun State? We want Nigerians to note the duplicity and meddlesomeness of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and his gang in the affairs of the APC in Ogun State.
“It is also important to note that Oshiomhole unilaterally replaced four of the nine winners of the primary election into the House of Representatives. This includes Hon. Mikhail Kazzim, a serving member of the House who won the primaries by defeating Olumide, the son of Chief Olusegun Osoba, with 28,802 votes to Osoba’s 4,209. Oshiomhole removed Hon. Kazzim who won the primaries and replaced him with the man he had serially defeated, not only in the last primary election but also in the general election of 2015. In yet another instance in Ado Odo - Ota Federal Constituency, Oshiomhole substituted the winner of the primary for the House of Representatives, Hon. Rotimi Rahmon with the name of Hon. Jimoh Ojugbele, who did not even contest to go back to the House of Representatives but contested the primary for the Senate and was defeated.
“In his conduct, Oshiomhole is opening a new chapter in the history of elections in Nigeria- a situation where a gang of desperate politicians will sit somewhere in another state and write the result of an election that never took place; what our people creatively refer to as “Offshore Rigging”!. This is what Oshiomhole and his gang are trying to foist on Ogun State. Lawyers say “you cannot build something on nothing”. Oshiomhole and his gang are trying to build a storey building of fraud on nothing.
The governor also dismissed the claims of Oshiomole that he withdrew the security of the State Electoral Committee. “As regards the claim of Oshiomhole that Sen. Amosun withdrew the security of the panel, Indabawa, Chairman of the panel, is a retired Commissioner of Police. He came into Ogun State with a full complement of police team which he claimed was provided for him by a Deputy Inspector General of Police. How could Amosun have withdrawn policemen he did not assign or over whom he had no control?
“All of these have clearly shown that the motive of Oshiomhole is not the rule of law which he proclaims on the roof top. It is rather, an evil plan with some collaborators, desperate to hijack the government of Ogun State and add it to the harem of states under their rapacious gang of exploiters.
“As we have stated before, this evil design will not succeed in Ogun State. Our people are too educated, exposed and sophisticated to come under such odious arrangement. On a general note, Oshiomhole, who became the APC Chairman barely three months ago, is already threatening to write the epitaph of the party in his 100 days of ignominy.
Governor Amosun concludes the statement with an advice for Oshiomhole:”To Oshiomhole and his motley crew of co-travellers in ignominy, be assured that the music has just begun and we hope that you will enjoy the macabre dance to the music of justice”.
“By the Grace of God and the support of the good people of Ogun State, Hon. Adekunle Abdulkadir Akinlade will be sworn in as the new governor of Ogun State on May 29, 2019”, the statement concluded.

Very shaky defence by gov. Amosun. "we wish to call the attention of Nigerians" should be re phrased "we wish to call the attention of all APC members".

Having stated the above it is pertinent to ask gov. Amosun why he is so desperate and greedy. He w Kemi Adeosun on Nigeria and we are witnesses to the fall out. Is he truly not trying to become an Emperor? He simply shoved Tejuosho away to take over the Tejuosho's seat.Oshiomole. Powers of governordnd.

Lizzysamuel:
Popular actor, Chinwetalu Agu has opened up on his life, movie career, charity works and much more.

When asked about his frequent use of some phrases in movies, he said the idea was to create specific language slang, phrases, cliches, bylines and cash point to entertain people adding that no script writer has ever written his cliches or bylines and “Until tomorrow, nobody can do it. It’s either I asked the script writer, producer or director what the storyline is all about, from which I would create something based on what you have relayed to me or I would pick from my encyclopedia. I have over one thousand unused signature tunes” he said

“All my movies are sold out because of this signature. Executive producers and directors today insist that I must put it in any movie I’m featuring in. In fact, it’s the major reasons today that I am getting more roles in movies”

The comic actor said BBC and StarTimes recreated an Igbo language programme as a result of his use of slang.

When asked on the difference between Chinwetalu on screen and Chinwetalu in real life he said;

“When my mother was alive, many people confronted her with what they termed as my wicked roles in movies. But my mother told them that the Chinwetalu she gave birth to, was a complete gentleman. In real life, I am addicted to charity. I have helped many poor people without the knowledge of my family. It’s in my blood to give back to humanity.

“In one of my interviews, I narrated a story of how I built a duplex for a widow, who for seven years didn’t travel to her home town because there was no place for her and children to lay their heads. I beckoned upon God to use me to make the woman and her children to have a home”

“I started building the house with my small artiste’s fee. When it got to the decking stage, I landed a deal with Glo as one of its brand ambassadors. When I was paid for the contract, I rushed to complete the decking of the building and roofing it within seven days. People were wondering how I got the money to complete the building. I have done many other things to put smiles on the faces of the needy in our society”

If Okorocha is not a fraudulent person too then he should take up the challenge of governor Obiano and tell us the history of his stupendous wealth. He has never showed us his factories or industries and investment. Next his desire to become the president in 2019 is dead on arrival.
